Illyria leaned against Otho in her saddle as Otho flew towards the ground. Illyria's black hair flew back away from her face. She smiled happily when Otho flew back up out of sight. Your enjoying this arent you? otho asked her with a slight chuckle. "Of course I am and so are you." Illyria replied and rubbed Otho's opal scales. Happiness danced in Otho's Icy blue eyes. When would you like to go back? Otho asked her. "no clue just fly a bit lower." Illyria told her. She looked down and saw the Jiet river. The sun falshed across Otho's scales as she dove. Worry creased Illlyria's brow. Anyone would have seen that if they were looking in our directin she thought to herself. Dont worry poppet...we'll be alright. Otho told her. Illyria smiled and pated Otho's neck affectionately.

Yin and Yang sat in a cabin on a boat in the sea. A map was laid out in front of them with a long rivered circled in red ink. Yin adjusted a boat on the map, tracing their pace and how far they had traveled. Only a day and they had already made it from the Empire all the way down near the start of the Jiet river. There was a bang on the door and the captain broke it open.
"Hey! You need to stop this!" he shouted angrily. "You're working our crew to death! Not even the Empire's magicians can heal their exhaustion. A handful of the magicians have passed away as well!"
The twins continued staring at the map and adjusted a few paces. "I'm talking to you!" the captain shouted. He raised his arm and attempted to slam it down on the desk. Yin looked up quickly and grabbed the captain's hand before it hit the table. Yang jumped on the table and pulled a knife out from his sleeve, pulling it against the Captain's neck. They stood there in silence for a moment, the ship moving slowly against the waves. The captain began sweating hard and his breathing became slow. Yin released his hand and Yang shoved the Captain against the wall.
"Raise the flag..." they said at the same time. Yang dropped the blade from the captain's neck and tucked it into his sleeve. "Let her know we come."

Illyria looked and saw a ship. Her heart beat faster. Otho saw it too she snorted. and went closer. "Hey!" Illyria shouted at her but it was lost in their wuick desent. What are you doig?! She shouted at Otho. I'm checking that ship out what else does it look like. she responded. Illyria sighed. There is no changing your mind... she grumbled. She checked her boots quickly to make sure her tridents where hidden but could be pulled out at a moments notice. you arent very trusting and you never go by others. Otho snorted. I have my reasons and you know them she hissed at Otho. Otho rolled in the air as they got closer to the ship. I dont like it Otho head up out of site Illyria hissed. No....there is something about it... she said and blocked Illyria out of her mind.

Yin stood on the deck, gazing out towards the land. He smiled and looked back at Yang, who nodded. "Stop the ship," they said in unison. The drumming stopped and the crew stopped paddling. They dropped to the ground in exhaustion and collapsed. The magicians and sorcerers slowly walked on board. Yin looked at the magic casters and counted their number. "We only need half of you."
"But... we're exhausted," the leader of the group said, pressing down on his cane. "We cannot fight a dragon so weakened."
"Then take the energy from the crew," the twins said simply. They turned and looked back at the approaching dragon.
"What? But---"
"And the old man too..." they said, turning back around. Yang pointed a sword at his throat. "Or we kill all of you."
The spell casters shifted uncomfortably and looked at eachother. The elder caster turned around, looking at the others, panic on his face. They opened their hands and the elder collapsed, drained of energy. The captain rushed out of the cabin but collapsed as soon as he took one foot out. The ship filled with the panic screams of the crew as they realized what was happening. Yin and Yang smiled to themselves and continued their watch on the dragon.

Otho roared when she heard the screams. She dove down at the ship. Illyria gasped as the air was knocked out of her lungs at the sudden drop. Otho!she yelled at her. Otho veared off the the side quickly and landed on the bank. Her nostrles flared and her icy eyes showed furry. The screams...helpless... she told Illyria through her rage. A growl rumbled in her chest as she looked at the deck of the ship. Illyria looked as well. "We must leave. We can do nothing." Illyria told her. No Otho responed and stood where she was. A slight gust blew hair into Illyria's face. "What is it you want to know Otho?" she asked with a pleading note in her voice. What they want. she growled back. Illyria groaned and looked back at the ship. "What is it you want?!" Illyria yelled. She reached down to her boots and placed her fingers on a trident. Otho roared again and stepped closer.

Yin and Yang smiled and laughed to themselves. You, they said simply, their voices echoing in Illyria and Otho's head. The two spoke to the casters without turning around. "Prepare yourselves. Half of you go below."
The twins turned to eachother. They come, brother, Yin spoke to Yang.
Yes, brother, they do, Yang responded. Shall we begin?
Yes, brother, we shall.
Yin held his staff firmly and stood in front of Yang. Yang unsheathed his sword and stood back to back with Yin. Face us, rider, if you have the strength to.

