Powers: weather control, shield, heal, move earth, command plants and animals, earthquake, if killed she is reborn near the earth citadel and is left weakened for 4 days, the only way to truly kill her is to kill the earth as it is the source of her power
Abilities: endurance, survival, immunity to natural elements (ex heat in the desert or freezing temps, does not include magically created ones), excellent balance, can detect the pressence of Nether portals and Ender as a 6th sense
Traits: Loyalty, wisdom, nurturing, caring, generally peaceful unless threatened
Weakness: Her powers come from a connection to the earth, if cut off from it such as going to The Nether she weakens and looses her powers and will die within 7 days if unless she leaves the Nether. Heal and shield only works on those she who she is loyal to or have gained her trust. If the earth branch is sealed or lacks an elder she is unable to take physical form as she has nothing but the earth to protect.
Strengths: the heal and shield power strength in in direct proportion to her loyalty and/or trust in the person she is using them for. The more she trusts them or is loyal to the stronger he power, the less she does the weaker the power.

Tera Erde Neue, or Tera Nova as most know her by appears as a fox like creature. Rather small at only 2 ft tall and only 3.5 ft long she boasts being the smallest of the guardians. Her fur ranges from yellow to brown with a white belly. More often than not flowers adorn her right ear, these flowers never fade nor wilt reguardless of how long they are there.

Tera Nova some have speculated is mother nature herself. The guardian has never confirmed nor denied those rumors. When the rider branches were sealed Tera Nova was unable to retain a physical form and vanished. The remaining members of the old earth branch claimed she returned to the earth becoming one with it. When the branches were restored and an elder assigned to the earth branch Tera Nova returned near the earth citadel.

Tera Nova embodies nature itself and as such shares many traits that relate to it. She is timid and never openly seeks out war, rather she prefers to let nature take it's course and let time solve it. She is gentle, caring and kind seeming to be aware of the state of others well being even when they try to hide it from her. Unwaveringly loyal to a few she would die to protect them. But very few have this full loyalty. The earth branch member's by their very nature often are brought into her deepest trust and loyalty. She is slow to trust most she doesn't know and often does not even show herself to others.

She seeks peace and harmony though she realizes that is difficult and often non lasting. She has never been at odds with any of the guardians. However, Ender is her natural bane for if he pulled her into the Nether she would be cut off from the Earth which is quite devastating to her being. As a result of that danger she is able to sense the un natural dimension's portals, which acts as a prevention to help her evade danger by entering the other dimension. As Ender's magic is similar to sense she can pin point the location of the other guardian when he ventures out of his dimension.

Little is known of Tera Nova's history, even among the old earth branch her orgins were much shrouded in mystery. As myth has it Tera Nova is mother nature and as such was born when the earth was, but did not take a physical form until the rider branches were formed. During the time of the branches the Earth branch was very peaceful and only intervened when truly necessary. When the branches began to fall into decline the Earth Branch defended themselves with Tera Nova's help. And mostly due to the guardian's powers their citadel was not destroyed in any of the fighting nor did they loose as many riders as others such as the physic branch who fought against their own.

When the branches were sealed Tera Nova vanished from existence and became one with the earth. Unlike the other guardians she did not slumber during the time the branches were sealed, but having no physical form could do no more than watch as events unfolded and protect that in her charge, the earth itself. Some say her main force remained in Du Weldenvarden as the great forest was nearly always healthy and vegetation thick. Tera Nova did indeed put much of her efforts into the elven forest knowing they would not harm the trees like humans would.

When the branches were unsealed and an Earth Elder named Tera Nova was able to re-take physical form near the earth citadel and restored it to it's splendor. As their citadel was much like the elven cities her powers easily affected what had become over grown and dead.
