Elendrial pulled Fira to a halt.
So this was Dras-Leona. Hmm...Doesn't seem like a pleasant place to live.
Slowly she slid off her horse and pulled the reins towards the town's gate. Before she got to the gate, she confirmed that her hood was pulled down over her face. The last thing she needed was for anyone to find out who she was.
I must pretend to be a man. It may throw any followers off.
"Who goes there?"
It was the gate keeper. His voice was deep and gruff, so deep that it almost made her jump.
"I am just a traveler seeking shelter and a stable for my horse."
Elendrial made her voice sound deep like a man's.
"You may pass," replied the gate keeper replied. Slowly the gate creaked opened; the sound of the horse's hooves echoed of the side.
"The stable is on the left. Get directions from him to the inn." She jumped at the sound of hearing his voice again. It reminded her of someone she once knew.
Slowly she moved to the stable. Elendrial paid the man and moved off towards the inn. It would be nice to sit down and eat a good hot meal.
Even before she entered the building, she heard the sound of people's voices. Oh how good it feels to hear more than one person's voice.
The building seemed warm and welcoming, yet a feeling of fear came upon her. Quickly she shook it off and entered the inn.
Elendrial walked towards the counter of the inn's bar. The innkeeper was a little stubby man. His face was scared and he seemed to have a cold eeriness about him.
She stuttered as she spoke. "I would like a room for the night and a meal. Any food will do."
He turned and shouted to a man farther away. Elendrial scanned the room. The only empty seat was in the far corner of the room.
Perfect, I don't have to be with others.
She sat in her seat watching the crowd. How she longed for a companion; someone to talk to, to communicate with.
If only someone would talk to me, even if they just walk up and say hi.

Tristan dropped down from Icefyre, falling almost 20 feet to a rooftop. He landed with a soft thud and dropped into the tavern below. I am only going in for a quick drink,he said to Icefyre. Okay, but hurry, she said flying away, blending into the clear blue sky.
Tristan entered the tavern carefully, his hood drawn up. With his face shadowed no one could tell who, or what he was. This was an Empire infested place. Double checking all his mental and physical wards were in place, he sat down at the bar. "I'll have an ale," he said to the barman, tossing some coins on the counter. The barman brought the drink over quickly. He drank silently and let his eyes roll around the room. He spotted a drunken man vomiting over his food. He grimaced and looked away.
His eyes rested on a lone man sitting at a table. Even in this light he could see the man's face clearly. He jumped. That was a female elf! Icefyre stay near by! There may be trouble! He instantly probed the elf's mind, trying to avoid detection.

Elendrial jumped at the icy feeling that sent shivers down her spine; someone was probing her mind. Quickly, she put her guard up. How stupid of me to let my guard down. Slowly and cautiously Elendrial got up from her seat and moved toward the door. If I'm right the stranger should follow me, whoever it is. Just as she exited the inn, she noticed a strange man sitting at the bar looking right at her. I bet that's him
Cool, fresh air hit her face as she left the inn. It felt good to be outside again, but that good feeling didn't last for long. Elendrial moved to the side of the building and made her plan of ambush. When he comes out I'll grabb him and put my knife to his throat. That should make him tell me why he has been probing my mind.
She sat in the darkness and listened to the night sound around her, patiently waiting for her prey.

Tristan leaped to his feet. He set the mug down on the bar and headed for the door. The girl knew someone was probing her, she wouldn't have just gotten up. He realeses on of his wrist sheathes, letting a knife fall into his hand.
I am following her. he told Icefyre knowing she was following the whole thing. Carefull, you do not know who or what she is,she replied.
Tristan quickly walked out of the building.

Elendrial heard the door open. As soon as he stepped out a little ways, she would grab him.
She waited examining the man when he came out.
I can take him. No problem.
Truly she felt weak. No one was there any more. No one would protect her, or hold her close like her brother had once done. Now, she had to fight her own battle. A tear rolled down her cheek and she wiped it away with her sleeve.
He must not see that I am weak.
Quickly, she darted out from the side of the building and lunged at the man standing in front of the inn.

