Yin walked through the door and tossed the plates onto the table as he approached it. Tossing forks and spoons, the table was all set up asides from the cups by the time he got there. He placed the glass cups gently onto the table. It's a fine tavern,[/i] Yang said, placing another large tray onto the table. He took a seat and removed the napkins from the plate and placing it on his lap. It was an odd scene with the fancy food, the fancy plates, and Yin with his blood stained clothing, Yang with his shirt in rags.
Dinner is served,[/i] Yin said, placing a dish of butter onto the table and taking a seat. Yang removed the large tray covers, revealing a dish of chicken cut into large strips. The other held a large fish in the center with several smaller ones on the side. Pieces of fruit and veggies filled all the empty cracks.

Vavrin twisted the cork from the bottle and poured Yin and Yang's glasses full before filling her own. When she was finished, she set it aside and took her seat at the table, crossing her legs at the ankle. "Not to mention fine company." Placing the napkin onto her lap, her stomach gave another angry pang as she filled her plate with the savory looking grilled chicken, a piece of bread and cheese.
A real meal, with a variety of foods to choose from. She had nearly forgotten how much she'd missed it. Vavrin was very thankful that the tavern was not destroyed in the raid. "This is nice. The only thing missing is a candelabra," she said as she picked up her fork, laughing slightly.

Yin smiled and lifted his glass. "To the finest looking company I know," he said clearly. Yang smiled, shaking his head and lifting his glass. Their glass clanged and Yang grabbed a piece of fish, dumping it onto his plate.
Sorry, they were out of Chandeliers,[/i] Yang joked, cutting up his fish and taking a bite. Yin grabbed a piece of bread, covering it with butter and nibbling on it.
It's been a while since we've had a real meal asides from fruit, stale bread, and fish, huh? Yin asked, his mouth still full. He grabbed a piece of cheese and threw it into his mouth. Delicious...

Vavrin met Yin's eyes and inclined her head graciously, drinking from her cup. Taking the bread into her hands, she tore off small bits and placed a bit of cheese and chicken on top and began to eat her meal that way. The chicken was tender and juicy, complimented by the flavour of the sharp cheese and flaky, fresh bread. "Mmm... practically ages! One gets tired of having nothing but lousy fruit all the time." Vavrin took another sip of wine and once her bread was gone, stabbed the chicken strips with her fork.
"Its nice to be able to talk about things that arent related to some sort of mission, as well." she remarked, snacking on more cheese.

Who ever thought battling could get tiresome, Yin asked, taking a bite out of his fish.
Wearing rags for a shirt is tiresome... Yang added, cutting up cheese and placing it onto his bread. I say we raid a tailorshop next and find me a replacement shirt.
If we didn't burn down all the tailorshops... Yin said, chuckling. Maybe our dear old magical shade could lend some assistance to our clothes later.

Vavrin laughed. "Assistance, maybe.... Next time you should be more careful," she remarked, though teasingly."I somehow managed to avoid ripping my clothing to absolute shreds. Lucky for you two there is no one to enforce a dress code here." She took the last sip of wine from her cup and placed it aside, and patted her lips with the napkin.
Vavrin placed a colourful assortment of fruit onto a small plate, being avoidant of those which she was forced to have on the road, and began nibbling. She popped a bright green grape into her mouth and smirked. "Im sure I could imagine some brilliantly embroidered tunics, should I wish to be creative. You'd look like Lords in silk, or leathers, for that matter." She raised an eyebrow and nibbled on another bit of fruit.

It's a shame you weren't less careful, Vavrin, Yin said, looking at her from the rim of his glass. I wouldn't mind seeing your outfit cut to rags.
Yang looked up at her with a questioning eye, a fish tail still in his mouth. He removed it as well as the bones and placed it onto an empty plate. I think I've changed my mind... he said, and removed the remains of his shirt and tossed it aside. I'd rather fight the Varden half naked then see what kind of clothing you'd come up with.

She shrugged her shoulders and flashed a pointed grin. "I'm sure you wouldnt, Yin. Though it would take someone with greater skill than your average guard to cut the clothing from my back."
Vavrin took her time sampling the other fruit, this time berries. Her attention was diverted though, as Yang tossed his tattered shirt aside. She leaned on an elbow, glancing at him with narrowed eyes. "Go half naked, I wont complain. Youre just lucky I dont stick you in a corset or something like it. I'm sure that would be fetching." she said, breaking into a fit of laughter.

Yang smiled and laughed slightly. It doesn't take a guard but a house that you tackle a guard through to tear my clothes,[/i] he told her. He watched her eyes and smiled, leaning forward himself. Are you enjoying the show, eh?[/i]
A corset would look quite fetching,[/i] Yin commmented. With those hips, you know, you could pull it off, Yang.[/i]
Yang smiled and leaned back against his seat, throwing a grape into his mouth. He crossed his arms and looked at Vavrin. I'd like to see Vavrin model it for us first.[/i]

"Why yes, I am enjoying myself, thanks." she said as she brushed aside a strand of hair from her face. Once she had finished nibbling the fruit from her plate, she set it aside next to her cup and shifted a bit in her chair.
Vavrin stared at Yang with a bemused sort of expression. "Fancy that," she said, pausing to pour herself a bit more wine into her cup and took a small sip, still keeping her eyes on his. "and what makes you think I would do such a thing for you?"

