Standing at five feet an eight inches tall, Chase is at average height for someone his age. His weight though is astonishingly low at 92 pounds yet he can easily pick up a person who weighs double that and throw them 50 yards. He is no weakling and his body structure proves that. Chase has long arms that are not body builder muscular but still muscle bound. His legs are the same. The poor boy has wide shoulder and a deep chest that most men only dream about.
For attire he wears a simple white tunic made of cotton with a deep green wool half vest over that. His legs are covered by wool breeches colored deep green while he has soft leather hunting boots on his feet. Chase wears armor that he crafted himself, as the smithy's boy. It consists of a simple tunic of scale plate mail with a half helm and shoulder guards, bracers and greaves, as well as gauntlets. A small circular shield rests upon his back just over where his swords and quiver go.

Chase is young but responsible enough to have been made the town's protector as well as armourer. He is level headed and intelligent to the point that where most people see a sword he can see every line inside the weapon. This detail makes him calculating but overcautious at times. Chase has never been real playful but he is sociable and kind to others no matter who they are. He can often times be considered as more of a young adult in his behavior but not when it comes to his newly hatched dragon. He is too inexperienced with the dragon so he gets scared on what to do.

Chase was born as the second eldest child in a family with four children on the last day of June, just after summer was fully started. He, being descended from the royal family of the Palancars had a small fortune entrusted to him in the form of gold silver bronze and rare gems that were all stored in a safe in his family's modest house. Of course he still doesn't know about this amount of riches. Being the second born, Chase was overlooked in most things and had to spend his time looking up to his older sister Isabelle who was six years his elder. But he also go away with more than she did. Just in his first ten years of life, Chase was able to sneak out and not get into trouble as well as run amok in Therinsford without consequence.
It was when he turned ten that the young boy caught the eye of several girls in the town and he soon came to realize he wasn't worthy of being with them. So he began learning under his father Warren to be a blacksmith and trained with the town guard in the art of swordplay. It was this training that gave him the ability to defend the town from wolves with his friends. Around his fourteenth birthday he came across a dragon egg laying in the fields by the hills towards Du Weldenvarden. Knowing what it was, the boy carried it to his house and began watching the egg. Several months passed and Chase started dating a young girl name Kylie who was two years older than him. It was the middle of March when Chase came home from spending time with Kylie that he saw the egg shaking. It cracked and then the dragon hatched out.
Instantly Chase began caring for the lavender colored dragon and as he did, his hand brushed it. Searing pain rippled across his palm and up his arm until the boy passed out. He woke the next morning with the lavender hatchling upon his chest and a silvery mark on his right palm. That insignia marked him as the next in the rider order. With a quick calculation, Chase discovered he would be unable to train with the dragon by himself. So he packed bags and saddled his stallion before riding over to Kylie's with the dragon. Once there he convinced her to go with him on his journey to find Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Brightscales. They left that day and began the trip together, promising each other to stay together forever.

She has short but strong legs and a long tail with two spikes at the end for better attacking. With that are her wings, a lighter shade of lavender with bone like razor edges meant for slashing through flesh with ease. Her scales, while beautiful, are a sign to any smaller animals that they should hide. Of course this was at hatchling age.
Now that she is around three months old, Asuni is bigger, about the size of a mountain cat. Yet her legs are still short and strong with a long tail. Now though she has four spikes on her tail and a rather ferocious looking mane around her head and neck. That is also deep purple and appears to be made of tiny scales. Her incisors are so long they look to be sabertoothed tiger fangs. Along with that she has long razor sharp claws.

Yet she is also kind and very protective when it comes to Chase or Kylie as well as their family and friends. She will automatically see an enemy and it takes Chase telling her they are friends for her to trust them. When it comes to the girl she has known since hatching, Asuni sees Kylie as family and a friend in the long run. Yet to go along with all of this she is still young and playful, often neglecting training so she can play around.