Illyria growled herself. "You shall never have me or my dragon!" She pulled out her tridents as Otho took flight. She flew low straight at the ship. DIE! Otho roared in Illyria's head. Illyria jumped off the saddle and landed next to the twins. Otho hovered above her ready to fight. "Try your best." she muttered as wind blew her hair away from her face and past her pointed ears. Her eyes flashed a challenge but it vanished as fast as it had appeared. In one fluid motion she was in a fighting stance.

Yang stood behind his brother, eyes closed and sword in hand. Yin crouched low and prepared his staff. "Distract the dragon," they spoke to the spell casters. The spell casters raised their arms, rings flashing in the light as their energy drained away. Wind began blowing harder and wrapped around the dragon. It brushed against her wings and tangled her with wind.
Your dragon's wings will be her downfall, they spoke in her mind. Yang jumped into the air and Yin pulled his staff back. Yang landed against Yin's staff and it decended slightly, staying inches above the floor. Catch. Yin shot the staff forward and Yang flew towards the girl, sword raised.

Illyria Jumped to the side hoping to get out of his way. "If you kill her or hurt her in anyway I will personally make you wish you hadnt!" She shouted. Otho roared and dove down at the ship. Her wings folded against her back. A little help with the wind poppet she said. Illyria concentrated on making the wind weaker. but didnt do to good of a job because she was distracted by the twins. Cant Otho she said finally after she tried harder. Otho growled and finally Illyria gave in and fought to get the wind away from Otho ignoring the twins.

Now, brother? Yang asked.
Now, brother, Yin responded. Yin ran towards Yang, who jumped into the air. Yin dropped his staff and held out his hands. Yang landed in his hands and Yin tossed him into the air and landed on the dragon as the wind died.
Yin grabbed his staff and dashed towards Illyria. His image became a blur as he ran around her, jabbing at her several times with his staff. He was weak, yes, but the damage would build.
The spell casters raised their hands as arrows floated behind them. They pulled back as if set in an invisible bow. The arrows aimed, not for the dragon, but for Illyria. Which will you choose, dragon? the twins asked. Yang ran across Otho's body and walked against Otho's head. Yang pulled his sword and raised his above his head. Your rider or yourself.

Illyria gasped and looked at them. "Kill a rider and the dragon will be your worst nightmare. Kill a dragon and the rider will seek revenge. So either way you accomplish nothing. In the end if you kill either of us you acommplish nothing we never did anything to you. " Otho looked sorowfuly at her Illyria.I wish to live but I wish for her to live more she said sadly. "No Otho I would rather die then you! I would do anything to keep youo safe!" She yelled at her.

A delay is all we need,[/i][/color] the twins said, interrupting their moment. The arrows fired towards Illyria and Yang dropped his sword. They could feel the tension of the dragon and her rider as the situation happened quickly.
And then the situation changed. The arrows changed direction and flew towards Otho. It circled her and chains appeared, wrapping her wings tightly. Yang turned his sword and hit Otho in the head with the butt of his sword. While Illyria was distracted with her dragon, he raised his staff and smacked it against her head several times over. The dragon and her rider dropped like a stone, one hitting the water, the other hitting the floor.

Illyria felt pain shot through her head and fell to the foolr as everything went Black the last thing she remembered was screaming Otho's name. Otho heard Illyria scream her name but blacked out and hit the water. Otho sunk deep into the water. She was out cold along with Illyria.

The chains disappeared as soon as they were sure the dragon was unconsious. The spell casters dropped to their knees, exhausted. Otho floated back to the surface as the replacement spell casters came on deck. They lifted the exhausted ones up with Yin and Yang turned towards them. "Leave them be," they commanded. "We have more pressing matters. Tie up the dragon and connect her to the ship. We'll drag her back to the Empire."
"But the others!" someone argued.
"Can wait..." Yin and Yang spoke as they reached for their weapons. "The dragon cannot. Bind her jaw shut, her legs against her belly, and her tail against her legs."
"And how do we return home?" asked the spell caster as the others went to work. "We have no men to row the ship."
Yin turned to Yang, who nodded in responce. Yin took off towards the sails and released them quickly, tying and untying ropes. Yang slowly bent down over Illyria and took out chains, chaining her arms together and binding her legs. He took out rags and shoved them in her mouth. When Yang stood back up, Yin was finished, 5 sails fallen and ready. The spell casters were finished their job and waited for their next assignement as the others went to rest. "Cast your wind spells. We sail back to the empire."
