rider of Sephora | varden rider Caspian nodded and tried to take Anurin's words into consideration. He was a bit overwhelmed by everything though. He grew frustrated never landing a blow on the elf, but he hadn't exactly expected to in the first place. As their spar went on he grew more tired and his blows less accurate as Naegling felt heavier in his hands. He went ridged as the cold metal of Andlat touched his throat and he let his own sword's tip drop to the ground though he still held the hilt. Once Anurin sheathed his sword and turned to bathe, Caspian simply sat down where he was and leaned against a pile of rocks. He looked totally exhausted and was to weary to unblunt his own sword and he didn't want to go bathe. Every muscle in his body ached. Sephora did better than Caspian learning quickly but her weakness was soon revealed when Vanilor asked her of battle techniques. She was not very good at facing other dragons and got nearly all the questions wrong regarding it. She grew tired from practicing the battle moves and had not done well on them, failing more times than not. When they landed she sank her claws into the ground in frustration of not having done as well as she had hoped.
Caspian smiled feeling her frustration. He didn't dare say anything to her though or least he insult her pride and earn her contempt. Caspian had closed his eyes, but opened them when the large dragon spoke to him. "What? How should I know?" he said. He had not paid attention at all to Sephora's lessons.
Sephora glanced at Anurin, surprised by the question but unlike Caspian she had been paying attention at least near the beginning. " The Rimgar, or the Dance of Snake and Crane, is a series of poses that the elves use to prepare their warriors for battle or just to stay in shape. There are four different levels based on flexibility and strength," she said sounding certain. Caspian looked at her incredulously. "And how did you know that?!" he said.
Sephora chuckled. "I was paying attention,"
[/b] she said. [/blockquote] [/blockquote]

Vanilor shook his head in disappointment at Caspian's not knowing."Now how do you wish for us to train you whilst you don't even keep your minds connected? From now on you two are to keep your minds connected and listen carefully to the both of us. Understood?"[/I] he told both Caspian and Sephora. Anurin nodded approvingly at Sephora. "Now we shall all have a rezt. You have both done well." he said entering his hut.
Vanilor nudged Sephora and gave her an extra rabbit for Caspian. He himself went to take a nap. The ground shaking as he dropped his weight on the ground and closed his eyes.

rider of Sephora | varden rider Caspian hung his head slightly not like being told off by the dragon. How had Sephora paid attention and he hadn't. He knew they hadn't been connected all the time but they'd try tomorrow. It sounded hard listening to two lessons at once.
Sephora seemed pleased by Anurin's approval. She didn't want to admit it but she hadn't always been paying attention to her rider, only at the beginning when the dance of the moon and crane had been going on.
Caspian followed him into the hut. He hurt everywhere. The spar had taken a toll on him, let alone remembering everything he had been taught. "Anurin?" he asked. "Um I do appreciate your training but would it be okay if I returned to the Varden tomorrow? I'll be back, I just need to get my horse, Destier," he said. His horse meant everything to him and while he had Sephora he liked to spend a good deal of time with Destier as well. the horse had shown amazing loyalty to him and he wasn't about to leave his best friend behind.
Sephora charred the rabbit wih her fire and gave it to Caspian through a window. He accepted it and while he didn't look happy about the blackened outside of it he didn't complain. Inside it wasn't burnt and tasted pretty good.
The golden dragon took to the skies and flew off into the distance. She didn't explain where she was going she just left. It was a given that she'd be back though.

Anurin waited a little before answering Caspian's question. He took a breath and sighed."You may go back to retrieve your loyal horse. But once you receive him, come back like the wind. We have naught the time to train you fully with every detail, so we shall pack that all into a few months. By the end of our training, you shall no longer be a burden, no longer a boy. You shall become a man, fit and ready for war. And Sephora by then will be dancing in the skies." he informed Caspian, but also raising his voice so that Sephora could hear.
Vanilor watched his apprentice with curiosity as she took to the skies, without telling anyone where she was going. He did not fear for her too much. She had displayed her skills and her talent at picking up on lessons rather quickly. Though he was a little concerned about her battle skills. He set himself next to the hut and began resting. Ah, that was much better.
(I'm sorry for the length/quality of the post, I posted in a real hurry)

rider of Sephora | varden rider (that's alright.) "Thank you," Caspian said. "My horse means a lot to me. And I sure hope your words will be true. I do not want to be a burden to the Varden," he said. Sephora didn't come back until early the next morning when she returned to give Caspian a ride back to the Varden. Once there Caspian quickly found his horse. He packed a few things from his tent and left a message so they would know where to find him. Then he got on his horse and flicked the reins until Destier was in a trot. It was mid morning by the time he got back. The black horse seemed good natured. He simply nickered nervously when he saw Vanilor but did not bolt. Caspian ran a line between two trees so Destier could eat and move between them. "Anurin, I'm back," he called.
Sephora was getting a drink of out the near by stream and looked up, water dripping from her mouth when she heard Caspian call out. She knew they be training again soon. She walked back to the hut and Desteir neighed to her in greeting as though she were merely another horse he knew. Sephora smiled seeing the animal her rider was so found of.
