A guard stared at the floor, bored of his current position. He was guarding the throne room doors, but nothing ever happens and he usually just stared into space. He heard footsteps but did not look up from his spot. "No one enters without the kings approval," he said. The footsteps continued and got closer. They continued until they were only a few feet from him. "Oy! Didn't you hear what I---"
The guard looked up angrily, reaching for his sword, and found himself staring up at the twins, Shield and Sword. He stopped in mid sentance and his hand froze at the handle of his sword. Yang's blind eyes stares into his and he could feel his heart stop. Yang walked around him, to the left, while Yin walked to the right. The doors opened themselves and they entered the throne room. The doors shut behind them and the guard released his breath of air and collapsed against the wall. He was sweating and he wasn't sure why.
Yin and Yang continued forward, walking down the carpetted walkway towards the king. They bowed as they met the set of stairs leading to the throne. The king said nothing and only looked at them as they rose from the floor. He turned his head and motioned his hand. A boy came forward, dressed in nice clothes, especially nice for a slave. The boy was shaking as he walked forward, large silver plate in hand. He reached Yin's side, shaking terribly by now, and bowed down, holding the plate above his head. On the plate held a single scroll. Yin took it, unraveled it, and read it to himself. Yin turned back to the king and he and Yang bowed down once again. "As you wish, sire," they said, their voice echoing in the room. They turned on their heels and walked away.
