OOC: So people as you can see, this is the next part of the story. Ready? If you aren't, then oh well.
It had taken 16 days. 16 days of sore feet, no energy, and many interesting conversations with Ardocc and Nola. Even Zark talked sometimes. Torin was surprised, Ardocc and Nola held some of the same view points. Zark and Nola had been practicing diligently and sometimes Torin even tried some of the stuff with them. But after the 16 days, they had arrived in Illium. All they could see were trees. Trees, trees, trees, and more freaking trees. But fortuantly Torin rememered that his clients manor was in the middle of the island, so that meant walking some more. Torin collasped after a hard day of walking, and looked over to Ardocc to see how he was doing.

Ardocc saw the look on Torin's face and raised his eyebrows at him. He sighed and leaned on a tree. Then he took out a few arrows he was making and started sharpening the metal points. The arrows were long and sturdy, he had been making them over the past few days. Especially on the trip to the island. He figured that he could get Zark to poison the ends or something.
"So whats the plan for when we reach the mansion? And I forgot what we were doing again." He grinned his boyish smile and rubbed his chin that was getting scruffy.

"Well first of off old man, you need to shave. You are starting to look like an Urgal."
Torin grinned.
"My intial plan was to scout the perimeter of the manor, and send Nola in as a mercenary wanting a job. She will scout the inside looking for the master bedroom, and anything of interest. She will tell us what she saw, and we will make our plan from there. Worst case scenario, we will have to kill everyone their. At least everyone who gets in our way."
Torin paused and wiped off some sweat off of his fore head.
"Oh yeah, we need to restore on some pickles. I ran out last night."
Torin laughed.
"So what do you think?"

Ardocc had grown over the time they had been together. When Torin finished and asked what Ardocc thought, Ardocc absentmindedly was playing with his hair and looked like he was thinking deeply. Except not on what he had said.
He pulled his knees up to his chest and sat like that and said, " I guess it sounds good man. We been together on a job like this." He smile wryly and winked.
(Sits like L.... heh heh)

Zark listened to the plan, tired from the constant walking that he had to put up with but he managed to teach Nola quite a bit of magic. Her endurance had also improved. Now she could do many more than one spell before collapsing down in exaustion. The plan that Torin had come up with was interesting. "I think that plan isn't at all bad, but I think that we will need someone to go in and help her scout. Surbus can do that easily enough. He just needs to look like a normal kitten."

Nola gave a small nod at the plan and gave her bright grin when he mentioned her going in as a mercernary. "Aye, sounds like a great idea to me. It be nice to have Surbus along as well."
Magic was a great thing. She knew so little and now she felt like she was more powerful. Even if she wasnt as great as Zark she knew some things he did not. As least she thought so. She was proud that she was not well in the subject.
Nola would have to admit she liked her time with Zark. Not like anything in that manner. Or so she hoped. Her being a red head she was very likely to blush more then most women but kept herself from doing so. It was gettiong harder each time which confused her.

Zark glanced at Nola and gave her a smile and said, "Perfect. Surbus will keep you safe, and if worse comes to worse then you use the magic you have learned. Your proficiency in magic will be more than enough if the need arises." In the back of his thoughts a voice asked, What are you doing? Why did you just give her a smile? And why did you give her a compliment? Zark shrugged the thoughts way. I am being nice, I am giving her a encouraging smile, and I am telling the truth, He thought in response but that didn't make the thoughts go away.
Surbus jumped out from Zark's pocket and shouted in everyone's mind, AN ADVENTURE?!?!? WHERE!?!? WHOOT! Then he landed at Nola's feet after jumping 5 feet into the air. This is gonna be fun! We could pretend to be spies or maybe ninjas! WHOOT! Obviously he seemed eager for the plan. Even as he shouted out in his mind he began to change into a normal kitten, completely black fur and yellow eyes. Then he meowed normally for the first time without an echo or anything added in like a snake. Was that good?

Torin was amazed. If Surbus could hold the cat form, the plan would go according to plan.
"That's perfect Surbus. And yes you will be a spy and a ninja. Lucky you. But when you are with Nola, you will be a spy. I want you to listen real carefully to me now. Act like a normal cat, and walk around the manor. Memorize everything you see. How many people are there, What kind of defenses do they have. How many rooms, and the occupants of those rooms. Once you return, you will start your work as a ninja."

Nola had to give a small giggle in the account of Surbus. Once she heard his small meow and watched him meow she had to say he was the cutest kitten she had ever seen. In a quick instand she had him in her arms and was petting the black cat version of Surbus.
After that, her eyes went to Zark and returned his smile."Oh yes, Ill have a few things up my sleeves if any trouble happens." Then with a small nod she turned to Torin."So, when do we start?"

