Full Name: Orion. He only has one name because his parents never bothered to let him know what it was.

Age: He is 10-and-6-years.
Gender: Male.
Birthday: On the fifth moon, second day.
Eyes: He has almond eyes that contains determination and curiosity. His gaze is stern and has hardened and has become better since he is now a Shur'tugal.

Height: He is about 6'0.
Magic User: He uses magic because he is linked with his dragon, Aramis. He knows very few spells though because he is a young shur'tugal.
Preferred Weapon(s): He prefers his dagger which hangs from his belt at all times. But, his dad was a soldier and tried to escape from the empire and left him his old sword when he died. Since then, he has customized it to his liking and goes into battle with this instead.
Appearance: He is a boy of about 6'0 and weighing in at about 180 pounds. So, he's tall and skinny with tanned skin from years of laboring away under the hard sun. During all of those years of farming and such, he toned his body to his liking.

He enjoys the privilege of being a dragon rider and having the opportunity to better himself. He enjoys the feel of battle and likes to compete to his highest ability.
Dislikes: He dislikes cutting down men. He abhors this because he can see their faces every night when he closes his eyes. He thinks about families and friends and anybody that had contact with that person or was related to him in some way. He couldn't help it, he was an excellent swords-master for his age and loved battles but he did not like cutting down men but he will do it if it is for the better.
Strengths: His strengths are when he is sparring near his dragon, Aramis. He gives him confidence because of his poise and it slithers out to him, and allows him to do better. He is a very good archer and swords-master also. He can fight while on dragon back or he can fight while standing. The most important thing is that he can fight.
Weakness: His weakness is when he is separated from Aramis during a siege or a battle or any other type of warring event. The confidence that radiates from his dragon slowly seeps away to where he is until he's not so sure of himself and ends up getting beheaded in battle. He notices this on occasion and is working on improving it because he can not be around Aramis all of the time and he knows this. He was the one that scouted his own weakness as they fought lone soldiers scourging the forests.
Family: All of his family members are currently deceased. Now, the only family that he has is Aramis.
Not-So-Brief History: Once upon a time in Surda on the fifth moon, second day, a baby boy was born. He was born healthy and strong with almond eyes and smooth, black hair. The parents of this boy were very proud of what they had created. They were so proud of the baby boy they had created together that they wanted more of him than the current situation they were in now. They did not want their son to grow up around war and poverty. The boy's father was a soldier. He was nothing important in the army, a small, meaningless foot soldier in the eyes of Galbatorix. When he saw the conditions that Galbatorix had the city in, he wanted better for his family. So, he stole away in the middle of the night with his wife and his son. They relocated to Carvahall where the man became a miller and grew contempt in his age and let his guard down on the empire. A foolish thing to do. Now, that the years had passed, they'd finally been able to track down the traitor. They sent a couple of soldiers because they figured the old man and the woman were going to be easy to deal with. They were right. But, they did not know that a boy was going to be there. The boy, Orion, slew the soldiers with the old blade that his father served Galbatorix under and he took to the Spine with is father's finest steed. He knew that the Empire was going to search for him now that he'd killed soldiers. He ventured into the Spine, scavenging for anything that he could find that he could possibly sneak into the city and sell to someone and return to the Spine. He found a valuable rock. This rock had to have been the most beautiful rock he'd ever seen. It was a beautiful orange and webbed with white veins that seemed as if it were encased by the most wondrous arachnid. He kept this rock for days and something awoke him in the middle of the night. There, curled beside him, it's head positioned against his chest, a dragon. An adolescent dragon that was a beautiful orange, the color of the rock, and he realized that it had been a dragon egg. He smiled to himself and he touched the dragon. He touched the dragon on it's crevice and his right hand palm burned as if he had been stabbed with articulate ice daggers and pierced by arrows that blazed with flame at the same time and in the same spot. He blanked out and they just progressed from there. He soon discovered the mind link when the dragon began to double in size and he taught him speech, and he became very literate indeed. He named the dragon Aramis when he learned his tongue and began to think for himself. With their mind link, Orion discovered that Aramis enjoyed the placement of himself very much indeed. So it has been every since, they have been hiding away in the Spine together. He sold his horse since he had a dragon now and brought provisions and meat to last for them. He hand fed him until he was old enough to do that for himself then Aramis began to hunt for himself. They both were ecstatic at this as he was now predator instead of prey. With his carnissals dagger sharp and articulate, Orion believing that he is battle ready, and Aramis growing almost every month. They divulged themselves as inhabitants of the Spine, and took to the skies. He had heard tale of this Eragon and Murtagh from villagers when he went trading and now that he knew they had to be true, he set out. Where was he going? He didn't know. For now, he watches from the heavens, every little embankment, every movement, he watches. He has a decision to make and he doesn't know which to choose.
Dragon Bio
Name: Aramis. Once he was old enough to comprehend what Orion was saying to him. He told him that he needed a name. Orion began to rant on and on with majestic and noble names. Once he'd gone through the list a couple of times, he decided his entitlement as Aramis.
Age: He has seen the better age of a year and a half.
Physical description: A hulking, dazzling mass of orange that shimmers in the sky whenever the sun reflects off of his scales. He has no magic that has engrossed his growth progress so he is the appropriate size for a dragon that is his age. He has a strong orifice, that has produced carved, articulate rows of teeth protruding from every inch of gum in his mouth. His carnissals are deadly and can snap up anything that dares to venture through it. He has strong wings and velvety muscles that ripple underneath him whenever he fights or is just showing off. He has spikes extending from the tip of his head and one on his back, that Orion holds on to for safety. His whole demeanor is based on power. He is not one to cower away from an approaching battle like a hatchling, he shall fight. His orange gem-like structure glistens as his flies, the sun rays reflecting off of the shimmering scales. He is very noticeable if flying in the sky and he thoroughly likes to be seen. But, this could cause some problems if he and Orion are attempting to have the advantage of stealth. He admires the composition of his scales greatly even though he is of the masculine gender. His fire-breathing is quite natural, really. It is of course hot and smoldering, but of a regular mix of red and orange swirls of jetting flame.
Where they hatched: In the spine. He happened to chance upon his egg, where it lay scattered among the ferns and bushes. He happened to notice the rock because of the pigmentation of it, causing it to stand out from the cholorphyll-filled leaves. He carried it around with him until it surprsingly hatched one night.
Personality: Aramis has the personality of a warrior. He loves the engagement of battle which reflects into Orion's personality. He is outspoken and if he feels as if you have wronged him or his rider, he'll speak his mind or lash out. Though, he is not just all muscle and no brain. He speaks English fluently as if he were trained by the best scholar. He's crafty as I mentioned before. He is kind of like a fox in a way, because if he can't get through, he's going to find a way to get around you. So, in all, Aramis has the blood lust of a wolf with rabies, the strategic thinking of a general, and the protection of the most loyal person you can think of. Though, his personality isn't all perfect. Like his rider, he sometimes gets frustrated and blindly fights which leaves openings in that an enemy can take advantage of. Their personalities are so similar that it is pure to see that they are rider and dragon. Aramis and Orion's purpose are pretty much identical. Though, from his instincts, and his species, he has the blood-lust of a carnivorous animal with rabies. He is not the type to shy away from an approaching battle nor would he his confidence or courage be depleted if he went up against a larger dragon. He has confidence and that seeps into Orion's mind and eggs him on, making him believe that he can achieve anything if he puts his mind to it. The bond between rider and dragon is strong in this relationship.
