Emiryal nodded at Ash. It seemed he and Firern would have a detour before they would head to Belatona as ordered. And you as well, Firern answered. And yes we will meet you there with Ardocc. The black dragon watched as his ally took to the skies before watching Ardocc and his rider.
"The main castle in Uru'baen. There you will swear loyalty to the Empire." He didn't mention that there was a chance he'd have to swear loyalty in front of Galbatorix himself. It depended on the king when they got there. If not him, then one of the generals or other high ups would do.
"Firern and I will come with you," he said. Ardocc would need their word and proof to gain access to the castle at least. "You'll have to swear alliance in the ancient language. So we will teach you the phrases you will need to say to swear allegiance, on our journey to Uru'bean."

(OOC: Okay, now anyone who wants to be in Uru'baen can jump in) Entering through the immense gates always laid heavy on Ardocc's mind, but this visit was clouding his thought's especially. So many thoughts and some regrets racing through, and he worked hard to try and weakly guard his lofty consciousness. Emiryal had taught him the necessary words to not look foolish in front of the King, if he had to present himself, and otherwise not seem too naive and easily taken advantage of. The Rider also taught Ardocc basic etiquette and a simple mind guarding technique on their short ride to the dark city. It was evening, and there was a hazy yellow glow from a sinking orb of a sun on the horizon. It made long shadows of every corner and spire. Ardocc stabled his mount and placed his few possessions in a satchel that he hung from one strap over his left shoulder. He smoothed a wrinkle from his tunic and attempted to brush the travel dirt from his pants. He was ill suited to meet with anyone of nobility, but he'd already spent half the day with dragon riders. He sent his thoughts to Emiryal as he instructed him, Okay, I'm ready to go.(OOC: Sorry I said your char did so much Nedra, but we have a few people that want to jump in this thread )

[[OOC: Hope you don't mind that this takes place soon after Aydenn joins the Empire; I want to learn how things work alongside him ^^]]
The massive shadow of a dragon danced across the ground before Ardocc, vanishing as it passed over buildings and reappearing as it crossed the main walkway once more. With a sudden growth of size, a powerful wind blew straight into Ardocc's face, tan colored wings flashing into view. Landing heavily on the ground with several clicks and a dull thud, Da'Rehl's tail nearly missed scraping the side of a building, and he swiftly pulled his feather-laced wings in to avoid any further accidents. Aydenn rode on his dragon's back, laughing heartily with his hands in the air, his hair tousled and hanging messily over his forehead. Both of them seemed oblivious to Ardocc's presence as Aydenn slid off his dragon's back, clawing at his hair to try and tame it.
"I think we almost got that down, Da'Rehl!" He exclaimed happily, slapping Da'Rehl on the shoulder. The dragon snorted, pulling his lips up into something resembling a smile.
You actually managed to hang on this time, he teased mentally, a low hum rising up in his throat.

[ that's just fine Ardocc. I don't mind. It would be in Emiryal's personalty to have done that and I did imply it in my last post a bit. @aydenn: that's fine with me. ]
Firern was perched on a stone building next to the stables. The horses were skittish because of his presence but Firern gave them no notice.
Emiryal was waiting for Ardocc just outside the sables. His white tunic and dark trousers were completely free of dirt or any sign that he had been traveling earlier. He had not change though but used a quick spell to achieve it. He wasn't about to present himself before Galbatorix in a travel worn state. As for Firern he had done similar and the black dragon's scales sparkled like obsidian.
Then let us take wing, Firern answered Ardocc his voice deep yet flowing like a mountain stream. It was more a term for a dragon than a human or elf but the meaning in this case was more or less the same.
Firern spread his black wings and was about to take off when Da'Rehl landed nearby. He tucked his wings in quickly and watched the not-quite-to-graceful landing. You still have a ways to go, he said. Da'Rehl's rider had said they nearly had it down but Firern disagreed. Well unless they were talking about something besides the landing.
He didn't wait to see if they heard his comment or not before he took off into the air in a rush of black wings.
Emiryal watched Firern take off just after the tan dragon and his rider landed. "Then let's go. Varul, one of our spell casters has imformed me that we may have an audience with Galbatorix now," he said. He waited for Ardocc to join him before heading on foot to the main castle. Firern circled above them.

