Orion's eyes before he became a rider were always bright, wide open, and full of curiosity. Being human, they weren't some unnatural color as humans saw it, they were a light brown. As he grew older, the look he gave people never changed, always happiness and little hate. The day he became a rider, well, lets just say what happened that day, as described in the history, changed his view on things. Now as other people saw him, he didn't have the look like that bright young 17 year old. Now he had a dark brown eyes that could be deceived as friendly, but your opinion on that quickly changed. Just by looking at his eyes, you knew something had changed about him.
There isn't much to say about Orion's hair. That hasn't changed much, but to describe it, you could say it was a dark shade of brown. Much like the color of wood, it was bordering on the edge of becoming black, but it wasn't quite there. Nowadays, most people see it as a black because of sweat, but when it is dry, it is the color of wood. His hair is also wavy and is no longer than his ear tips.
Within 2 months of joining the Empire, the empire had managed to make him his own Rider blade. It doesn't have any special powers like Eragon's. What it does have though, is that it is a true Rider sword and was called Rauthr or misery. Now it's appearance is quite startling, like his dragon, it is pure black and inscribed on the blade is the words Du Súndavar Freohr or death of the shadows. In the hilt is an onyx stone. The sword itself is a broadsword with the blade a little bit longer than his arm. Like Eragon's, it was crafted in a way that he can use one hand or two hands. His other preferred weapon is magic simply.
Along with his dark brown hair and eyes, Ryan is caucasian and buff you could say. He was seen as handsome in Aroughs by many, though in the Empire, he hasn't seen too much luck. Anyways, he has several scars over his body, one from his elbow to mid-arm which curved inwards. To name a few more scars, there is one on his lower leg, on his calf, on the palm of his left hand, above his eye, and on his back. Like most Riders, he has the Gedwëy ignasia, and it is on his right hand, as he touched his dragon with it. He also may be buff, but he is lean and swift. As for his hands, over the months with the Empire, they have become rugged and often are dirty.
Orion was born on the 23 of July. He was the eldest of the two children in his immediate family. The celebration of his birth was definitely celebrated between his two parents. They had miscarried 4 times, and were going to give up if they miscarried again. So they saw his birth as a miracle, and within the next year Domia was born. Already Orion and Domia had formed a huge bond together, even in their younger years, they weren't ever the siblings that fought all the time. Of course, they had playful rivalries, wanting to beat each other at everything, etc. By the time Orion was 9 and Domia was 8, they had gone to school, as their family was wealthy enough, and they had learned how to read and write somewhat. When Orion turned 10, his father took him out of school and had him work at home, assisting him in carpentry. Domia did the same when he was of age.
Eventually Orion got bored when he was 14 and ventured out into the city. He traveled places and did mischief like all teenagers did. It was often that you saw him running down the street from vendors with food in his pockets, stuffing it in his mouth. He and Domia would have competitions on how much they could take. On one day in the summer, one of the guards of the Empire caught Orion. Now Orion could make friends with a lot of people at that age, so he and the guard quickly became friends, though the guard was much older than him. You would find them often chatting and making fun of people. Little did his parents know that he was being friendly with a guard from the Empire. Domia never met him, Orion kept their friendship as a secret, for he feared if word got out they were friends, they both could be killed, and Orion never found out his name.
The guard taught Orion many things about fighting and skills. He helped Orion get into shape, his parents just assumed he was working out on his own. One day, the guard offered to take Orion out of the city on a trip, Orion told his parents he was going over to a friends, they believed him, and he was partially true. The guard led him out of the city and into the wilderness, where he had never been before, and taught him what he knew about pretty much everything. Well, at least as he was limited to over night, as if Orion was gone over 2 days, his parents would get suspicious. The guard also taught him a few words he had heard uttered before, they were ancient language words, and neither had any idea what they meant, they just thought it was a cool language.
A few more years later and Orion was 17, still competing with Domia, though mainly for women now, and the guard decided to take him back out again. Overnight they heard screaming in the city and smoke rising up. Quickly they rushed to the scene. There were a group of about 10 Varden soldiers, or so Orion thought, taking his family away. In fact, they were Empire soldiers, dressed up as Varden in order to deceive, which he still hasn't found out about. They accused them of hiding something, before killing them before his eyes and burning down his house. His life was pretty much destroyed in the hour he stood by, hidden, and watching. The guard just shrugged his shoulders and turned around, trying to lead him away.
