She stumbled back deeper into the pool, laughing. She pulled him closer and said, "We're not going to get much washing done, are we?" laughing she kissed him. When she pulled a way she whispered a few words in the ancient language. Her body seemed to tighten; and there, was the body of the same woman, she didnt looked younger; just better.

Her olive skinned body was covered in little dots of water that glistened in the faint light that fell through the tree's that overshadowed the pool. Experimenting, she dived under water and opened her eyes. The pool was surprisingly deep. So deep in fact that she doubted she would be able to touch the floor in the most central part. Ardocc would, he was quite a lot taller than her. She swam to the central point of the pool, and surfaced, looking around she searched for Ardocc. She sent her mind outwards and found him, laughing she ducked back under the surface.

He loved to see her smile, when he'd met her she seemed so serious that he couldn't relate, but now he could see the real her. "If you must." He said dramatically and fell backwards into the pool smiling. He had always had the ability to hold his breath longer than most. It's what he thought was his only quality really. He swam towards the bottom and looked up through the surface at the shining and bright world beyond him.

He swam a bit and then surfaced looking around just in time to see her go back under. He grinned as he went back under and swam to where he thought she'd be. He blinked as the spring water flowed past his eyes and hair. He made his way over to her and when he reached her he smiled under water, thinking that probably looked quite odd he stopped any face she would make at him by kissing her under the clear waters.

she felt his body against hers, and she could feel every tiny goose bump on his skin, even though they were underwater. He kissed her and she felt his warm lips meet hers. Smiling she moved her arm around his back, fiddling with his long hair that was mesmerising in the water. They both looked unnaturally pale, even though the sunlight filtered through the clear water. She pulled his body tightly towards hers, and kicked to the surface, she was almost out of breath.

She took her lips away from his warm lips, and took a deep breath, then took his lips again, they felt like they were meant to be there, with her own. And their bodies, they matched each others so perfectly. Hers was slender and strong whereas his was lean and muscly. They fitted each others hollows perfectly.

He had never kissed anyone in the water before. He found the sensation of her warm body in the cold water quite exciting and wrapped his arms around her to keep them from floating apart. He reveled in her lips against his, fitting as perfectly as her body fit against his. She soon began kicking to the surface and he followed. He brushed the hair from her face after they surfaced and he looked into her deep eyes before returning to their kissing.

He had goosebumps, not sure if they were from the water, or from her, he pulled her closer. The feel of her skin against his sent a different shiver up him. He then remembered what they'd talked about before, and after taking a breath he looked at her and asked, "So are we secluded enough to talk now?"

[Elina]

"So are we secluded enough to talk now?" He said. Elina was so thrown off by the words that she forgot about the love making and went cold. Pushing him away, she kicked to the edge of the pool, pushed her head under water and ran her fingers through her hair, dislodging any dirt. She then ran her hands over her face, stomach and more private areas before reaching for her clothes which floated nearby. Well, this guy was suave. He knew how to turn her emotions off as if with a switch. She dragged the heavy clothes from the water and went about drying them. When they were dry, she pulled on the clothes, underwear first. Taking her sword she found some charcoal and coated the ruby in it, at first it didnt take, but after whispering a few words it stayed. She didnt want to rough the scabbard up so she left it there. She could pretend that her father was a merchant and had found the sword among several interesting items he had discovered in a collection he had inherited. He was from the empire but had recently died and she had inherited the sword. What a convincing story. She would enter the city as a different person. Storming off she decided to enter the city unnoticed, as herself.

She turned, her fury not wavering, hissing through her teeth "Dont you understand? You could ruin my cover. There are people here that could read your mind, or are you stupid like all the other half wits that..." She said no more, and with that, she turned and left in the direction of the city.

Ardocc meant nothing but small talk as he began running water through his hair when she swam off without a word. He noticed a change in her mood and silently washed himself as he let her do her own thing. He cast a glance over her direction every now and then, never getting a look in return. He had blank expression on his face as he pondered his last mistake.

He stayed in the deep part of the pool and watched her as she disguised her weapon. He studied the ways he acted and what she did. He noticed she didn't disguise herself this time and he thought, Wow imagine the looks I'd get if people saw me with her.. but before he could finish his thought she said what she must have been thinking since he brought it up.

He raised an eyebrow and said without shouting as she walked off, "Well you could fix that I bet.." he sighed then he dropped himself down into the water so that he wouldn't have to see the woman he'd been falling for since he'd first seen the real her, walk away from him without wanting to be with him. As he sunk to the bottom he thought back to the only magician he had ever known, and that he'd traveled with months ago. He remembered him mentioning the mind reading abilities and the mind blocking abilities.

