Lord Rhethos of Silthrim (Father, Dead) Lady Sylivia (Mother)
Not-So-Brief History:
Colm grew up in the city of Silthrim. As the only son of an elf lord, his life was planned out from the moment he was born. Colm was trained in magic, swordsmanship, writing, reading, archery, horseback riding, etiquette, everything a lord would have to know, everything that would make him appear respectable. Colm hated the restrictions and rules placed on him, he resented the other Elves his age, because they had a far more freedoms. The average elf didn't have to sit in on meetings and state dinners. Colm just wanted to be norma, lear magic and fighting, and then be free, he didn't want to lead. Colm was given the name Argetauga for his uniquely silver eyes. Colm tried to run away several times in his childhood, but every time, somebody would find him, and by his eyes identify him, and bring him home.
Colm was young when the Rider War broke out, at that time he had an overly romanticized opinion of the riders, where he believed that the riders had a care free life, but with the war his last hope of escape was destroyed. Colm continued his studies until he was an adult, as an adult Colm left home, after telling his father he would return, when he was needed. Colm spent a long time wandering Du Weldenvarden though, like most of his race during the dark times, he didn't visit other lands. Five years ago Colm's father died. When Colm received his family ring, and the summons to return home, his fear of leadership and his love of traveling, got the better of him, and he fled. Colm fled Du Weldenvarden, and didn't look back. For once he truly felt free of his responsibilities.
After he left Du Weldenvarden Colm found himself in the city of Gil'ead. Colm lived among the humans for months. Over the months Colm became disgusted with the corruption, greed, and the terrible way the poor were treated, in Human society. From this disgust grew an idea, one that went against everything he'd been taught. But Colm wasn't in Du Weldenvarden anymore, he was in the Empire, a whole new world. Colm decided to use his skills to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Over the course of the past five years, Colm has wandered from town to town, protecting the poor, taking a little for himself, and earning a name for himself. Colm was the Red Shadow, a master thief with with quite the bounty on his head. The most precious thing Colm stole, was a green and red rider's sword named Nángoröth (Blasted) from a wealthy military leader. Some day soon, he will steal his dragon, Arrung's, egg.

Colm crouched on the steeply angled roof of the manor house. Below him he could see the lavish gardens, and the collection of facilities, his mark possessed. Commander Brigedeem, was the archetypical corrupt Fat Cat, the kind he detested. As the sun peaked over the horizon, the red shadow jumped down from his perch onto the roof, a sack filled to bursting with riches. Colm had stolen them hours earlier, but the thrill seeker in him had forced him to lie in wait until his theft was noticed. As the servants began to wake up and notice that so much was missing, Colm could hear their exclamations, as they ran out in search of the thief.
Colm, ran he was much faster than the human's, it was delightful watching the fat housekeeper chase after him, on her stubby little legs. As Colm jumped over the over the low wall, he muttered a quick invisibility spell, and the red shadow escaped once again.
The first stop on his way would be his keep. Deep in the sewers, Colm had found a small room free of sewage, in a secluded section, which served as the perfect place to hide out. Colm opened his bag to examined his spoils. Colm sorted through his goods, separating them into three piles. The first was stuff that could be given to the poor, without endangering them, the second pile was the stuff he could pawn without attracting suspicion, and lastly were the unique objects, which would take much more tact to dispose of. At the bottom of his take Colm found a long wooden box, he didn't know what was in it yet, but he had chosen this box as his prize. As Colm opened the box he found a sword inside, the sword was in a dark green scabbard. Colm took a sharp breath in as he examined his prize, it was unmistakably a rider's sword. As he examined the dark green and red blade, he read the name, Nángoröth (Blasted), it would be a fitting weapon for the red shadow.
