((Anyone and everyone can join in, no matter what your race or side - just keep the fights to sparring, okay? Nothing to the death or incredibly bad injuries (unless previously agreed with character's creator , keep it 'friendly'!). Will try and have a seperate one for aerial combat (dragons etc!) so we don't have too much going on in one thread.)) [[Oh, and what happens here stays in here! As in it doesn't contribute towards the plot - and charries that meet here will be strangers in the RP unless all involved agree.]] The clearing was walled off from the world by the tall, glorious foliage. Trees seemed to reach up and out to catch the clouds. A veil of fog trailed along the trees and poured like a huge waterfall into the clearing, filling it like a sea of mist. Alone in the clearing a figure stood, feet apart and shoulders sloped, as if compensating for a weight on the left arm. The creature's chest raised and fell in a deep, hypnotic rhythm. The half-elf's green eyes opened and caught the sun, and she began the irrefutable dance she had formed to adjust to her new weapon. Pivoting on a leg with the opposite knee raising, Rhaxta's left arm swung upwards to meet her right and she clasped her hands tightly around the handle of her new halberd. She lunged out, spreading her feet further apart with knees bent leaving her low to the ground, the staff thrust ahead of her, the pinnacle of which was a two-foot long spike. Twisting and stepping backward, Rhaxta saw in her minds eye a huge Kull with eyes of steely fire. Completing her twist, Rhaxta sweapt in a directional up, the great, curved talon on the side of her weapon sweeping up and severing imaginary tendons in the side of the Kull's leg. As the fictional beast fell Rhaxta skipped forward to reajust her stance as her arms brought the blade around for an unstoppable, downward blow. The great axe that weighted the opposite end to the talon plummeted down and staved open the helpless ghosts' skull. Pausing in that stance, Rhaxta concentrated on catching the little breath she lost. Her short and strong stature seemed to agree with the weapon; it gave her reach she had always lacked and meant she had a good build up of momentum with the killing blows. The half-elf straightened and pulled the leather band from the back of her hair, letting her gold-copper hair fall in a cascade and catch the light of the raising sun that now burned off the fog that had settled in the clearing. I don't think I described it too well so; visual aids!

Nandon walked onto the field and watched as Rhaxta attacked the invisible enemies he flicked his sword staff off his back and held it at ease waiting for rhaxta to finish then he spoke "Care to fight the ghosties? or care to fight a real opponent?" he said with a smirk his hair freshly cut short and the blue streaks in it seemed to be brighter.

Feanaro was up in a tree not far off from ware rhaxta was testing out her new weapon.he often enjoyed the solitude and sanctuary of the trees mainly cause he loved speaking to the birds and hearing them sing, also the trees provided cover from most prying eyes you could be hidden up in a tree and most would be ignorant of your presence. But the women in the clearing not 20yards away stole his attention it was not her looks that caught feanaros eye but her weapon. It was one he had not seen before and she seemed to use it with ease and skill as she struck down her invisible foe.
Feanaro loved to spar with anyone willing to practice with him everyone was different. Not all warriors were the same and that was the challenge that he loved, figuring the women to be friendly feanaro allowed the small bird that was perched his index and middle finger to fly away. Adjusting him self on the thick branch he was sitting on so that his feet dangled of feanaro jumped to the ground that was about 30ft below him. Landing softly and silently in a crouching position so as to reduce sound and impact,he stood to his full height and adjusted his duel elven long knives that rested on his back in an X. The blades were a gift from his father who trained feanaro his whole life and seeing his sons skill knew these blades would serve him well and he couldn't have been more right. The blades were identical 22 3/8 inches long, the blades them selves being 15inches and ending in a slight upwards curve.the handles were white, shiny and smooth almost like marble.
The women had yet to acknowledged feanaros presence ,he smirked to him self lightly at this.either sheh didnt hear him or she was doing a fantastic job of playing ignorant. they stood a good 20-30 yards from eachother and feanaro decided to close the gap slowly. As he approached the women he spoke in his gentle an friendly voice "that is a fine weapon you have there,I don't believe I've seen anyone use such a tool in a long wile nor handle it with such... skill" feanaro ended his sentence hopeing the women would accepted his complement.
A flicker of movement cought his attention and he watched as another entered the clearing. This one a male an he seemed to be pleasant enugh for he cracked a quick joke at the women feanaro woundered if they knew eachother. Still approaching the clearing wear the two were standing feanaro kept his pace at no more then a stroll he did not want to approach to quickly for he did not know what either would do.

