Zander jumped back and to the side. It wasn't quite quick enough though, as he was clipped in the shoulder by the soldier. Knowing only the main bits of Empire training, Zander swung his fist into Aysen's gut as he turned. It was idiotic to be attacked for no reason.
Suddenly, Zander was propelled into the air. It was surprising enough that the soldier was attacking but now a rider attacked as well. Stenr Risa... The young man commanded. A chunk of stone flew up and nailed the soldier in the back. The magic was wearing away at Zander as he laughed. Never before had he been assaulted like that.
A roar emanated as the air was ripped by the force of a dragon's wings. Do not attack my rider. I am a king in these areas and you just attacked my friend. Glaeran started his descent to the ground. The whole time Zander laughed harder. Never attack someone who's a rider. Especially when they warn you before hand.

Freyja looked at everything in disbelief. Both men seemed to levitate in the air, as if invisible bonds kept them afloat. She heard the wings of a dragon beat the night air up above which only made her heart's pace quicken if it was even possible.
She heard the distant panicked neigh of Valeo soon followed by the sound of his hoof pounding against the grassy ground as he ran away from the danger. Invisible fingers of dread seemed to wrap themselves around Freyja's beating heart as she realized she had no more means of quick escape anymore with her steed gone. She watched in stunned and silent horror as Zanders magically threw a rock at Aysen, probably giving the imperial soldier a few serious bruises in the process. Freyja brought up her hand to her mouth, too petrified to do anything else.
She wanted to scream, yell at everyone to just stop but her fear paralyzed her. Her lower lip was trembling and quivering behind her fist and Freyja could feel her ribcage getting tighter and tighter, making almost impossible to breathe.
Ever so slowly, Freeyja started backing up, trying to flee the scene or at least Zanders' eyesight. Although for all she knew Aysen could be the 'bad guy', she had difficulty trusting someone who could use magic so easily. In a way, she felt more secure between the hands of someone who was more like her even if it wasn't, for all she knew, the right choice.

Zander groaned as the magic took full effect. Now he felt like he was about to pass out. Just about then, Zander noticed Freyja was scared. He decided that the best move would be to speak right into her mind. It's alright. I'm a friend from the Varden. It isn't what you think. Just stay calm and I'll protect you.

As she continued to back away ever so slowly, Freyja felt a slight pressure or disturbance in her mind. It wasn't long after that she heard a voice in her head, cutting through her own thoughts and overpowering them just long enough for Zanders, for Freyja believed she recognized his voice, to deliver his message. Although his intentions were to calm her down, the thought of having someone intrude on her mind, the only place she had ever thought impenetrable by all except her, made her panic even more. What sorcery is this?, she thought to herself as she sunk deeper and deeper into a blind fear. She brought up her hands to her head, grabbing at her skull and ruffling her combed hair. "Get out of my head, get out of my head, get out of my head...." she whispered to herself as she bent forward slightly, forcing herself to look at the ground in order not to be subjected to the view of Zanders and Aysen magically suspended in the air.
She couldn't believe how she managed to get tangled into such a situation barely 24h after she left the big city. In all her months of travels, nothing this extravagant had ever happened. She felt tears well up inside her eyes. Calm down, you have to calm down, you have to-, she told herself, unable to even finish her own thought as she felt a dark veil wrap her mind. Her body went limp as her consciousness slipped from between the tendrils of her mind as she blacked out, mind overwhelmed by all the events.
The last thing Freyja felt was her body falling on her back and her head turning to the side, a strand of wild hair veiling part of her pallid face. Her heart was pounding in her ears and as her vision darkened, she could hear the beats slowing down and she could feel her ribcage loosened as her fear seeped away.

Zander groaned as he saw the girl fall. It was rather obvious that she was scared of magic. At least now Freyja was out of the way. You gunna let us down yet?