He surfaced after a while and looked around, seeing his wet clothes he cursed and went over to put them on. He also realized that he had forgotten to bring his bow, she distracted him so much. He decided he would return to his room, hoping she would be there within the day before he had to go to meet with his employer.

Her insticts started kicking in as she reached the gates. Pulling her hood over her head as she reached the gates. The guards were busy looking stiff and somewhat military, and she pulled her hood down more, giving her face a little shade. Letting people see her face would draw attention to herself, but even more so with her hood fully erect on such a beautiful day.
"Whats your business here, madam?!" The man said, obviously noting the clearly attractive face with a jaunty grin. Cringing to herself, she muttered shyly, "A family bereavement... I seek the Varden"
"Ofcourse mi'lady, would you like a ... personal escort?" He said, winking.
"Ahh, no. I am an old acquaintance... I know where to go." She let a smile flash across her face and pulled a stray lock of hair behind her ear shily.
"Ahh well, it was worth a try." the guards grimy eyelid flickered shut and open quickly, which was meant to be a wink. She flinched and asked if she could pass. He ofcourse accepted and tapped her buttocks as she walked past. She flinched again and stole a shy glance towards him.

Wandering through the streets she wondered where to go first. Raylborn resided in the castle, that was probably the best place to check out first. She found her way back to Ardocc's apartment, she opened the door with magic and entered the little house.

As he traveled back to town he thought of her the whole time. She was all he ever thought about now. Ever since he met her she'd plagued his mind. She was the biggest mystery that he wanted to solve. She was something that seemed so close to him, yet he knew nothing about. Even though I had asked a simple question, she still seemed to get angry at me.. and I even feel...guilty?! he thought. How does that work?

He spent the rest of the way there quite deep in thought and even didn't notice when the guard told him to halt. Actually he didn't even notice there was a guard until his weapon was by Ardocc's throat and he finally realized he was shouting 'Halt!' at him. So he backed up from the guard's weapon and looked at him blankly.

"What business do you have within the city?" The guard questioned him. Ardocc's response was short, "I live here, and work here." then he added, "Possibly longer than you even." Noticing how shining his boots and armor were. The gate guard looked furious at what he implied gave him a distorted face, though he stood aside. "I do recognize you, but if you ask me this place is being overrun by men. We need more girls." Ardocc simply smiled a bit and shrugged.

He hated people that acted like imbeciles. There were too many of those in this city. Ardocc shuffled throughout the alleyways and he finally found himself outside of his apartment building. He shuffled up those stairs, floorboards creaking and the dust curling up along his feet as he stepped. He made it down the hall and was about to put the key in the lock when he heard noise inside and turned the knob to find it was quite unlocked. He raised an eyebrow and walked in to find Elina in his room.

He smiled when he saw her, but then it turned into a half smile as he realized that she was angry at him, or something. He looked at her for as little bit. He didn't know whether to say sorry, or what to say at all. So he simply looked at her without a word.

[Elina]

She heard the floorboards creek and a dry rustle and sensed Ardocc behind her. She sighed, gathering the last of her belongings she didnt turn to face him - just sigh - she knew what he wanted to ask her, but was thankful that he didnt say anything. She felt guilty. Which she shouldn't have; she never felt guilty. But she didnt understand why he couldnt understand that she just couldn't tell him. She wished she could; but she couldnt. And she couldn't be around him if he was going to ask her about it whenever they became intimate.

Picking the saddlebags up, she finally turned, her shoulders sagged and she told him,
"Look. I cant teach you how to shield your mind; it took me six months to learn. I wish i could tell you, but to be honest, you wouldn't like what i was here to do. So please - just forget it - or i will leave. Now - will you take me to The Varden?"

[Ardocc & Mani]

He watched her as she packed. She's leaving.. and I'll never see her again. He thought as he leaned against the doorframe and crossed his arms. He listened t what she said and realized that she thought he wanted to know how. Actually, he never wanted to learn, he'd even declined Zark when he wanted to teach him. Ardocc knew that asking her about it at that moment was pretty much a moodkiller, and he wasn't really the suavest person at times.

Or she will leave? That means she's not going to.. He thought as he listened to her. Then he answered, "I know I know, I realize that you have things I shouldn't know. As soon as I figured out that I was to receive you I knew that something was up. Also believe me I don't want to learn how to block my mind. I just think that it will hurt our re-.. well whatever we are.. with all the secrets." He had a blank look on his face as he explained what he felt. Sometimes he thought too much, other times - like before - he didn't think at all.

