Okay, I saw a commmercial for the Eragon movie on TV. But to tell the truth, i really don't like the Eragon they got. It loks like they didnt take a lot of time on it. And is his hair spiked with gel in the movie? thats what it looks like to me. And what's up with Saphira? She's a lot skinnier than i expected her to be.

Zar'roc has a blue stone?!?!?!!?!?!?! *growls* The pic you saw of Saphira is when she is still younger though....It would only be natural for her to be smaller....the real problem they had with her was designing her...she was supposed to have scales but it apparently didn't look that great so they made her look leathery.....T.T that and Arya has BLONDE HAIR!!! *screams in frustration*

I havent seen the commercial yet. But of course I must agree that Speleers is absolutely the wrong choice to portray Eragon, and the freaking actress who plays Arya could have at least dyed her hair black. I mean, come on. And the feathers in her hair? Um. Not working. =_="

I don't know why she is blonde-ish either... she isn't that bad looking with black hair, if I do say so myself. (Look in the second Resident Evil. Forget what it was called.) I've made it known that I have hated Speleers from the start. Atleast his hair isn't spiked in the movie though... Anyone else notice that Saphira's wings are effing feathers?!?!?!?!?!?!?! *fumes* Well, I tend to go on when I rant about Eragon, so, I will cut myself off. Honestly though, I am growing rather disillusioned with Eragon... doubt I'll even see the movie the first week, or the second, or third even. Really depends on whether my friends go and I go along with 'em. I actually started to dislike it after a while. Paolini's writing style was, as I noticed, rather immature. Acceptable due to his age at the time of writing Eragon, a concession I made. Plus, Eldest was written better. Although, too many derivations from other, well-known texts. Mainly just going to finish it because I tend to be very curious (painfully so at some points) and I want to see what happens in the end. From now on, I am going to try to not read books about how teenagers save the world in a year or so... (A reason why I like Wheel of Time alot, despite the extremely boring descriptiveness and sheer length. the characters have aged SEVERAL years, mentally and physically, and you get a sense of that in the way they conduct themselves. I believe it has spanned atleast 4 years, can't exactly remember. Most likely more than that. Not to mention there are plenty of naked women. Joking, joking. It's the lesbians that are interesting. Can't wait for that to become movies.) Well, back to Eragon. Where was I? Ah well, the story isn't so bad, a bit tiresome at points, but, conditioned by WoT. Ah well, I just want to see how bad-ass Galby turns out. (Did CP finish Empore before the movie came out? He might be influenced by the way the movie was made. Might not intend to, but it just happens sometimes.) *cough* Well, yes, rambling. Got to cook lunch, bugger. See what I mean about the rambling? (Don't worry, I don't hate Eragon. There are still some good things. I just don't remember them off the top of my head. *is a cynic*)

Not too interested in the movie itself, but will watch just to see Galby cornering Durza. And Murtagh, of course.

Ah, Ive finally seen the commercial. Its on a lot in the mornings. Not much to say about it except I cant wait to see the powerful greatness that is Durza. Not too interested in Galbatorix, though it will be interesting to see how John Malkovich handles it. Maybe he'll make Galby not such a 2-dimensional character - give him much needed life than what we have already seen from reading the books.
Such a long wait... *impatient*

Haha, I'm with you Nihael. I noticed it when the 2nd book came out and reread the first. If I read correctly... his parents own a publishing place, which is mainly why his book got published. I dunno if he attempted to publish it anywhere else though... but if he did, I think it would have been a few years til it hit the market.

The only thing I have against the previews is that Saphira has feather wings o.O that took me by surprise. But the rest I guess is up to interpretation, movies always tend to change the stories, I mean just look at the HP series, the books are just about double the characters/events/creatures, than are actually shown in the movies -_- the wonder tthat is film.

You know what is ironic to me? To see John Malcovitch go from playing a retard in the movie "Of Mice and Men" to seeing him portray an all-mighty dragon rider-king in Eragon.