Despite very little warning, Zander managed to dodge Aysen's attack, but not enough to avoid being clipped on the shoulder which allowed Aysen to get a good grip on the young boys shoulder. He tugged on his garments when the kid tried to punch him in his gut, destroying the any momentum the blow might have had. Although it was a kid, Aysen rationalized, Magic was too dangerous for anyone to control properly. Or so the Empire said.
Aysen then threw the boy to the ground, not wanting to kill him but at least subdue him or maybe even knock him out(Which would be harder but safer) as he walked over to where he threw the boy, a boulder hit Aysens back and shattered against it, pain exploding from the young soldiers back. Yeah Aysen thought Definitely knock him out...slowly. Magic, it seemed, was as untrustworthy as he thought. Luckily the battle had landed him next to his shield, which he grabbed, equipped, and turned around only to come face to face with a young green dragon, bearing down upon him, screaming into his mind.
Aysen bounced on his toes, switching back and forth from tipping on the balls of his heels imperial training kicking in. He slowly drew his sword, the sound of it being released from it's sheathe like metal rain, while simultaneously raising his shield so that he could just peak over it. From the looks of it, the Dragon could only be a couple of months old compared to dragons the Empire knows about. He also knew that there was something else that allowed Dragons to grow in size, but the Empire wasn't too keen about releasing said information. Alone, he could most likely take them easily, but a dragon and rider together? It would be a rough gamble, not to mention Freyja having a panic attack behind him and looking as if she'd bolt at any minute(Which in hindsight, Aysen would figure that would be the safest option)
The boy said something, and it sounded oddly condescending to Aysen's ears. "Look here, boy, I don't care who you are, you should know better than to come into someones camp and start casting Magic." His words were dripping with poison as that last word released from his mouth. Part of the Empires training was to feel the digging and clawing of a magician going through your brain. He wouldn't allow this bow to hold that much sway. Aysen then glanced up at the dragon. "And a rider, too? If I don't know you, you're with those scumbag, life-ruining Varden, and I will strike you down where you speak."
Before Aysen decided to act however, Freyja cluched her head. "NO!" Aysen yelled, charging at the boy before him but was abruptly stopped and then suspended into the air. Aysen thrashed against his bonds, hopping to make them weaker. "Let go of me you magic using fiend! Fight me with honor!" I was then that a new challenger appears! Yet ANOTHER magic user appeared(and an Elf no less), the one who seemed to be holding the both of them due to his facial expressions. He began to lower the two of them, and Aysen had a quick thought to just go out fighting, no one could ask for a nobler death against two dragon riders ( Aysen noticed flashes of his gedwëy insignia), one of them being an Elf. But then he looked back at Freyja and decided against the thought completely.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, Aysen dashed over to Freyja, ignoring the Elfs question to him. He didn't have time to wonder if the Varden scum had killed her, but he turned on his heels and protectively raised his shield, his eyes peaking over it and shifting between the two riders before him. "Stay Back!" He warned. "Or I will kill you!" It was brash and reckless, the odds of him beating an Elf dragon rider were very slim, not to mention he was out numbered 3 to 1. All this said however, Aysen was only a quarter bluffing. His body, his stance, and his eyes would tell anyone looking at him that he would die trying for his cause. And right now, that was protecting this girl from any further harm.

Freyja stirred on the ground, her brows knitted and her lips twitching slightly. She could vaguely hear things going on around but her forced torpor prevented her from deciphering anything in detail, almost as if a dark veil had been drawn over the world, hushing and muffling it. She recognized Aysen's voice but the more she tried to concentrate and tried to get out of her state of unconsciousness, the more the torpidity seemed to grow in strength. Finally she gave up and simply basked in the dark void, hoping she would wake up soon.

Zander gasped for air as he hit the ground. These small bits of magic weren't bad, but that stone he threw was quite larger than most he would've chosen. He put his hands on his knees while he gained some strength. Finally, Zander looked at the soldier and the elven rider. The rider was approaching Aysen calmly. No, brother. Don't trust that soldier with anything, much less your life. And you insolent Empire scum, I relit your campfire so there was light. Now I'll do this. Adurna!
A jet of water shot out over the fire and destroyed its magical light. After that, Zander spoke a few more words and his vision was enhanced with the light filtering in. He grabbed his sword and stepped forward. Attack me like that and expect mercy? I didn't harm her. On the contrary, she is far from harm, unlike you. Glaeran growled low in his throat and then swatted at the puny human threat. He didn't like people who supported the dragon-killer King. Especially ones who threatened him and Zander.

Nandon turned quickly his face almost in a complete rage as he flung his sword staff out to block the swat "You bring shame on your rider name if you think to start a petty squabble with a empire soldier! All you are doing is fueling the empires propaganda that we are the evil doers and not galbatorix! Calm yourself!" Nandon said in a calm voice that was a far step away from his face... his back turned to the empire soldier as he spoke... he turned looking over his shoulder he relit the fire then turned his attention back to zander.

Zander released the magic's bond to his energy and watched as his vision returned to normal. It was really quiet, as if there were other guards nearby. Surely, Glaeran would notice. I'm going to get the girl. Her name is Freyja, just keep the soldier busy. I won't attack him, you have my word as a rider. Zander spoke to Nandon. After he finished saying that, the rider muttered a few phrases in the Ancient Language. His body began to disappear as Glaeran snorted in annoyance.
Zander's arms and legs disappeared with no problem but then his torso started to become transparent. Zander started to become really light-headed and his vision started flickering like a fire close to dying. Finally, Zander completely vanished. He took a few wobbly steps and fell.
As he began to pass out, his thoughts ran astray. The last thing he knew was Glaeran roaring in worry. Glaeran desperately started feeding energy to his rider while he thrashed his tail. The green dragon projected his thoughts to Nandon. He is unconscious. It is beyond my knowledge. Please help me and forget about the soldier. They aren't as important as my soul-partner. Glaeran crawled over to his rider and guarded him.
((Sorry guys...I didn't see my pp in time. I'm changing it so we make this fair.))
