Illyria groaned and grabed her head as she opened her eyes. The last thing she could remember was reaching Therinsford. She looked around and noticed that she was in a large room. It looked like...Oh shoot. she thought as she realized it was Galbatorix's throne room. "Great.." She groaned. Otho? She asked and saw her laying not to far from her. I'm up... she groaned to Illyria and moved her head. Otho's mouth was still tied shut. Illyria stood up and walked over to her the best she could. She staggered a bit. "Here let me get this off." she whispered and looked around quickly before she looked for where they tyed it. "No knots even better." She muttered. "I dont even have my tridents or my sword in hand either. The twins still have him or Galbatorix does." Otho growled and swished her tail. Someone is coming poppet. she announced. Illyria's icy blue eyes looked around at the doors quickly and waited. Otho growled and stood up unsteadly on her legs. She stretched her neck and her opal scales flashed in the light of the room. She wrapped her tail protectivlt around Illyria and her neck as well. They shant harm you or try anything if I can stop it. she growled angrily. Illyria stroked her eye ridge to calm her down. Best to be careful dont want any trouble right now. If its the twins coming though I swear I'll make them pay. Otho closed her eye facing Illyria but kept her other opened and glared around the room.

A large man entered the chambers. He was dressed in nice robes, the robes of a noble, but nothing fancy. His robes were deep black and made of fur. He carried a large tray of food and carried it towards the girl and her dragon. A guard followed him with a chair and set it down in front of person. He sat down as the guard left and set the tray down on the floor. With a wave of his hand, the rope around the dragon's mouth untied. He met the dragon's eyes and smiled to himself.
"I mean no harm in this visit, dragon, the man said, speaking in the ancient language. He looked down at the girl and nudged the food to her. "You should eat."
The door opened again and Yin and Yang entered the room. The man turned to look at them and then turned back to the dragon and the girl. He held out his hand quickly to stop any of them from attacking eachother. Again the man spoke in the ancient language. "They will not harm you two unless you plan to attack. He is here to observe by orders of the king."

Otho growled at Yin and Yang. Ants I could have squished them under my feet. Illyria Chuckled and looked at the tray of food. She picked up a piece and sniffed it slightly. She ate it slowly. What do you mean you mean me no harm on this visit? otho asked him curiously. You plan on harming me sometime? smoke curled out of her nostrils as she brought her head closer to the man. Illyria placed a hand gently on Otho's neck and cleared her throat. "Now wouldnt be a good time to threaten anyone right now. Seeing as how Yin and Yang are here and I still dont have my effects." She stated to Otho. Otho growled but retreated her head. Harm me I'd like to see him try[/color] She snorted. Illyria shook her head and ate another piece of food before shoving it back at the man. "I care not of eating right now. I have no appetite after the trip here and the things that happened on it." She said without any emotion keeping her eyes on Yin and Yang. You have no idea what I could do to you.[/color] She hissed mentally at Yin and Yang. Her eyes flashed with furry but went back to showing no emotion after a few seconds. Otho opened her mouth a few times and looked around.

The man smiled to himself and laughed a little. "I only say this because I cannot guarentee that I do not harm you in the future," he said, smiling. "After all, what would happen if you two attacked me in the future? I'd be completely defenceless."
He leaned over and took the tray of food, sliding it out of the way. "It will be fresh and warm for whenever you wish to eat it," he said, not looking at her. He raised his head slowly and adjusted himself in his seat. He looked down at the girl, his eyes serious. "What are your thoughts as to why you were brought here?

"My thoughts to why I was brought here. My thoughts are the person who who wants me here is out of his bloody mind! I dont want to be here I have no clue why I was brought here! she yelled a bit upset at his question. "I had no time to think on the trip here. Those two..."She couldnt find proper words to call the twins and her face got red with anger. "...THINGS! Kept me out all the time and I practiaclly had to threaten them to allow my dragon to move her legs! If it where up to them they would have made her go the whole trip with her legs tied under her!" she added with her voice rising every second. Calm down Poppet...[/color] Otho Told her and nudged her back. Illyria closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She opened her eyes and looked straight at him. "My thoughts as to why I was brought here....I have none." She said coldly clenching her hands to make fists.

The man watched the girl calmly as she started screaming. The twins were smiling and laughing to themselves. "If you think about it, the answer is simple," the man said, standing up. "Do you know of a man named Murtagh? A rider for the Empire taken against his will. You are a rider and we want you."
The twins moved aside as the man walked through. "Welcome to my Empire, Rider," the King said, his voice deepening. He waved his hand as the tray of food disappeared. "I do hope you enjoyed your last meal. Once you and your dragon are starving to death, we'll see who's side you fight on. Come call me when you're ready to come to my side, the side of the true ruler of Alagaësia."

