Rhaxta
Plot
While the war between the Varden and the Empire escalates into full-scale turmoil, fleets of small ships, ancient beyond measure, are discovered. Three ships were seen at dawn entering the port city of Teirm. Empire magicians and scholars found them completely deserted, with no sign of any crew or other habitation. Reports stated that they had appeared to had been piloted using a device of ancient magic unknown to any magician or sorcerer in the Empire. Meanwhile, identical ships entered Surda. The Varden quickly came to the same conclusion as the Empire, finding that the ships had been piloted by the same ancient magic.

The only thing either side could decipher was a set of maps found on the ship. One thing that all of the scholars, Empire or Varden, could agree on was they led to the ancient homeland of the elves, far to the west.

The Varden, desperate to find any trace of the elves' ancient and powerful civilization, as well as hope of locating any surviving dragons, immediately started work on a fleet of ships. These ships would carry brave volunteers to explore the lost land of the elves, and to bring back what aid they could find before all hope was lost.

The Empire, under the order of Galbatorix, also built a powerful fleet. Unlike the Varden, their ships were prepared for war and conquest. Soldiers, mercenaries, scholars, sorcerers, magicians, even Shades and Riders, were gathered. The might of the Empire was being gathered to wage war on the new continent, and to harness whatever they could find to finally crush the Varden once and for all.

Strangely enough, similar boats were spotted in random areas near the sea and large areas, including Narda, the Hardic Desert, and several other locations. These ships were empty, and any passenger who dared set foot in them were seen dragged off by the current towards an unknown location (the continent to the west).

Now, as the two sides race against each other to reach the lost land, what will they find? And who will be the victor in the new war that is sure to come, transplanted far from home, but losing none of the animosity?

 Suggestion!
« Thread Started on Dec 23, 2008, 1:51pm »

Okay, I have a suggestion here, and I really think it should applied:

GET RID OF THE BLASTED PASSWORDS.

Or at least tell me WHY those were implemented in the first place, and give me a link to the appropriate thread so I can get my password right!

I dont know of what passwords you are speaking of, but I can name a few.
For the character profile password, its to ensure that new members have read the rules.

Actually, thats the only password I know of, aside from logging in.

I think it should be made a bit more clear what IS the password. Say in the rules *Hey psst. The password is the bit in brackets!*. As of now you kind've have to guess. Unless im wrong, and it actually does say somewhere the password is.

I didn't want to go "Hey! The password is in brackets, so you can just go to this thread, hit ctrl+f, search for the character "[" and find it" because then you're not actually reading it. I don't know how more obvious it can get without me going "LOOK HERE!!!" in giant letters. I mean, it's a stand alone word, surrounded in brackets, in the first post of the topic.

*ahem*
Long ago, this land was overrun by an unholy swarm of creatures called "no0bs". They spammed our cboxes, ignored our laws, and spoke in a foul and uncouth toungue that belied their stupidity. To prevent this, our most powerful guardians, the Admins, and their servants, the Mods, estabilshed a hidden password to gain entry into the kingdom. This way, the citizens of the kingdom would be spared from having to answer every single retarded thing that a "no0b" would ask.

The answer's about as obvious as the passwords themselves... It's. So. People. Read. The. Rules.

OH...well, I apologize for being Uncooperative and loud.

So the Ancient Guardians decided the Password must be there to prevent stupid noobs from participating in the games. I understand.

Thank you, everyone.

No problem at all.

HAH!! I knew my brilliant anecdotal metaphor would prove to be the most effective. Take that, Danny, and your now-needless translating functions!!

While it makes sense to have such a list, we constantly have a flux of no one posting, so our perspective of who's a rider, elf, and otherwise is constantly changing, so we're never sure what roles have been taken. Even our staff have multiple characters they don't always play, so I think, at the very least, we have 2 riders, 1 shade, and 1 elf?

Minimum, yeah, I should think so. Everyone else is either human or human-magic user. No real special characters are too active right now, so there's not much to keep track.

Perhaps a plot outline up till the last big event ended and a list of currents plots so new players can jump in easily. If there is one, let me know.

*dies laughing at Arkantos' Invasion of the noobs story* so true, so true.

Rping a normal human just isn't that fun. But it can be if you take the time and work your way up to the top. Most people aren't willing to do that though. I am not sure if you guys have a blank character system yet, but if you don't I think it would be a good idea to have one. That way Galby and Murtagh can just be blank characters and can be rped by anybody. You can also have hordes of blank soldiers who anyone can rp. Thats my 2 cents.

Oh and Fulcon? I SMITE thee!
