Next morning, birds chirping outside her window immediately aowke the Imperial Officer, and sitting up in the bed, she glanced at her left hand, to see the scar already consideably better. Raising her eyebrow, she just brushed it off, and not thinking, she reached out for the paperbag beside her table and popped the few morsels available before reaching for her sword, strapping it on her waist, she tied up her hair and stalked out, flinging the boys room open. "Maru, Solen, wake up!" she instructed, seeing as their room were conjoined.

Solen was nowhere in sight and Maru was making the bed when Mithiel had barged in. He smiled brightly at her.
“Morning, Lady Mithiel! And if you wondered where Solen is, I believe he went to a bookshop. Possibly. Maybe. Hopefully no-one ends up lying dead in a ditch somewhere . . .” He shrugged. And then he looked her over, his smile fading.
“Were you injured when we met, Milady?”
((If you want to get this done ASAP, that would be fine. If you intend to kidnap a stupid elf and truss it up like a thanksgiving turkey to be presented to the King, just as well. Because, polite as he is, Maru is not above treachery.))

((Neh, ASAP would be fine. And I do apologise for Mithiel's attitude, but its just the way she is. )) "Bring him back, get your reports done with, and lets go back. Farthen does not like to be kept waiting." she said briskly. "And I'm not a lady. Just plain Mithiel would suffice. I'll be in the stables." she finished, her long hair whirled around as she walked out, clearly in a hurry.

Solen passed by Mithiel on her way out, clutching a stack of papers to his chest.
“I’ve done the reports. We should be leaving in roughly half an hour, I need to bind the papers.” He walked on towards the rooms, and entered Maru’s.
“Oh, Solen. Don’t you ever knock?” he asked distractedly.
“Only when necessary. The reports are done and we leave in half an hour.” The glorified paper-pusher sat down and bound the papers together.
“You didn’t kill anyone, did you?” Suspicion.
“An idiot mistook me for a girl and tried to hit on me.”
“You killed him?”
A nod.
“Oh, good.”
((I don’t mind. I’ve been faced with much, much worse. The time difference between this godforsaken place and Malaysia is five hours, by the way. I’m five hours ahead.))

"Good." was the only reply from the Empire Official, and she headed for where Caleb was whinnying for her, and to her delight saw Daros perched on his caramel brown back. Hey Dar, where did you go at night? Mithiel asked, as she picked up a brush and strated combing Caleb's mane and tail. Not much, went hunting. How are those two that you insisted you wana follow? the silver pelted eagle asked, ruffling his feathers before going to perch at the rafters. The usual. was the reply. His horse was so prancey and nervous. You should give him lessons on horse calming. Caleb commented whinnying as he took a irritated glance at Maru's horse. You tell the mare then, I ain't doing anything. Mithiel teased. ((DO a time jump Dam, and then lets end it. ))

The three of them were ready to go within fifteen minutes, so they left a little earlier than planned. Solen went over his report while seated comfortably behind Maru, letting his rider-less horse follow. A few uneventful, sandy, itchy days later, they finally reached Uru baén.
((Maru's horse is a stallion bred for racing, and Solen's is a mare. The mare is chosen because it is especially docile, since Solen is terrible on a horse. And unless there is anything else you want in this thread, it’s closed. Maru isn’t taking part in the spirit thing, by the way.))
