Eragon laughed at Raylborn's last comment. "I understand how young this new rider is. Im only a bit older than him. Me and Saphira are willing to take him, however he acts." Eragon looked at Saphira then shifted somewhat uncomfortably where he stood. He was so curious, finally meeting another rider. I wonder if he knows how to fly? Said Saphira, snorting slightly aloud. We will soon learn. Eragon smiled at Saphira and put a hand on her side. Her breathing was steady, his hand moved up and down with her side.

Jex was sitting in his room talking to Draith when guards knocked on the door. He gathered all of his things after realizing it was the day Eragon arrived. The last thing he got was his cloak. he slipped it on putting the hood on his head and followed the guards back to Raylborn's office along with Draith. He walked at a fast pace reaching the door in a couple minutes. He looked at Draith and pulled his hood down further on his face trying to look cool. The hood covered his eyes Draith snorted. You humans do the weirdest things. Jex turned back to the door and pushed them open.

Raylborn's head shot to the door as it opened, and in walked Jex and Draith. He smiled at them, and motioned for them to come over. "Eragon, Saphira, I would like to introduce you to the newest rider and his dragon. This is Jex and Draith." He said, holding out a hand towards them. He looked Jex up and down, noticing he had all his stuff and nodded in approval. "Very good Jex, you are prepared for your journey." Raylborn walked to his chair and sat, staring at the two riders and dragons, waiting for them to get aquatinted. Then a brief discussion would take place and he would send them on their way.

"A Pleasure to meet you Jex, and Draith." Eragon bowed as did Saphira, which was rather odd. Eragon then postioned himself in a manner that he looked like he was a soilder at attention. Then he moved awkwardly facing his attention on the Dragon. Looks like your type Saphira.Eragon let out a slight chuckle. Oh shut up, little one. Saphira said as she retaliated. "Do you know how to ride Jex?" Asked Eragon.

"The pleasure is all ours." Jex said bowing to Eragon and Saphira. Draith was staring at Saphira. It is rude to stare. Jex told him. Shut it. Draith said. Jex laughed at his dragon. "No I do not know how to ride yet. He is only a couple inches taller then me so i figured it probably wouldn't be a good idea for me to try and fly him." Jex said he was staring at Eragon's sword. It's rude to stare! Draith said nudging Jex with his head.

Raylborn scratched his head slowly. "Hmm...this presents a problem. If Jex doesn't know how to ride, then the two of you must go by horse. That will take much longer. That is unless, sir Eragon, would like to teach you how to ride while here? That is my only other suggestion, or else it's horse." Raylborn said and looked at Eragon for a second, then looked to Jex. It was up to them to decide what to do, all he could do was suggest a thing here and there and hopefully they would think something was a good idea.

Eragon laughed at Jex's thoughts. "Well first i have to teach you to guard your mind. Dont let me read it." Eragon said as to start instructing Jex. Yes, this is a Sword, a Precious sword made by the elves for me. Wow, Hes Amazing. Said Saphira while staring at Draith. "Well i suggest you start closing your mind off. Then i shall teach you some flieing techniques." Eragon then fastened his cape that was his Saphira's Pack. Then he stood staring at Jex.

"What?!" Jex asked Draith for help and was able to close his mind off from all except Draith. You could have told me about that earlier. Draith smiled. I thought you already knew great rider. he said mockingly. "So we can read others minds i never knew that. How do you do that?" He asked trying to figure out his self Draith refused to tell him. One so great should already know. Draith said amused that Jex had to ask another how to do something.

[Merlin ~]

"Ah well, could you take Jex to train somewhere...elsewhere? Upstairs or maybe in the courtyard. I have a lot of work to do. You are dismissed." Raylborn said and looked down at an open book. He began to read, but his thoughts were elsewhere. Eragon had better be able to train Jex to fly, or else it will be a long while until they arrive at Ellesmera. Raylborn thought to himself. There was no point in them roaming around his office yelling and discussing, he was no longer involved in the conversation even. So he had done what had to be done.

"It would all come in good time young rider." Eragon laughed as he could not get into his brain any longer. "Alright you have seemed to master that Jex. Lets work on some riding shall we?" Eragon set off for the door and kept it open signaling for Jex to go first. "Before we learn to ride we must first get you a saddle. Cause trust me im willing to take a week for you to learn how to ride other then us take horses." Come young Jex.

Jex followed Eragon out of the room for one last stop at the door. He tried breaking into Raylborn's mind but wasn't able to. "Where to?' He asked leaving the room. Draith followed him leaving the room. Your age shows a lot. Draith said laughing. What do you mean? Jex asked confused. Nevermind. Draith and Jex were now both staring at Saphira. She is so much bigger than you. Jex looked up to see her face and waved with a smile. Draith was also smiling at Saphira.

Eragon noticed both Jex and Draith looked at Saphira. Eragon spun around and said "What do you think your doing? You have no right to look at an Eldest Dragon like that. Therefor you must pet her." Eragon smiled as Jex's faced turned from worried to excited. "And as for you Draith you may nudge her, as she likes you too." Little one, you shall pay for that. Saphira said. Although i heard what sounded like a pur from Saphira as Draith nudged her.