Uruale was angered, tired, and agitated. He had been traveling with that woman for god knows how long and now she had wanted to stretch her muscles. How infuriating. He sat on the edge of the cliff in which the fog waterfall was falling down on Rhaxta. His gray slate eyes peered down at her as she stretched and sparred against enemies unknown to others. Her curves and body was etched with lean muscles that appealed to Uruale's brighter side, he slightly enjoyed watching her, but refused to show it. Behind him was the only female that shared even a portion of his heart, Flare.
She laid behind her rider, the fog flowing over the cliff was only high enough to reach the lower flats of her body. Her rose-colored glass-like eyes peered at his back, as he peered at the woman below him. She found the newcomer unusually close to Uruale, if only because she was traveling with them. Uruale had never traveled with others, what made this elf any different. She let out a snort than turned her gaze from him. After a few minutes she noticed a change in the partner-of-her-heart-and-mind's position. He had stood up and was now glaring down the cliff. She lifted her neck an alarm. What's wrong ?
Uruale looked on than with subtle twitch in the trees felt uneasy. He cast out his mind in the surrounded area and caught the presence of two other imposing figures. Besides the insects, mammals, and plants these two were the exception. They held a mind much like Rhaxta, it hinted off that they were possibly elves. Through the bond he had already grown less-than pointy elf ears. " I'm leaving Flare. Stay here and keep yourself hidden. Only come if I ask. " He said in a steel tone. He stood and leaped from the cliff, - his eyes had peered his way down already - he was no elf so he couldn't survive a fall without being damaged. But his mind and reflexes had been honed thanks to the countless hours of training and more importantly Galbatorix's cruel ways of making one stronger.
As he fell his hand snapped towards a branched and flowing with the momentum he swung himself to the branch across from it. He reached out grabbing that branch as well and spun until his heel could be placed firmly on it wood. His eyes looked down at the remaining drop as he kept hold of the bark and his crouched position. Afterwards he leaped down to another branch and feeling he was strong enough to survive the rest of the fall he performed a aerial into the air and landed next to Rhaxta. His swift drop left his red cloak to follow suit behind him. He looked towards Rhaxta with a impatient glare. " I leave you alone and this is what happens. "
He drew Reona with a quick motion of his right hand. The rose color blade shimmered and reflected the sun's light around the wilderness. A mosaic of pink and orange decorated the forest as he brought it to his side. It's golden cross guard fell towards the blade in the shape of bat wings. His hand rested on the black wire-material that wrapped around the handle, eventually leading up to the deep amethyst on the pommel. The blade was only an inch from the ground, leading up to the black glyph that appeared to be a stylized Z. Uruale hated the fact that he was going into battle without his shield but felt he had no choice. " Let's make this quick. " He said. Looking on at the elves with contempt.