Yang smiled and took another drink from his wine. I suppose that depends on how this even's meal will go about, won't it?[/i] Yang said, smiling as he lowered the cup. I wonder, Vavrin, just how much wine a shade would have to drink until she mistakingly walks into the wrong room for the night.[/i]
Speaking of which,[/i] Yin interrupted in mid drink, Where will we be staying for the night? If I am not mistaken, we burned down most of the inns in fear that the guards would be sleeping in them and many of the houses are charcoal if not broken.[/i]

"It wouldnt take an overindulgence of wine for me to do that, Yang, though it would not be by mistake." she said smoothly. "If I have learned anything, its that nothing good comes from getting drunk." Vavrin took the last sip of her wine and leaned back into the wooden chair.
Vavrin considered Yin's question. It was true, practically any building left standing was in a severe state of delapitation. "Well, I take it none of us are eager to rough it outside in the rain and among the bodies. So we can stay here I suppose - maybe theres some room in the back," she shrugged. "Other than that, I dont have any ideas. We're kind of stuck." Her maroon eyes glanced from one of them to the other. She sincerely hoped there was room someplace in the back, even if it was a storage closet or something. From what she felt, the wooden bench along the wall of the tavern was not ideal for sleeping or laying on for long stretches of time.

And here I thought something incredibally good would have come from it,[/i] Yang responded, finishing his drink. He grabbed a slice of bread and began nibbling on it.
The tavern owner probably lives here,[/i] Yin said, standing up. I'll go check upstairs for a room. Most likely more then one if he had a family.[/i]
Hopefully not then,[/i] Yang said, laughing. Yin smiled and walked through the kitchen doors and up the stairs, checking the second floor.

Vavrin furrowed her brows slightly. "Sorry to disappoint. I do not need the aid of alcohol to release my inhibitions, if I had any." she stated as she began to remove her bracers from her forearms. "You should know I do as I please by now."
Drumming her fingers on the table as she waited for Yin to return, she wondered what the upstairs looked like. She figured that the tavern owner made quite a bit of money, judging by the food he had kept and served, along with the assortment of beverages. Surely he had kept at least a study or something upstairs. "Well, in any case. If the tavern owner did not have a family, we'll be staying in the same room anyway. What a delight, hmm.

You don't need alcohol to release anything,[/i] Yang said, pouring some more wine into their cups. It just makes it better.
Yin slowly walked down the stairs. Yang's ears twitched as he heard the stairs creak. Only one bedroom it seems[/i] he told them as he opened the door. And a lotta storage space. Closets, lots of items. Lucky we didn't burn down this place. He does have plenty of blankets for both the bed and the floor.[/i]
Yang looked from Yin to Vavrin with a questioning eye.So someone sleeps on the floor? What do you prefer, Vavrin. Being on top or bottom?[/i]

Nihael and Onyxia spotted a thin stream of smoke curling upwards from the chimney of one of the few buildings left standing, and the faint glow of candlelight emanating from within.
Seems they have already found a place to stay for the night.
I see they didn't have the common sense to keep someone on watch just in case.
It seems Our friends our slipping up in their ways.
Yes, it seems, -all- of these friends.
I would have expected better of the Shade.
I have learned never to expect much. It is much better to be pleasantly suprised, rather than dissappointed.
I'll keep that in mind.
Nihael braced himself as Onyxia landed amidst the ruins of a building a short distance from the building that the others were using.
Perfect, they found a tavern. They are probably all drunk by now.
Expecting the worst?[/i] Nihael spoke, his lips quirking up in a small smile.
No, the worst would be that there were surviviors and that they managed to kill these fools in their drunken stupor and that would leave us to report back to Lord Galbatorix about their stupidity.
I never realized what a vivid imagination you have.
I have to do something when you run off somewhere.
Heh. Lets confront our drunken "friends" then, shall we?[/i]
Nihael pushed open the doors to the tavern, one of his swords, eased an inch out of the scabbard. Upon seeing the 'festivities' going on inside, he slid it back in. "Having a little post-mission celebrations without me?"

"Errr. I dont really want to sleep on the floor if thats what you mean." she said as she stood up from the table and stretched her arms and back. She picked up her plates and took them back into the kitchen area and placed them in the sink.
Vavrin re-emerged a few moments later and stood next to Yin. "Maybe you could share the bed with your brother, Yang. Seems fair to me." she said, nudging Yin with her elbow.
Just as the words had left her mouth, the tavern door opened up and Nihael stepped in. Vavrin expected he would eventually find his way back to them. It had been quite a while though. Her eyes met his, and she said, "Good of you to join us, Nihael. Help yourself to any food or drink you'd like."

"A kind offer." Nihael walked over to the table and lounged back into a chair. Pulling a dish over infront of him, he began eating. "You seem to have made it through the whole mess intact," looking over at Yang he added, "most of you." Nihael popped a slice of meat into his mouth, washing it down with wine.
"You seem to have found a well stocked tavern. There wouldn't happen to be anything in the pantry that would be suitable for Onyxia, would there?"

What's wrong, rider?[/i] Yang said, standing up from the table and picking up rags of a shirt.
Jealous?[/i] Yin said, smiling.
Ying finished his drink and looked down at Nihael. Once we've had a taste of poison, we aren't affected by it again. Nothing works on us twice.[/i]
And there's a cellar door outside leading to the meat locker,[/i] Yin said, standing by his brother. He looked between Vavrin and Nihael. Now... how will the sleeping arangements work?[/i]

"I notice you seem to be in one piece yourself, Nihael." she said, crossing her arms.
Vavrin sighed as she looked over at Yang. "I don't know. Really, I dont care. If there are a lot of blankets and things as you said, I could spend the night in the closet comfortably." She began unbuckling her belt and sword, placing it at the end of the table where her things were. With the extra weight of her sword off, her body felt more at ease. Smoothing down her tunic, she turned back and looked at all three of them. "I am in no particular rush."
