Vavrin heard a chorus of crashes and noises. She slowly opened her eyes to see the Rider getting up from off the floor and leaving. Puzzled as to why he was on the floor, and even more curious as to why he was in her bedroom in the first place, she propped herself on her elbows.
"And to think I thought you weren't going to visit me. Took you long enough to get here," she said, mimicing the Rider's words from earlier. She didnt mind that her top was mishappen, barefoot, that she was rudely awaken, and that he made such a mess of her newfound if not borrowed home. Though she did feel somewhat strange without her sword at her side. She lay back against her pillow again, her maroon eyes staring at Nihael and waiting for a response.

Nihael was just about to make his way out of the door and to freedom, when he heard Vavrin speak.
"And to think I thought you weren't going to visit me. Took you long enough to get here,"
He slowly turned around, as though facing a hangman's noose, "I... We... talk... important..." he sputtered before he finally regained some of his lost composure, taking a deep breath and pulling himself out of his half-crouch, he tried to look her in the eye and speak in an even, level voice, "We have something very important to discuss, Onyxia had a dre... a vision of sorts. She says that we should leave this town as soon as possible. There is something not quite right about this place, and it is not just what happened lately that has her concerned, it is something much older, much more dangerous than that. All we know is, the sooner we get our backs to this place, the better." somewhat pleased with his second try at the delivery of the message, he relaxed his tense muscles slightly, but still aware of her attire, he could not help but let his gaze roam. Feeling an unusual if not slightly familiar tug, lower than his gut, he flushed a deep red and averted his eyes and lowered his head, hoping she had noticed that his cheeks were crimson.

Vavrin merely tilted her head to the side and wondered what Nihael was babbling about. "Wait a second. Youre telling me all this fuss is over a vision Onyxia had? She's just as spooked as Indy."
She sat up a little more, tucking her legs behind her. Figuring he wouldnt be leaving quite yet, she continued further. "We've only been here a few hours, and nothing has happened. I also assume you have not given word to the twins," she flashed her pointed teeth, as she knew it to be true, "so why do you come to me? What do you expect me to do? Surely you are not afraid of this ghost town?"
She kept her gaze locked upon the man, who chose not to look her in the eye. She wondered if it was because he thought she appeared vulnerable in such a state, in her bedroom of all places. Vavrin rubbed her shoulder and neck a bit, and hoped that wasnt the case. There were many ways that the Rider could take advantage of such a situation, and she couldnt help but think of a fair few. She figured he wouldnt, but the thoughts were still entertaining.

Nihael looked up and looked her dead in the eye, his face even more red, but this time from indignation more than anything else. "These are not just spooked dreams she has had, like an ordinary horse or a simple villager. This is something deeper, darker. She showed me some of what she saw and it is more than enough to convince me that this place is touched by a taint. This is an ancient power, one even a Shade would not be able to overcome. This place has seen more than its fair share of grief, not all remembered by men who walk Alagaesia..." He trailed off, with a slight shiver, he continued, "We are leaving very soon, either with or without you... and the Twins. Onyxia would have left by now if I had not insisted on giving you fair warning and a chance to leave now. I only hope you will come to the right decision." He had added the Twins almost as an afterthought and later on, completely left out even mentioning them.

Glad you remembered us, Yin said, walking into the room. He looked at the rider and then at the shade, his expression unchanging. Yang heard the commotion of someone breaking furniture so we came to take a look. Yang's watching the doors, but he can hear just fine.
He walked towards the two, the floor creaking slightly as he dragged his staff across the floor. Though I doubt you would care much, Yin said, walking past Nihael and standing between him and Vavrin, but if Vavrin stays, then we, too, are to stay. Our orders were to follow Vavrin, so we go where she goes until new orders arrive.
Yang entered the room, the floors creaking louder with his heavy footsteps. I don't hear anything, he said, his eyes glancing between the three.
Nor do I see anything, Yin said, looking at Nihael. He turned away for a moment as he stared blankly at a wall. But magic can detect that which cannot be seen nor heard. The decision is yours, Vavrin.