Rhaxta had felt the approach of strangers before the mist had allowed her eyes to see them. She let them approach unharassed, however, and worked hard on keeping any transmission of fear or nervousness show through her body language.
She found it worked with animals, especially the skittish like horses and deer. She had once seen a lone wolf wander unhindered through a herd of red deer; they undoubtedly knew the wolf was there, but it they knew it wasn't hunting and limited their energy to the occassional snort and kick if he strayed too close.
A sense of relief washed over her as an elf-man approached and spoke to her, in not-unfriendly tones. Rhaxta turned to watch him for a moment before smiling gently.
'Ghosts are all very well, but I never seem to have the same grace when fighting a real opponent.. I would love an chance to spar- my calling is Rhaxta.''
She casually turned her head and watching another man- elf once again - approach and comment on her weapon and her skill. Rhaxta released a soft bark of a laugh and pinkened.
''Doing well for a girl brought up with clubs and swords, huh? Thanks, I've never really had chance to use it before. '' she regretted the comment almost as soon as she said it; she didn't much like the idea of anyone knowing she had been a barmaid in her Father's pub - anything heavy was a weapon as far as she was concerned.
With a sharp gast Rhaxta bolted upright as her rider-companion Uruale landed unannounced by her side.
''By the gods - stop doing that one day I might accidentally cut you in half.'' she said, with emphasis on the word 'accidentally' and with more as she hefted the great weapon and placed the end of the staff in the dirt by her feet. The wood of the staff towered over her head for a good two feet before it reached the multi-bladed weapon's ascent.
Rhaxta tried and failed to supress a somewhat cheeky grin spreading across her soft features in response to his comment on leaving her alone.
''What can I say? Trouble finds me. Although, I think this is less trouble than it first appears.''
Rhaxta cast a firey green glare at Nandon as he said he had a dragon. There were only very few things that made her touchy, but this was one of them. She had met dragons before, a suprising amount with her travels the length and breadth of Alagaesia. One of them was travelling without his rider so Rhaxta could communicate with the dragon freely - they were such intelligent creatures.
''I think it's phrased 'he has you, no one could own such a creature.'' she said in not-unfriendly tones.
Surrepticiously Rhaxta took a step back and cast her eyes skyward to watch the sillouette of the dragon, at this distance appearing like a leathered bird.
((No dragon fights here please guys this is primarily a hand-to-hand combat thread..you can make a new one though ((I will join in with one of mine!))

Feanaro narrowed his eyes at the new comer who landed near rhaxta, the other elf who appeared seems pleasant enugh, but this new guy had a hostile aura about him and feanaros assumptions proved true when the man glared at him and the other elf with displeasure and spoke "let's make this quick."
Feanaro was merely hopeing to practice with the women for she had a weapon that was both deadly and interesting to him. But then this man shows up whom apparently knows the femaleand an figuring it to be a mate or relative to her feanaro figured things would get quite physical with this one. Before he could even speak agian the other elf revealed that he had a dragon.feanaro almost didn't want to believe him until the great creature of the sky graced them with his presence. Thinking to him self "great now I have a rider to deal with as well" feanaro didn't know who's side the rider was on either the varden or empire either way feanaro remained caution of him.
Shifting his gaze over to rhaxta as she finished speaking feanaro gave her a small smile "well met rhaxta,I am feanaro derajsson. And for someone who hasn't had much practice with there weapon you move quite well with it from what I seen from my tree". Trying to not seem hostile feanaro kept his hands away from his duel elven long knives .he could sense that a fight would soon break out judging by the body language of the two other male fighters that were there both seemed tense but feanaro was as calm as light breeze that blew between the trees an into the clearing they were in. If a fight friendly or not broke out feanaro would not be the first to attack but he had every intention on finishing.

Uruale glanced at Rhaxta with unchanging eyes. It was hard to explain but the woman made him almost want to smile. He stepped forward and swung Reona to his side. " Less or more trouble makes little difference. You should know we don't have time to play with these Fair-folk " He said , mocking their title. He could tell by the way they moved that these elves were timid little warriors. He would have to make the first move if he wanted to end this - random act of sparring - with them.
His right-hand wrapped even more tightly on his hilt, thinking and arranging ways to defeat his opponents. Among many of them, he considered crushing their elven pride. How embarrassing would it be for them to lose to a lowly human. He twirled Reona with a flick of his wrist, allowing the mosaic diamonds to dance around the many solid features around them. Remember his intense training with Galbatorix and the many masters around him, the only thought circling around his head was to be merciless. To take down any enemy with absolute and utter precision, leave no one capable to defy his rule. No one.
Uruale let a snort of amusement escape his lips as he dauntingly stare at the elves. " I'm done waiting. " He told Rhaxta before dashing off towards the elves. In his stride towards them, he cleared his mind of all doubts and distractions. Wars was a battle of constant concentration, seeing beyond your eyes, and vigilance beyond any work you can fathom. He had seen plenty of war in his time and it had always proved useful to him. As he came within feet of the dark haired elf - the one with frivolous blue dye in his head - He brought Reona to his chest and attempt to slash out towards him in a forward motion. His brows brought a dark steely glare to his eyes as he came up towards him.