Tristan saw the motion from the corner of his eye. Instantly his elvin reflexes kicked in and he shifted his weight and streched his arm out. He grabbed her and wrapped his arm around her throat and kept his knife their. He stepped into the shadows of the walls. "Now what was the for?," Tristan asked,"I haven't done a single thing to you."
TRISTAN!!,Icefyre yelled across their connection,Can you go anywhere without getting in trouble?? Hey, she attackted me,Tristan said defensivly. Only because you are so god-d**ned curious! Tristan couldn't reply to that one. He closed off the link and returned his attention to the struggling girl in his hands.
((sorry if you think i am godmodding.))

((it's ok...I'm fine with that... )) Elendrial's first reaction of him shocked her. In his eyes she saw safety. No I can't think that way. I must fight it.Yet, she could not help think about how much he reminded her of her brother. His shape, eyes, and movements were very similar. She shook the thought off. "Let go of me!" She struggled to get free but his grip was tighter than she imagined. Elendrial swung her knife violently; every time trying to threat him , yet there was something in her that didn't have the strength to hurt him. Actually, she didn't have any strength at all. He was much stronger than she was. Finally, she surrendered to the arm around her neck. There was nothing she could do, so she broke down into tears. She was weak and he knew it; there was no hiding it. All her life she had lived a lie, a lie that she was strong. Now, that reality had set in, she realized her life was wasted. She had no purpose. Tears streamed down her face. Slowly she brought her sleeve up to her face and wiped away her tears.

Tristan was about to let her go but changed his mind. It could be a trap. "What are you doing here? Elves don't ussualy come all the way to Dras-Leona!" He ignored the fact that his sleeve was sopping wet.
The girl is crying!!,Tristan said incredoulsly.
Did you hurt her?,Icefyre asked sounding annoyed.
No, I haven't physically hurt her. I have a knife to her throat, but thats because she attacked me!
Until you can figure out her true intentions, don't let her go, we don't know what skills she might have up her sleeve.
Tristan agreed. It didn't make logical sense. What was another elf doing here? He pulled the knife closer to her throat. "I want to know what you are doing here,"he said harshly,"I hope you know the correct side of the war."

Elendrial stared into his eyes. Usually, she could tell people's thoughts and intentions by their eyes yet with him it was different. She could see nothing.
"I...I was umm...coming from...uhh Helgrind. My father..uh I am neutral. I don't have a side. Please let me go!"
She sounded like an innocent child, weak and unsure.
Elendrial looked up in the sky. Something was out there.
A dragon? No father helped kill them all. Unless... unless the story of the riders' return is true.
Once again she focused her attention to elf. And once again she begged to be let go.

Tristan realesed his grip on the girl. She fell to the ground. As fast as the elf he was he whipped out his blade and pointed it at her throat.
"I want your name,"he said harshly. Icefyre. Land low on that building across from me. She didn't even respond. Using the buidling as cover she came up on the building and landed softly not even making a sound. "What elf lives in Helgrind? Answer me honestly," he said keeping his sword pointed at her throat.

Elendrial's tears had dried by now, making her face sticky. She looked up at the elf with the sword at her throat. He didn't believe her. How could she make him?
"My name is Elendrial. I lived in Helgrind with my brother and father. My brother has gone and my father has died. I left Helgrind, searching for my brother. Please, you must believe me!"
She would not dare tell him who her father was in case he was a rider and sided with the varden. He would kill her instantly if he knew what her father had done.
Elendrial looked into his eyes. She could now see further into them. He wasn't afraid. There was some sort of bravery there, a hope and future formed there. What is his strength? Why does he not have reason to fear?
She sniffed the air and realized that there was a dragon there. The legends were true. A smile formed across her lips. There was a new feeling inside her, a hope that would heal her hurt. Yes this horrible hurting inside. If only someone could understand how she felt and the way she was treated while growing up. Elendrial knew she didn't no how to communicate much. A short conversation was all she could do. How she longed to learn though, to learn how to communicate.
As she came back to reality, she realized that the sword was still pointed at her throat. A strange feeling of fear came over her. She had felt fear as a child, but this, this fear was different and she wanted to know what it was. What made her feel like this. But first she had to convince this guy she truly meant no harm. She was scared of followers from the Empire coming after her to kill her. All she could think was. Is he one?