The modest bedroom now full of people, Vavrin's eyes met those of Yin's, who stood at her bedside and then later, she became aware of Yang who stood back farther. The whole world must have heard the commotion. The situation seemed utterly ridiculous, though she was glad that they had come to see if anything was wrong. "Good of you two to join us," she said, smirking.
Vavrin's eyes bore into those of the Rider's, her face losing its former smirk and her tone of voice matching and adressing his indignation. "You want to leave? I won't stop you. However I do not plan on leaving this place just yet," she looked to Yin and then over to Yang, "we are staying. I do not fear this taint of darkness as your Dragon does. I dont doubt Onyxia wouldnt have left by now, actually, I'm surprised she hasnt just snatched you by the waist and spirited you away. Seems like something she's eager to do anyway."
Vavrin's disposition was truly hostile. She was not about to up and leave on the whim of a dragon, be it Nihael's or anybody else's. She'd be d**ned if she was going to have someone else telling her what to do. Vavrin now sat fully upright, though she was kneeling near the end of her bed. She glowered at Nihael, not caring if he thought she was being stubborn or careless.

"You do not unde..." Nihael abruptly stopped and staggered back as Onyxia's voice bellowed in his head, scattering all other thoughts to the wind.
Forget about them and LEAVE! If they choose to be foolish and stay, it is their choice, we have warned them of the danger and can do no more.
Alright, I shall be there in a moment.
"I am leaving now, remember, this all boils down to one simple thing, come with me if you want to live. If it is sheer stubborness that is driving you to say no, I will sling you over Onyxia's saddle if I have to, if that is what it would take you to leave, but if there is a good, solid reason for you to want to not leave, I will not press you further." Nihael impatiently waited for a response, and ready to dart off as soon as possible.

She was rather taken aback by the Rider's sudden boldness. Vavrin lowered her legs to the ground and began pulling on her pointed toe boots, left one first then the right, which reached her mid calf. She continued to kneel down and reach for her sword and belt under the bed, and placed it around her slender waist, buckling it. Her body immediately felt at ease with the familar weight of the sword that hung at her side. She brushed against Yin to take the cape from the table. Vavrin put it on, keeping her eyes on the Rider as she dressed.
As she finished putting on her bracers, she stood close and directly in front of the Rider."Now that I am properly dressed, let's see you force me out of Yazuac." She kept her eyes locked on his, as if daring him to take action and carry though with his threats.

He watched her as she started to get ready and with a sigh of relief, thought that she might have actually made the right choice and decided to leave with him. He got ready to leave when,
"Now that I am properly dressed, let's see you force me out of Yazuac."
Nihael felt a twinge of annoyance at her words but decided that, he might as well carry through with what he had stated before. "As you wish." Nihael stepped towards her, bent over and wrapped his arms around her waist, attempting to lift her up, over his shoulder...

The Shade allowed the Rider to place his arms around her waist as he lifted her up and on to his shoulder effortlessly, in one swoop. He held her legs down with his left hand and her upper body rested on his back, so she was sort of bent over his shoulder. They made their way out of the bedroom, through the living room and out on to the street outside. The twins watched and followed shortly thereafter, and within moments the house was empty again.
Night had fallen upon the town of Yazuac, the sky was dotted by thin hazes of clouds that ocassionally passed over the moon. It was just as silent outside as it was in the abandoned homes, and Vavrin watched as the dwelling she had just left grow smaller in the distance as they made thier way away from that part of town. Vavrin assumed that the twins would take care of Indy when they packed up to leave together if she was indeed going to ride with Nihael on Onyxia.
Vavrin didnt put up much of a struggle, though it pleased her that Nihael was true to his word. She decided to let him carry her for as long as it took, or at least until it got too uncomfortable. "Always on the move," she observed dryly.