Ash was waiting outside the doors to the castle when the group came by. They walked in, and Ash followed along. This was going to be amazing. The king might even praise him because he found a new ally! This thing with the mind was slightly disturbing, but useful. The only issue is, this person would probably find the Eldurnari. That was the disturbing thing. He reached out to Shruiken, who Ash knew his wereabouts. Shruiken never moved from behind the chair.
Sorry to wake you, Master Shruiken, but we are coming. Tell the Eldurnari to hide their minds. This one can see unshielded minds, with his mind. Ash said to Shruiken. Now all they had to do was go directly to Galbatorix.
"Coming guys. We are almost there," Ash said. It was almost time for Galbatorix to get a new spy.
((Sorry if it seems like I god moded there. I needed to move it along a little))

(( That's alright it did need to be moved along. Um did you PM Rhax with a summary of this and stuff yet? If not I can. I just didn't want to repeat it if you had Ash. ))
Isikal's Eldundari had been left in the vault. Most of the time Emiryal took her with him. She had been given to him. But he had wanted to be alone from her for a while and had left her here. She didn't want to over step her bounds but through Shruiken she heard Ash. When she had been left here to wait Emiryal's return she had joined the others in the usual noisy clamor that Shruikin and Galbatorix heard from them. She reached out to the young rider's mind. Haha, Ash youngling, a mind can not be hidden you should know that. But we will guard our minds from him. He shall not hear our thoughts," she said.
"Yes, I'm coming," Emiryal answered. He knew the statement had been more directed ad Ardocc than him though. After all he practically lived here when not sent on missions he didn't need to be told that they were almost there.
Firern fallowed them. The streets were wider in Uru'baen to accommodate dragons and he found it easy to follow them.

((I had Emiryal.))
You know what I mean. This one is amazing. Ash thought to Isikel alone.
The group progressed ever further into the city, and got closer to the citadel. This was an amazing place. The elves had made this city good, Galbatorix made it amazingly impenetrable. This is where Iormungr had hatched, and he and Ash had lived for about two months((I think)). He had a place to call home, that the Varden may never get into. The elves would be harder to keep out. This was their city. Ash also would have to get some information on what was going on. Maybe Galbatorix knew of something. Oh well, Ash knew after this he would fly out almost immediately, Well, as immediately as Galbatorix would let him. He was still under the oaths, and would be forever.

Shruikan's thick neck writhed as he lifted his gargantuan skull. He turned a piercing, ice-blue gaze on the doors a few moments before they opened. 'The magics laced throughout the castle hide the majority of the horde. Unless of course, they wish to be seen,'[/i][/b] Shurikan's voice growled back to Ash. He had been having a particularly nice dream.
'The King is on his way...the newcomer is prepared, I hope?''[/b][/i] It was generally a good idea to have things ready and waiting for the Mad King.
His huge head swung over to speculate the newcomer closely- his great size meaning he only had to lean slightly forward for his neck to cover the length of the hall. His great head hung above Ardocc, before his forked tongue flicked out to nearly touch him. A feeling of deep, suspicious thought radiated from Shruikan for a moment, his pale blue eyes still resting upon the new man. He gave an involuntary twitch that ran down the length of his enormous back, before retreating back to his previous state, eyes closed and head curled about under his wing, as if asleep.
'When he seeks to test your mental capabilities, newling, do not try to stop him. No matter how difficult. Do. Not.'[/i][/b] he hissed mentally to Ardocc, before he switched to projecting his thoughts to all present once again.
'Kneel, now. The King approaches.'[/b][/i]
((Would anyone else like to play the king? I find I am not very good with him. x] If not I shall reply with him next post. ))

( No thanks. )
Emiryal listend to the parts of the mental conversation he was allowed to here but did not speak as little of it involved him in any way. Ardocc seemed willing and Emiryal hoped it would be a simple manner for him to swear allegiance. Certainly it would not be like his own captivity, he had nearly gone mad in that time. The king's torments were beyond mortal imagination. And the price was both physical and mental.
They walked along the passage way to the corridor. Two guards opened the large gate to allow the two dragon's entrance. As they entered the thrown room he heard Shruikan's words of warning. He couldn't help but wonder if there was still some good in the twisted dragon's mind or if he had only warned them out of formal etiquette.
Either way Emiryal knelt as Skruikan commanded and waited for Galbatorix to appear. Firern for his part lowered his head to show respect for the king.