Orion took his sword though, right from his sheath, and ran out of desperation at the soldiers. They simply tossed him aside, and left the city. The guard was rushing after him, telling him to leave. With his eyes in tears, Orion was so in pain that he swung and killed the guard by decapitation. That was when he killed his first man, and honestly, this made him in even more pain. So he ran, taking the sword from the dead guard, and he ran from his hometown into the wilderness, and thanks to the guard, he knew how to survive in the wild. Taking these skills, he headed north to who knows where, another city, some place he could live. He followed a stream as far as he could before he turned east for a few leagues.
On the same day his family had been killed he was hiking and noticed something at the top of a hill, it was dark and black, and it was lying in what looked like a shallow crater with nothing around it. Curious, he climbed to the top to see what it was, and it was a black stone, or so he thought. Since it was getting dark, he decided to camp right there, so he laid down next to the stone, which was really an egg, and slept. Through the night he heard shaking, and eventually a huge crack and then a shatter. Startled, he stood up and looked around, nothing was there that he could see. He hiked down both sides of the hill, nothing. When he came back up he noticed a baby dragon, curled up, looking straight at him. It was a jet black dragon with lightning yellow eyes. He reached down to pet it, which it didn't resist, and he touched it with his right hand. Thus the Gedwëy ignasia was imprinted on his hand, and he fell back in pain. There was so much pain, he fainted until morning. When he woke up the dragon was looking straight at him, curled up.
So he named it Kveykva or lightning, because of his startling eyes and how Orion was startled, he certainly wasn't expecting a baby dragon that day. So he went by for a month, living there with the dragon, and it got bigger everyday. He killed animals himself and the spot was near a stream enough. One day he spoke to him, and just like Eragon and Saphira, he was freaked out. He didn't run though. Orion managed to keep his composure and talk to it. Kveykva explained some things to him, mainly about dragons and their Riders, and how he was one now. Kveykva by now was big enough for Orion to sit on. Later that same day, the Empire's troops came marching through and noticed the duo standing there.
They seized them, or asked them to follow, and took them to Uru'Baen, where they spoke to Galbatorix. He made them swear a oath in the ancient language using the true name of it, And so it was that they were sworn into the Empire. So Galbatorix gave them Eldunarí and they grew stronger and stronger as the weeks went on. Within 2 months, he received his rider sword, which he named Rauthr or misfortune. By the time they had been Rider and dragon for a full year, they were already quadruple in strength than they were before, and Orion had started to notice the changes of human to elf.
During that year, Orion had learned much, he knew much of the ancient language, magic, how to fight amazingly well. Kveykva could breath fire, which was black, by now. Orion had learned much in the ways of the Empire, but he knew he hadn't learned all of it. He vowed to destroy the Varden though, and he had the drive to do just that. He wasn't the strongest Rider in the Empire certainly, but he planned to make a name for himself of it.
Dragon Bio
Kveykva is a jet black dragon with lightning yellow eyes. Most dragon's scales glitter in the sun, his do too, but it is very faint. When he casts shadows, they are very dark and ominous. As for his size, with the help of the Eldunarí, he was about the size of a house. His horns are a bright pale white that stand out. Not to mention they are all wicked sharp and very ominous. His wings are leathery and let little light shine through, they make for a great shady place. His claws and teeth are razor sharp and long. He may seem huge, but he can maneuver in any which way, giving him a leg up in battle.
Kveykva has a very threatening stare and can be stubborn. However, he is very commanding and leads Orion when need be. He assists in everything he possibly can and can actually be nice. He likes to be in control though, and he loves to fight, and sink his teeth into animal flesh. Along with this, he is a bit of a stuck up and likes to brag. Kveykva obeys Orion however and loves him. Orion doesn't control him and he doesn't control Orion, they work as a team to get things done and pitch in ideas as to not die. He also likes to see himself as a leader, as he is one of the bigger dragons. You could say he is good at flying and fighting. He can maneuver very well, and his weakness/strength is Orion himself. He will follow him through anything, and of course, often times, being the smart one. Like most dragons he is also very knowledgeable. Another one of his weaknesses is his dark scales, they stand out in the day time, but if it is by night, you can't see him pretty much at all. He and Orion have become a great team overall though.
I didn't realize there was an Eragon RPG out there! I've RPed for like 4 years now, always been looking for one that is active. Absolutely love the series. And if I forgot anything, tell me!
