Hi, I'm Esa and I'm new to proboards.  I'm a literate rper (but not a very serious one in terms of mannerisms lol) and have been roleplaying for four years. I'm also a fanfiction writer but I tend to give up EVERY fanfiction I start writing after the first two chapters... If anyone could answer a few questions for me, it would be greatly appreciated! 1. When creating a character, do you have to start from the lowest tier (e.g., a regular human, regular dwarf) or can you move straight up to dragon rider? 2. Is there a profile limit? I already have my OC written up and her profile is rather lengthy (or so I've been told). Thanks! |

Welcome esa, to Arget and proboards!
We're not super-serious here (OOC anyway)
You can apply to be anything you fancy - with dragon rider and elf/shade applications we tend to be more fussy with who is accepted, but we mostly go for people who are more experienced in writing (and good roleplayers, naturally) than anything else.
Not sure what you mean by profile limit - but we tend to allow two characters per profile; but if you can keep up with them or have a neat idea you usually can get away with asking for more. I'm a bit soft on that x]
What fanfics have you written/started if I may? o: *curious*

Oh good, haha! I used to go on this one wetpaint site where everyone took everything you said COMPLETELY seriously and they made the biggest deal about everything...
Okay, I'll keep that in mind when applying. And just saying, I wouldn't get offended if I was refused. I can change my character if need be.
I mean a character limit/length limit.
*deep breath* Here goes...
- I started a Legomance Lord of the Rings fanfiction because my friend challenged me to make a good one. I ended up giving up because I realized how difficult it was to stay 100% accurate to the canon and I got bored..
- I wrote about two chapters of a Percy Jackson fanfiction and gave up on that one too.
- I wrote a chapter and a half for the Hunger Games from Haymitch's POV of his own quarter quell.
- And finally, my most serious project is the one I'm writing now, for Vampire Knight, which I have TWO ENTIRE CHAPTERS FOR

Oh I see! There is a 60000 character limit per post here at proboards so I guess that can be a cap (length of posts hasn't often been a problem, haha). We just prefer people to aim for 100 characters or more - but that isn't going to be a problem  And gawd I can see LotR being a real sod to write fanfiction for - good fun though! :] |

Okay, that's completely fine... and I'll definately go over 100 chars . I posted my character, btw. Oh my god it was AWFUL... and you should see the majority of fanfictions there, they're all like awful stories butchering the canon characters D: |