"You live in Helgrind?" Tristan asked disbelivingly. " What was your fathers name?" He lowered his sword slowly, assualting her mind at the same time. "Answer me soon or she'll attack you," he said to the silent girl, motioning at the roof behind Elendrial. Icefyre pounced off the roof and let out and intense roar. Windows shattered and people screamed. He heard several children start crying.
Damn it Icefyre! I didn't want everyone to hear you!,Tristan yelled,I just wanted her to see you!
Sorry, Icefyre said sheepisly, I thought you wanted me to scare her
The empire will be on us in seconds!,Tristan said. He could already hear the yells of soldiers.
He snapped forward and grabbed Elendrial. He leaped the 20 feet up to the roof and quickly hopped on Icefyre's back, pulling Elendrial up with him. He muttered in the ancient language and bound her in place.
Icefyre took off at full speed. She tuck her wings low and flew across the city like and arrow.

((I don't mind...im pretty open with that stuff... what an interesting turn i like it... )) Elendrial's heart was beating fast, faster than it had ever done before. How dare he pick me up and put me on his dragon! She was filled with fear and delight. She wanted to punch the elf sitting behind her, she wanted to get off. Yet, she knew that if she would most certainly fall to her death or close to it. "Where are you taking me?" Her voice was quivering. "Please land. Let me go. I was only protecting myself." Even though she wanted off, she held to the dragon for dear life. Tears formed in her eyes again. How she wished Sephiroth was here.

((OMG I am so SORRY!! My grandparents just came to town)) Icefyre sped up and the city melted away in a blur. They kept flying until Tristan could no longer here the angry yells of Empire soilders.
Icefyre pulled into a steep dive and raced towards the ground, hundreds of feet melted awat in a second and she pulled out just before collison. Tristan leaped off her and pulled Elendrial from Icefyre's back. He realesed the bonds on her. "I want your fathers name!"he said,"And any other relations. Do not lie, I will know!" If elvin history was true and this was who he suspected it was, he would be horrifyed. What the man did was vile and disgusting. Tristan didn't know what he would do with one of his kin.

ooc- I know how it is when people visit. Always busy. Sorry it has taken me a couple of days.
Elendrial fell to the ground with a thud. Her legs hurt and now her back was aching.
What did I do to deserve this? She answered his question with fear:
“My father’s name- his name was Drone. My brother’s name is Sephiroth.”
Elendrial looked at the elf with helpless eyes.
“Please spare me. I am not like my father, I do not have the blood of an innocent victim on my hands. You must believe me, for my brother and I were victims of Drone’s cruelty.”
She cringed at the thought of living with her father. If only the elf could understand what she had gone through. The cloak she wears, is not just to hide who she is, but to hide the scars and wounds she has from Drone. Some of the wounds still have not healed, even though she has tried to heal them with magic. It would take someone stronger than her to do it. She was weakening. These wounds weakened her body, slowly killing her. If only the elf could see it.
Could he? Tears flowed down her cheeks as she wait for an answer.

Tristan took a step back, thunderstruck. This girls father had committed such horrors. It was painfull just to think about. "Why are you here? Where is your father?" Tristan asked. Icefyre this girls father murdered dragons! Don't punish the girl for the mistakes of her father. She was raised by him. What else can she be if she was raised by someone so vile! I don't know Tristan. Just keep your mind open. He noticed a long deep cut streching down the legnth of leg. "Where did you get that from? Did Drone do that to you?"

Elendrial looked down at the horrid scar on her leg and quickly pulled her cloak down to cover it. She was ashamed of it, as if it was her fault.
"Yes, he did, along with many other scars, both inside and out."
She looked deep into his eyes.
"I am here...I am here because I have no where else to go. My father is dead, he died from the blade of a traitor. I serve neither the Varden nor Galbatorix. Please do not kill me for the mistakes of my father. I do think he was a good man, and had a deep sense of regret within him. But I do not agree with what he did. At least I don't think I do. I don't know. I'm so confused! Should I follow the man that raised me, or should I follow the murderer that killed my father."
She had gained confidence, yet she was still weakening. Her voice seemed to tremble and her movements were slow. Elendrial called out to the elf's dragon. Of course she knew it was wrong, but perhaps the dragon would believe her.
Skulblaka, eka celobra ono un mulabra ono un onr Shur'tugal ne haina. (Dragon, I honor you and mean you and your rider no harm.) Please you must persuade him that I mean no harm.