Nihael was more than a little surprised when Vavrin let him lift her up, over his shoulder. Determined not to show his surprise, he left the room at a quick and steady pace, heading out to the street, he sent a quick message to Onyxia to tell him that he was coming and headed to the pre-ordained meeting spot, at the edge of the desolate village.
"Always on the move,"
He could not help but chuckle to himself. He remembered when he first encountered her about two days ago, and here he was, doing something he would never have fathomed himself of doing. Seeing Onyxia shifting restlessly a short distance from them as he round the final bend, he started to walk a bit quicker. "We are here" he said as he stopped next to Onyxia and gently lowered Vavrin back onto her feet, holding onto her for a bit longer incase she stumbled.
I see you got what you wanted, even though I expressly dictated that you hurry here.
We are here now aren't we? And fortunately nothing has happened yet. Hopefully we shall be able to avoid whatever it is that resides here, beside, Fortune always favours the strong.
We are not clear yet, just hurry up at get settled so we can leave

Vavrin held on to Nihael's arm as he gently lowered her to the ground. She watched as Onyxia shifted and spread her wings a bit, and she had to admit she looked very anxious to leave. It was a very short stay, but at least she managed to get a few hours sleep that she desperately needed. Pulling her shirt back down and fixing her belt, she glanced at the Rider with a sly grin.
"So, is this the part where you sling me across the saddle?" she asked, gesturing with her hand at Onyxia. This would be the first time she had actually riden with him instead of on her steed, and she had a funny feeling that the dragon would not be too pleased to have her on her back.

Yin watched as Nihael lift up Vavrin. He clenched his staff, but stopped himself from acting when he noticed that Vavrin did not resist. Nodding at Yang, they followed Vavrin and Nihael downstairs and out of the building. We're leaving, Yin told their horses. His mind entered that of Indys. You'll be drawing the wagon with the other two.
The twins walked away towards the makeshift stable without Nihael and Vavrin's notice. They began collecting their items quickly and then guided the horses to the wagons. Placing Indy in the lead, they tied the horses to the wagon and hopped in. Yang listened carefully to the area and picked up Vavrin's voice. There... Yang told the horses, guiding them towards the others.

"So, is this the part where you sling me across the saddle?"
Nihael laughed as he helped Vavrin up into the saddle on Onyxia's back and buckled her feet in, before he lithely leapt up and onto it, behind her. "You will probably want to hold on, atleast for the first little while. It can be a little disorienting at first. You should be comfortable enough with the flight to let go of the pommel after a short time."
Are you ready to go, or are we to waste more time teaching *her* how not to fall?
I suppose we are ready now.
Good
Onyxia's powerful hind legs dug into the ground as she prejected herself off the ground in a single leap and unfolded her massive wings, buoying them up higher. A short distance off, he saw the Twins appear around the bend in the village with the horses and wagon in tow. "Could you tell them that we will meet them a mile, North-West of the village? We can get things settled and head on to Narda that way."
((Wow, I just noticed you write colour and it actually works ;>>))

Vavrin sat with her back straight and held on as she was told as Onyxia leapt into the air. It took a moment for her to regain her bearings, but soon she was at ease. She glanced down to see the twins with the wagon being pulled by the horses below. The wind blew through her hair gently as she nodded. "I'll tell them now. She gently touched the conciousness of the twins and began to relay the message.
"Listen, we'll meet you about a mile northwest of the village. It would be best if you could prepare a camp later tonight for us to rest in the wagon. Then we'll head out for Narda."
Vavrin's eyes became focused again, and she began to enjoy the view of her surroundings. She was particularly fond of the cold, chilly night air whipping against her exposed skin. Now and then she'd cast glances downward to see the ground moving and the clouds passing by them as Onyxia kept on, taking them farther from Yazuac.

