Not-So-Brief History:
Isillmera was born to Jod and Celestria at the end of March much to the happy couple’s pleasure. Issie was born just before the rider war when their order collapsed. At this moment, the city of Uru’bean was one of peace and prosperity, a city the elves treasured and valued. When Galbatrix took the city his follower, Morzan, appealed to those who lived in the city walls and asked whom would stay and pledge allegiance and who would try to leave and as a result, die. Her mother, who had already bonded with a dragon openly defied Morzan and Galbatrix and refused to pledge to him, taking her family they narrowly escaped with their lives, her dragon being a much faster flyer than Morzans dragon who was still tired from fighting the older dragons. Celestria planned to take her family to the new elven city deep within the sacred forest; Du Weldenvarden. Alas, her mother never got that far. Morzan was furious at the woman for speaking out against him and out flying him and his dragon while carrying four people. He made it his personal mission to find her and murder her dragon and her family. Celestria was deeply hurt at Morzan, a close family friend, treachery and her husband later told Issie it was a disbelief at him hurting her which resulted in her downfall.
It had been the middle of the night when Morzan had attacked. He’d landed silently and invisibly in the middle of the night and Celestria’s dragons warning had been too late. Morzan’s dragon managed to kill her before she could leap to protect her riders family. Grief stricken, Celestria shoved Issie towards her father and told them to run as fast as they could. In the blind panic and grief, Celestria was slow to lift her blade against him and was quickly defeated mentally by the combined effort of Morzan and his dragon. Watching, Issie and her brother and father watched in agony as their mother was slowly tortured in front of them. Recklessly, Cilton had entered the mental battle and died with his mother as, still not having had that much training, he was unprepared for two strong mind attacks at once. It was at this moment Jod had decided to take his lost wife’s advice and run with his only remaining child. Morzan had little interest in the husband and child and so returned to Galbatrix.
Jod and Issie arrived back in Du Weldenverden two weeks later, tired and grief-stricken. Jod tried to bring Issie up as best as he could but he simply wasn’t her mother and he couldn’t remove the nightmares her mother and brothers murders caused. Issie threw herself into the work of magic, having seen two close family members die from the effects of it she vowed she would kill Morzan in the same brutish fashion. Unfortunately of course, Brom beat her to the mark but by then she was so in love with the subject she turned her sights to helping those who wanted to over throw Galbatrix and restore the old ways, the days of the rider. When news reached the city of Saphira and Eragon her spirits rose and the hope that perhaps another egg could be rescued entered her mind. Issie became a close friend of Arya’s in her dreams to bring about the Riders again and accompanied her on many of her journeys. When Arya didn’t return after Saphira’s egg had reached Eragon and the dragon had grown, Issie became worried and set out to find her. She thought Galbatrix would keep her in his own palace and so set out for the place she was born.
Uru’bean was nothing like it had been when she had lived there. With her hood up, Issie had snuck into the city walls and then taken on the appearance of one of the maids that helped within the palace walls and snuck in through the servant’s entrance. Later when Issie thought back to that moment and kicked herself for her stupidity; Galbatrix was a skilled magician, she was just a girl. He’d caught her, not as quickly as he’d have licked Issie thought smugly, but he’d caught her never the less.
The next few weeks were torture. Of course, he thought her a spy in service of the Varden. In talking about them he told her more than she already knew, where they were, where Eragon and Saphira were, how they were faring. He thought he was clever, he thought she was stupid. When he’d caught Murtagh, she made her escape. He was too preoccupied with her mother’s murderer’s son to pay her any mind. In a sheer bit of luck and a bit of male stupidity she tempted one of his nobles into letting her go so she could pledge herself to Galbatrix. Delighted with the thought they had broken her, they had let her go. Issie didn’t have another chance and so seized the opportunity with both hands, knocking the lord unconscious she’d made her escape. His palace was like a maze. In one room in a stroke of luck she had found her cape, boots and weapons. A few false tries later the alarm went up to signal her escape just as she’d stumbled into a room where three eggs sat. Unable to take them all Issie had taken the crystal egg and escaped with her life. It took her a few days to get out of the city completely after stealing a horse and paying off one of the humans in the city who worked on the farm. He was kind and smart and soon had her as far away as he could from the city. There she stayed for a bit until she regained some manner of strength and there the egg hatched to her. Over joyed and excited she’d left quickly in fear Galbatrix would find out and left the man oblivious to her path so Galbatrix would only have to read his mind to know he spoke the truth.
Issie is now travelling in search of the Varden with no idea where they are, only knowing they were in Surda. Will she be able to meet with the Varden before the Empires other dragon riders catch up with her?
Anything extra:
Dragon's Name: Teirar [Issie calls her Snowy as a nickname]
Birthplace: Uru’bean
Gender: Female
Color: Diamond, white, though in the sun her scales tend to reflect the colours of the rainbow.
Eyes: Deep sky blue.
Physical Appearance: Still being quite young but with a growing appetite, Teirar is growing at a good speed. At the moment she is big enough to ride but not big enough to be much of an imposing figure unless of course you were a human in which case she’d still be a pretty terrifying figure. Her crystal like scales allow her to blend in easily with the area around her, reflecting the environment she is in unless in direct sunlight, under which she looks almost like a chandelier. Beautiful yet terrifying Teirar is definitely a sight to behold.
Personality: Teirar is still very young and so still very playful. She has been affected greatly by the bond with Issie and her memories. She feels a great sorrow at the loss of her riders mother and brother as well as wanting to take revenge on those that had hurt her rider so. She is very calm and likes to think things through at every possible angle before acting upon it unless she is caught in one of her rare and dangerous bad moods. Teirar is a tactical fighter and often likes to think ‘outside the box’. She craves knowledge and loves listening to stories. When she isn’t making riddles or listening to stories Teirar shows her excelling skill at hunting and the art of magic, with the help of her rider Issie. Of course she is still young and so developing.