Ninjas? Spies? What are they talking about?
For once since they started Ardocc finally felt older than the others. He knew it was only by a few years, or almost 10 with Torin. But he didn't get the jokes that were swirling around. He remembered when he was young, the fun he had. So he decided to let them have their fun whenever they wanted. So now like many times on the journey he sat and smiled. But what he was really contemplating was what Nola was going to say to the owner of the house. People don't normally get visited by door-to-door mercenaries.
"Want me to go along? My bow can reach any watchmen?"

Zark looked at Ardocc and said, "No, sorry but she needs to go in alone. This is not an assault. Nola and Surbus will simply scouting the manor. There will be no need for bloodshed as of now if everything goes well." Then he leaned against the tree and said, "If we need to add anything else to this, its a link and that alone is overdoing it. Nola and Surbus will make an effective team. Certainly you don't doubt their effectiveness."
Surbus purred away like a normal kitten, his yellow eyes almost closed till he changed back and then managed to climb up Nola's arm and perched on her shoulder easily. I'll be able to resume the form when it is needed, and I'll be able to spy on them unless they have dogs or a rule against cats or pets in general. Then he jumped onto the ground and resumed the form again, meowing as he rubbed against Nola's leg.

"I meant when Torin scouts out the manor, I don't feel the need to be with Nola as much as anyone else." He said directed at Zark with an air of 'you wanna be with her more' understood.
Ardocc had been seeing the development with the relationship of everyone. He had no reason to be jealous, he has a future wife at home. He did in fact like watching the others interact with eachother. It amused him to see Zark be like a normal person.

Torin could figure out what Ardocc had meant. Zark and Nola had gotten a good relationship. Torin was slightly jelous, but only because he had no one who cared about him anymore.
"Ok then Nola and Surbus. I want you two to go right away. Zark and Ardocc, you guys can rest up while I scout the perimeter of the manor."
Torin headed off. HE went through the trees and eventually found the manor. Four guards were guarding the door, which looked really reinforced. Torin walked for five minutes around the manor, spotting a few windows, but they were too close to the guards, so Torin couldn't use them. He found a guard, but unfortuantly the guard spotted him.
"What do you think you are doing out here servant?"
The guard looked very intimidating, but Torin knew he could take him. He let the guard be, for he didn't want the mission comprimised. He immediatly put on a servant-like voice, one that sounded like he could be intimidated and that he thought he was inferior.
"Oh I am so sorry sir. I was just walking around the manor, getting some fresh air. Please don't get me in trouble. I am begging you."
The guard bought it, but unfortuantly, there were some side affects.
"How dare you beg to me you sniveling brat!"
The guard punched Torin in the face, and Torin went sprawling. The guard picked up Torin and put a dagger to his neck.
"You are going straight to the Marquis. He will definatly punish you the way you are supposed to be punished. If you are lucky, he will send you to the dungeon."
The guard dragged Torin by his cloak and went right inside. Torin took aware of everything he saw. Another guard stopped the first guard.
"What are you doing with this servant Cliven?"
The Second Guard asked.
"Well Lipen. I was just taken him to the marquis. I caught him off of duty."
Cliven responded.
"Oh I see. Let me take him off of your hands. The marquis shouldn't bother himself with just a simple servant."
Lipen took Torin away and walked him to the servants room.
"Oh thank you sir. I greatly appreciate it."
Torin was sincerely grateful. If the Marquis, his former client, saw him, the whole plan would be ruined. Lupin left Torin and Torin wandered out of the room and ran right into Nola.
OOC: About that last sentence, I was just hoping you actually came into the manor.

Dondir and Dwandit set up a fire in a clearing some 40 meters from the shore, that is where they will be camped. Dondir started chopping some fruits. The climate out was too warm for warm food just yet. So he cut some fruits and vegatables and served the crude salad.
Dwandir figured that he and Dondir could stand outside the mansion while the others infultrated. Speed, flexibily and agility are not stealthy atributes that dwarves have. So they would be a look-out of sorts.
Dondir grew bored and approached Ardocc, " Why not give your a bow a work out. I saw boar tracks when I was off getting firewood, and I have heard that boar is exeptionally delicious. And I bet Fanushel could support both our weight on him, he is a great pack pony."