As the man rushed forward nandon remained calm and unmoving and when the sword got within inches of actually slashing him he caught the blade with the middle of his weapon and pushed it aside sending a kick to the mans knee as he brought up the bottom of his blade while the middle still held the mans blade to slash at his chest

''Everyone has to have their fun- even battle-hardened Empire rider's such as yourself. '' Rhaxta said with a small grin. Rhaxta felt she lost her skill with magic if she took everything too seriously.
And so- taking her own advice to heart - as Uruale approached with deadly intent toward the other elf with blue streaks in his hair, Rhaxta spun away and out of range, skittering to a stop not far away.
As Uruale and Nandon clashed Rhaxta shrugged and made a playful bow toward Feanaro - enhanced by a quick flourish and reposition of her weapon. trying to tempt Feanaro away from the melee with bright green eyes and a face that radiated her eagerness to spar.
Her step widened, her right leg just behind her and slightly bent and her left placed out to her side leaving her ready to spring. The blade-end of her weapon stuck out behind her with her hands placed as far apart as she could on the shaft, ready to turn upon a toe and throw out her weight sending the staff and talon-spike of the halberd in an irrovicable circle around herself or to twist and bring the large-weighted axe side down in a quick, forceful blow.
((Almost forgot to do my adminy part then D: Nandon just be careful you use full sentances and read through everything you write to make sure it makes sense. You have to be very clear about how your character stands and how they move. ((As in the bit above as Rhax hints that she wants to spar with Feanaro))

Feanaro stood in the clearing his eyes were narrowed his brow was scrunched down as well both of his eye brows almost touching. His gaze never left uruale there was something about the human feanaro did not like, and this fealing was increased by the humans obvious taunt thrown towards himself and nandon. Trying not to get to to riled by the cockiness and young of the human rider feanaro thought it best to not get into a war of words "such things were pointless" he said to him self. Feanaro began to wounder what would become of this meet, but his questions was soon answered as he watched uruale charge nandon with the quickness only an elf, rider,or someone who enhanced there body with magic could. He stood there his eyes still on the rider as nandon an him exchanged blows, when a movement from rhaxta cought feanaros eye.
As he shifted his head first then a few seconds later his eyes followed and he cought rhaxta in a slight bow, feanaro could see a kind of gleam in the womens green eyes flashing brighter with the kind of excitement only addrenlien from battle could give you. Feanaro found him self looking at rhaxta right in the eyes there was something about them that captivated him maby it was the fact that they were beautiful and green just like the forrest he loved so much, before the momment became awkward feanaro regaind him self .knowing fully what rhaxta ment by the bow feanaro bowed his head slightly keeping his eyeshead and nose pointed at rhaxta a playfully grin on his face. His father always told him "son always keep your nose on your opponent as well as your eyes ,even if you so happen to bow".
Reaching behind him feanaro grabed the hits of his white elven long knives and pulled them out of there sheaths ending in a sharpe *shink* sound. Spinning the blades in a complete circle in each hand feanaro felt his heart rate rise slightly just cause sparring excites him.
Seeing that rhaxta was more then ready to begin feanaro simply began to walk towards her, eyes locked on her upper body and nothing less. For you should never look your opponent in the eye wile fighting you can't benefit from that but looking at them from the waist to the shoulders you can see and dictate what they may do. You can be fooled by a persons facial expression but body language doesn't lie. As the distance between the two closed slowly feanaro made sure he remembers to judge his distance with rhaxta weapon she had the benefit reach and she was quick fast with such a big weapon.
Beginning to speed up his walk ever so slightly feanaro kept his sword at the ready if rhaxta were to attack as he aproached if she didn't then feanaro would make the first move when he got to the distance he had in mind. Smirking slightly feanaro said in a friendly manner "let's play"