"I will take you to the Varden if that's where you need to go." He said solemnly turning around and standing in the doorway waiting for her.

[Elina]

She could tell what he was thinking. He wanted her to stay and so did she. She fell silent and bent down to put her things down, laying them gently on the floor, kicking up the fine dust. She thought of all the things they had done together, and all the things they didnt know about him, and of all the things he didnt know about her, and then it suddenly dawned on her, she loved him. The barriers she had used to protect herself all those years, suddenly fell down around her and she fell to he floor, and tears rolled from her eyes. Then the barriers rose again, and she wiped away the tears. "sorry, momentary weakness..." she smiled nervously.

She felt like she needed a hug, and stood up and ran lightly, her feet dancing off the floor. She reached Ardocc, and threw her arms around him, inhaling his warmth, and his freshly cleaned smell. She knew she wanted to stay with him, during the mission maybe, but after... well, after she didnt know. She ran her hands through his shaggy hair and pulled him towards her, turning his head she kissed him softly, his lips were so warm and soft. She loved being here.

[Ardocc & Mani]

Ardocc stared at her until she finally set down her things again and he was relieved. He still stood though as he watched her standing and contemplating something that he wished he knew. Something inside the mind of the perfect woman that stood before him. Then without warning he saw her eyes well up and she fell to the ground. Though it was a sign of weakness, she was still able to pull it off with finess like every other action he saw her do.

He froze as he saw her display such emotion, he didn't know what to do, but almost as soon as she had she had gathered herself again and told him it was but a moment of weakness with a smile that made him smile.

She instantly jumped up and used her usual grace while moving towards him. Her arms went around him and she began kissing him. He put his arms around her also, pulling her tight to him, so close that the warmth their bodies shared was felt. He kissed her harder and moved further into the room, closing the door behind him with his foot gently.

He never wanted to think of why she was here, or what she had to do again. He knew what she did would only take her away and he did not posses the skills needed to do what she did, whatever it may be.He navigated her towards the bed and leaned her over the edge so that her legs were on either side of him and he continued kissing her passionately. He leaned forward so that she would rest down on the bed and he leaned against her still more gently as his hands caressed her frame.

[Elina]

Elina pulled away from him for a second and quickly stepped out of her clothes. She kissed him gently and started to gently remove his. His callused hands moved over her smooth skin, and her body tingled where he touched her and she kissed him passionately. Admittedly, he wasn't so suave at times, but he knew how to touch her.

A long time later, Elina finally reached her climax, and pleasure burst through her limbs, leaving her breathless and gasping. She kissed him, and then extricated herself from Ardocc. Dragging on her clothes, she cleansed her body of the days exertions, and wondered over to Ardocc, and pulled him off the bed.
"Come on! Get your clothes on! We've got to go." She brushed her lips against his and strapped the scabbard to her slim waist. She eyed him as he got changed, noting how good he looked even after the long exercise they had had.

He knew he wasn't so smart about the way he went about things when she was around, but Ardocc tried to forget everything he kept wondering about her and her employment while he touched her body and expressed how he felt.

As he pulled his clothes back on slowly he smiled when he caught her eye watching him. As soon as he was partly dressed he lazily fell back on the bed and took her hand, "Why in such a hurry? We'd already be late enough considering we were to leave long before now." He grinned at her and pulled her arm bringing her closer, moving the hair from her eyes he kissed her on the lips again. He couldn't get enough of her ever.

Her eyes twinkled sadly as she watched him, he was so beautiful.
But so was she, and Elina knew that she couldnt ever be good enough for him. She was a heartless monster.

Better to make good her escape now, and to hide from the world. Galbatorix, anyone.
She would protect herself, then run.

She kissed him quickly, deeply, passionately pressing her body to his, and pushed him away from her. She sent a quick blast of magic in his direction, it would incapacitate him long enough for her to get away.

Gathering her belongings, she ran from the door. She threw away her cloak, magical pretense, everything anything. She was who she was. Evil, bitter and twisted. She didnt look back, her beautiful face contorted in a pained expression.

She stared around her, and watched the people stare. She ran as far as she could, her bag slung over her back. She came to the market place, and hurriedly bought the fastest horse there, along with full tack. Her smile faultered as she looked back. There was no sign of ardocc. She almost wished he would follow her, to tell her he loved her too.

But then she turned, and galloped off into the sunset, the sun burning her eyes.
She wondered then where to go.

Then it came to her, and she was gone, a black silhouette against the sky.
