Nepherion removed his palm from Naegling's blade, the remaining visible light had somehow sent a wave of auric through its crosshatched frame. " Hmp, " Nepherion had started with his soft smile still on his face. He placed his palms on his knees and stretched his thighs out slightly, he could feel the strain on his inner thighs before he loosen them. " Its almost as beautiful as Brojska itself. " he complimented it.
Starlight had turned towards the eastward part of the forest surrounding them and spoke to Nepherion. " I'm going hunting, its been quite awhile since my last meal. "
Nepherion nodded, giving him the okay. To anyone else it would appear he was nodding to Naegling. He stood up from the ground and stretched his arms skyward, noticing that Bid'Daum hadn't said anything since his return in the process. He could only guess that he had entered that small pit of depression that he often had during the day.
Before Starlight had taken off, Rakaio had sent a disapproving look towards the two clad in white. The two looked off simultaneously towards the sky as if they were denying their own involvement. Nepherion even went so far as to rub his temple with his index finger in a clueless manner. After that though, Starlight had taken off with mighty flaps of his wings, his hopes obviously set on finding a deer to eat. Nepherion fiddled with a wing of his immaculate hair - near his cheek - as he watched Starlight disappear in the fading sunlight. It was good to know that such a spectacular and loyal partner was his and his alone. It was a great feeling, one that had warmed his heart every time he thought about it.
The youthful dragon rider sighed before walking over towards Rakaio and the unconscious Caspian. In the middle of his walk though an explosion had came from behind him, flinging rocks in his direction. The shockwave tossed him forward and off balance and a couple of pieces flew by him. Before he could react, a sharp flash of pain ran up his right shoulder and down his right arm. Nepherion gasped in pain before falling forward to the ground, holding desperately onto his right shoulder with his left hand.
Starlight wasn't far from the camp when a splintering pain was felt in his right shoulder. He roared into the air in worry, knowing that it was Nepherion in anguish and not himself. " NEPHERION !!! " he bellowed in tune with his roar. The roar had sent flocks of ravens out their nests and out into the dawning sky. Without a moments notice he banked to the left and headed back towards the gathering grounds of the others. His apparent worry had been strong enough to be felt by Nepherion through the bond, that much he was certain.
Nepherion struggled to maintain his composure as beads of sweat had begun to fall from his head. His left hand had begun to search for what had caused him such agony. Inch by inch his fingers had felt on the rocky surface of a stone embedded in his lower shoulder. The warm blood that poured from the wound had begun to soak the tunic underneath his armor. "... I- I'm alright Starlight... Just a accident... " he told him, still laid out on the ground in pain.