Reona crashed against the shaft of Nandon's staff-sword, the conflict that ensued between the two's strength was short lived. But in that short moment, Uruale realized that a elf's strength was nothing to fool around with, for even an half-elf was several times stronger than a human. Though his expression remained iron-clad he was silently grateful for the strength that Galbatorix had bestowed upon him.
With his mind cleared and his body energy still at it's peak, Uruale made quick work of his current predicament. Twisting the hilt of Reona he flattened it onto the shaft of his stick - releasing the brightsteel from it's clutches- and leaped back before the elf had the chance to kick at his knee and swing at his chest. Uruale slid back a yard, staring at the man with a gleam of animosity.
His heart was bumping and his veins contracting, he knew immediately that this was the powers of battle at work. Uruale stood to his feet and twirl Reona of any of the shaft it had splintered off. " Disappointing. " He said, knowing that the elf would hear his calm, yet painful word. Then with a quick sidestep to the left and dash to right he found himself up on the man again. He was accustomed to holding the blade in his right hand and his shield in the left, so he struck with one hand. Applying all the power he could muster from his magic bound muscles, he aimed for the neck of the halfling as if it was real combat. Reona cut through the humid wind of the fog, giving the mist a iridescent shade of rose as it sliced towards the elf's neck.

nandon stood there calm as the man backed off... he was happy his sword staff was made entirely of metal or else it would have snapped under the blow nandon shrugged and returned the staff so it ran along the length of his body and stood there holding it in one hand he shrugged at the mans comment "Yes... I am rather disappointed.... I would have thought a empire dog could put up more of a fight..." nandon said as the man ran forward he saw the blow coming and flicked his sword up then using his other hand he sent a upercut towards the mans face with a good bit of power behind it

Ash flew in on Iormungr. He saw many riders there, their dragons watching from above. Go join them Iormungr, i am fightingFine. I wanted to fight thoughNo.Ash nimbly jumped off. He saw some elfs, some riders, and some regular humans. "Aww. No one left for me? Anyone wanna fight? I don't mind a three person free-for-all." Ash said, utterly disappointed that everyone was fighting. As Ash talked, Iormungr flew up with the other dragons and started conversing about their riders, and how they all thought they were doing below. It seemed like great fun to Ash who was stuck below, waiting for someone to spar with.

Ok, lets do it! Ash said, ready to fight. It had been quite a while since the last big battle, so any fight with three or more people would be fun. Ash set up his normal fighting stance, and pulled out Zarroc's Illiun and watched for a minute before lunging in at full force. Ash danced around exchanging blows with Nandon and Uraule((right? I'm guessing here...)). Ash passed a few blows between them both before jumping in the air, and landing behind Nandon. Hey, Back here elf boy Ash said, hoping Nandon would turn around, and lose his focus because of the insult.

((Careful guys, I know those that get annoyed by even a small amount of..gawd whats the term. Saying what other peoples characters do anywho. x] I dont mind much but make sure you tell each other if you think anyone has over stepped!))
Rhaxta grinned as the covert offer to spar was accepted. She took a few more steps back, trying to obscure the true distance by flourishing her weapon again. Generally, people kept their eye on the weapon, not the feet. However, Rhaxta was impressed that the elf was plainly watching her body language.
"Sounds good to me. Good to know elves are more observant than humans... I obviously trained with the wrong people... Well," she paused a look of uncertainty crossed her face. She glanced at Uruale, who had acquired another combatant. " Seems it is a habit of a lifetime. Last one turned into a shade...that was interesting." That had slipped out, and she hoped to the gods Uruale hadnt heard..though she suspected her knew from her time as a true captive.
Rhaxta believed herself outdone. She had been pretty much told she wasnt just human. Yet she would be damned if she were a full elf! Short, soft, even voluptuous, Rhaxta? Really? No, she would stick with what she knew. An elf would easily annihilate her.
So, the short little ragamuffin would have to resort to...other tactics. Hopefully the mention of a shade would make him stall...and if that were the case she would strike instantly. But as he approached she began to pivot on her right leg, showing slightly the back of her left shoulder to him..yet giving her a much longer swing with the full weight of her new weapon...and a weakness for him to focus on.
Rhaxta dug her feet into the ground. He might think he could get in quick enough before her relatively weak arms could swing the halberd over her head.
Yet she was more than prepared to give him a good sharp jab to the ribs with the butt of her weapon when he made the dash.