As you wish, they responded as their horses took off. Try not too have too much fun now.
Yin kept his eyes to the air as Yang closed his, sitting still on wagon as he listened to the flaps of Onyxia's wings. Every now and again, they would change their direction slightly, trying to follow the others as best as possible.
Where and why are we traveling, brother? Yang asked, not opening his eyes. This is quite... bothersome. And rather dull since the latest attack.
Because Galbatorix wishes so, Yin responded simply. Why the questions?
Boredom, I suppose...

Nihael usually merged minds with Onyxia when they flew, enjoying the sensation of being truly free, but this time, he stayed firmly in his own thoughts. Feeling a familiar tug below his navel that had nothing to do with the ground dropping away from them at an incredible speed and swiftly flying through the air, his face once again flushed a little. Retreating into the little corner of his mind, much like the one Onyxia had, which they both agreed to never intrude upon, Nihael was lost in a storm of thoughts.
I hope she does not notice anything... There is nothing between us except a few layers of cloth... Blood and ashes, I hope not. Forcing a smile onto his face and banishing the thoughts, he tried to enjoy the flight, but everytime, he was distracted by the warmth emanating from Vavrin's body. Trying to distract himself, he attempted to start up a conversation, "How do you like flying so far?" he queried somewhat meekly.

Vavrin thought about it for a moment, then said, "It's different, but I like it." She did enjoy it, and marvelled at how much ground they were covering. Even more impressive was the colour of the sky, its deep cerulean accented by the twinkling stars. She then realized how far ahead they must be from the wagon and the twins. "By the way, the twins agreed to meet us. I instructed them to have a camp ready for us when we get there." A mere matter of days had past, and they had already arrived and departed from Yazuac. It seemed like yesterday that Vavrin was still in Gil'ead, in that small office. A great matter of things had happened since, none of which she ever expected. Soon they would be halfway to Narda, and she could only speculate about the things that could transpire there.
The Shade became more at ease upon the dragon, becoming accustomed to her shifts and movements. Allowing her muscles to relax a bit more, she glanced down at her arms to see they were being illuminated by the moon, who had been peeking shyly from behind a cloud. Its faint but milky glow ceased after the cloud had fully passed over, obscuring its rays once more. Vavrin did not realize that in her careless observations, her posture had become less rigid and body was leaning against that of the Rider's.

Are we going to head all the way to Narda before we meet back with the other two?
What? Oh... I don't know...
If you can not keep your concentration around this one, I will be forced to make you keep your mind in the present.
I am perfectly fine. Nihael fell back behind the protective corner of his mind, thinking furiously, while at the same time, trying not to think at all. All he managed to achieve through it was a blank face and a head full of furiously spinning thoughts. He soon became aware of Vavrin leaning heavily against him and his face blanched, looking pale as a ghost under the light of the moon. What is happening to me? I can hardly hold a thought in my head for more than a second... His stomach rose up to his throat as he felt Onyxia suddenly dive and start to roll, without thinking, he tightened his legs around Onyxia and wrapped his arms around Vavrin, trying not to fall off.
I told you I would snap you out of it.
Nihael grimaced and hung on.

Not certain as to how many minutes had past, Vavrin suddenly realized what she was doing. Leaning against Nihael, she could feel the Rider's chest even through her snakeskin cape, how it rose and fell with each intake of breath that he took. She supposed he too, could feel her movements as well. The Shade turned her head slightly, taking comfort that he could not see the slight smile that played upon her face. Suddenly this little flight has become all the more interesting.
Soon a flurry of self-admonishments filled her head, and she reminded herself numerously that such things were not what she was supposed to get involved in. Then another wave of thoughts overtook her, this time lauding her actions. Both sides of her conciousness battled back and forth, thought they were silenced as the dragon took a steep decline. Vavrin let out a gasp as Onyxia began to dive. She felt Nihael's arms wrap themselves around her waist and instinctively she clenched her leg muscles tightly as the dragon began to roll. Damned dragon... should have known she would pull something like this. Holding on as best as she could, all the could do was close her eyes and bear it until the rolling ceased.