Dondir had asked Ardocc to go hunt, which he could not pass up. "Sure, lets go."
So he and the dwarf got on the pony and rode off into the forest on a slim trail. They were out for a few hours and the winds began to pick up. This drowned out the footsteps of anything around in the noise of the rustling wind. They continued riding up the trail, it was growing steep and they were getting higher up on the island. They rode for long until they saw a boar waddling through the brush. He was massive, at least 100 pounds and with over foot long tusks. Ardocc told Dondir to urge Fanushel forward so he could get a good clean shot. So they crept closer, but the unsuspecting boar walked through a large amount of growth.. Ardocc and Dondir dismounted and tried to creep to the tall grass. As they parted and peered through the growth another boar, the mate of the first came onto the trail. It saw Ardocc and Dondir and went wild. It was almost twice the size of the last. It charged with its razor tusks straight at Ardocc.
Ardocc and Dondir peered through the brush to come across to their amazement a very large cliff. It was high up and the ocean was surging below. The concluded that the boar they were tracking had to of taken a sharp turn and continued down the trail. But as Ardocc turned around to check the trail a sharp tusk jammed itself into the side of his leg.
He yelled out in pain as he tumbled over, and grabbed Dondir's arm, But the force of the boar sent him sprawling off the cliff to the ocean surge below.
They landed in the churning pool of foamy water. It was a natural harbor and with the winds swirling it made a hellish vortex. Ardocc had a vice grip on Dondir's arm and wasn't letting go. They kept getting sucked in and out with the undertow. The islands were notorious for crazy water patterns in between them and they were caught in a swift current pulling them from their island.

As soon as Torin gave the thumbs up Nola was off with Surbus at her side. Her mind could not even think of what the men were thinking about. It wasnt a concern of hers anyway. She was going to help them and then take her leave. Nothing could change that from her mind now. Nola had learned what she wanted and she had to make her way to the captial sooner or later. It be best for her if it was sooner.
It did not take long for the young women to make it to the manor. They were indeed in need of more guards. Many it had but more it could always use. Nola had to just convince them and that was just the easy part. She had acess to the manor but had a slave as a guide with her. These people were no fools. Next thing Nola knew she was face to face with Torin.

"Oh, I am so sorry miss. Please don't do anything. I am already in enough trouble."
Torin only said this because there might be some guards around and he didn't want to blow his cover. He looked at Nola in way that meant don't say anything that will blow their cover.
"Maybe I will see you again, at a camping trip or something. You never know what life will bring you to."
Torin ran down the hallway, and ran into a room. He immediatley saw a window and jumped out of it. Lucky for him, it was only on the first floor. Torin hit the ground rolling. He got up after a second, and after he brushed away the slight pain, and ran to the direction he thought the camp was. He kept running until he came to a cliff, which was real high up. He looked around and saw something that was really unexpected, The dagger that Torin gave to Ardocc. That was bad. He looked around screaming "ARDOCC!!!" He heard something and looked down the ciff. There was Ardocc and the one dwarf. Torin reacted accordingly. He grabbed the dagger, grabbed some rope, and tied the rope around his waist. He stuck the rope in between the dagger and the ground for an anchoring point and dived off the cliff. A huge splash and Torin's mind started to freak out. Memories of the time by the river started to go through his brain. But to save one of his only friends, he pushed past those thoughts and grabbed Ardocc and the Dwarf, who bothed seemed unconscious. Torin had never felt this strong before. He slung the Dwarf over his shoulder and tied together Ardoccs hands and put his hands over Torin's neck. Torin started the ascent and in 20 minutes, He was at the top. Torin whispered some words, and the water from both Ardocc and the Dwarf's Lungs came out of their mouths. They were saved.

Zark remained looking at the manor from his tree, using magic to listen and spy on the guards. As Ardocc and the dwarfs went off to hunt, Zarks imply said, "Be back within three hours or I'll have to come looking for you. And don't cause trouble." Then he continued his work, observing and practicing the magic that he had.
Surbus seemed like any other kitten. Calm, laid back, demanding attention from Nola. Inside his mind, he was completely energetic, always talking to Nola about how cool the mission was and the secrets that everyone in the manor could have. This is awesome! I wonder if the servants steal some of the food from the lord or what kind of habits the lord of the manor. Maybe he picks his noise while no one is looking. Just as he was done with that thought Torin popped up. Torin? What are-? Then Torin began to talk in rubbish, making Surbus' attention draw away like any cat. He jumped off Nola's shoulder and rubbed against the slave girl's leg, purring away.

OCC: That post was odd....*points at Torin*
Nola gave a small sigh and put her hands on her hips. It was easy to tell what Torin was doing and his acting wasnt the best she had seen. If the young slave girl who was to be her guide was not paying more attention to Surbus it could have blown everything.
Yes, this is very exciting. SHe gave a small grin at the thought. You are doing very well acting like a kitten as well, if I might add.
Once her eyes and ears left Torin he was gone. She would have to ask him about this later. The young guide was petting Surbus and gave a small giggle as he purred to her. She could not be much older then 10. "Let's continue our tour. Shall we?"

Surbus barely looked at Nola when he said, Thank you, I can be as cute as I am smart when I want to be. This girl is also a nice one. A pity that she is a slave. He gave a sad mental sigh, but didn't show his despair as he purred at the girl. She can be so pretty if she wasn't afraid.
She scratched Surbus' ear before saying, "Huh? Wha? Oh right! Please don't tell my master! He doesn't like me slacking off! Please! Its just that your kitty is so cute and he just seemed to want to be pet and-and..." She was on the verge of tears.