Otho roared and spread her wings slightly. Rage boiled in her eyes and she stomped her feet angrily. "You bloody fiend!" Illyria screamed and stepped forward. Rage that matched Otho's played in her eyes. You cant force us to do this we would rather die! You cant force us like you did him![/color] Otho roared mentaly. The smoke coming from her nose darkened. Illyria's head snapped in Otho's direction. "LETTA!" She yelled at her and looked at Galbatorix with rage still playing in her eyes. "I would do anything to prevent harm from coming to my dragon. You as a rider yourself should know the loyalty between a rider and their dragon. If I were to bend to your will now and come to your side. You have to promise no harm shall befall my dragon. The only harm that can befall her is from battle or traning." Illyria spat out. Otho growled and lowered her head and wings. He is a snake...[/color] she hissed to Illyria. "But I have no reasons in my head to really join anyside. Why do you think I hid from people." she snapped loudly. WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?[/color] Otho bellowed mentally. I vowed that I wouldnt let any harm befall you. I vowed you would never have to starve and if this is the only way I can keep my vows so be it. My will is strong and it will never break. I may do as he wants but I wont do it with all my strength. The only way that will happen is if I'm made or he threatens your life.[/color] Illyria replied calmly. "But I will think this over I have no need to chose a side. I see no reason to join yours other then food. I can get by for a long time without eating. Give me more then that reason to join your side.

Galbatorix looked at the two behind the bars of the door. "It's only a matter of time," he said, watching them closely. "Your dragon will starve, your will shall break, and you will be mine. And if all else fails, I have... other methods of persuasion."
He turned away from the door and started walking away. "Don't try and break the walls, they'll do you more harm then good," he said, waving at them as he walked. "Watch them closely, Shield and Sword. I don't want to lose my new... toys."
He let off a laugh that echoed down the empty chambers. The twins looked through the bars of the door. "Pity..." they said, watching her and the dragon. "You two would have made quite the competition."

Otho reached a claw through the bars at them and growled. Pity you would have made a decent meal. Otho replied. Illyria smirked at that and sat down. Otho pulled her claw back in and looked at her. What do you want to do?[/color] she asked Illyria. Illyria sighed and shook her head. I dont know. I dont want to join him. I dont want to join anyone. But it looks like they have backed me into a corner.[/color] Otho laid down and snorted. Yes it seems that we have and our only options are death or joining him.[/color] Otho replied sadly. She looked at Illyria with sad eyes. And I suppose now would be a bad time to tell you I'm hungry..[/color] "yeah it would but I suppose this gives me a reason to decide fast die...or join." she chuckled in response aloud. Illyria stood up and leaned against the wall with a smirk playing on her face. "You seemed to have timed grabbing us so that we would cave fast. And we still will make quite the competition. The only thing that is a pity is that your alive." Otho's stomach growled loudly.

"Yes, it seems that there are quite a few things around here that is pityful, huh? they asked, backing away from the doors. "But hopefully we won't have to see eachother for long if Galbatorix assigns that good for nothing Shade to watch you."
They turned and looked at the two again. "Though we'd very much like to help break you to go to Galbatroix..." they said, smiling. Their eyes flashed as voices entered the girl and the dragon's head. Loud screaming of people being tortured rang through their mind. Children screaming and crying, lost and confused. A loud, female voice screamed out in pain... and then it stopped. "Maybe we'll torture everyone else until you join our side. We'll let you feel their pain and our pleasure as we remove their skin and feed them to the dogs."

Illyria winced and grabbed her head. "I dont need you doing that when I can let voices into my head whenever I want." She growled and looked at them hatefuly. Otho whimpered and looked at Illyria pleadingly. I know you dont want to but please. Just so the people dont get hurt.[/color] She pleaded. Illyria sighed sadly. "If you really want to." she muttered and looked back at the twins with regret in her eyes. "Get Galbatorix I wish to speak with him." she said the regret could be heard in her voice. Otho roared loudly and looked sadly at Illyria. You must hate me for asking you to just join without waiting long... otho said softly. I could never hate you.[/color] She replied and rubbed otho's neck.

"Joining you side. But I'm only doing it because my dragon wishes it. She doesnt want them to harm anyone." Illyria replied tartly. Otho raised her head and looked at him. She then nudged Illyria. "We will join you. "She muttered and bowed slightly.

The king smiled, a very crooked smile as he approached the dragon and the girl. "Very good then, but I will need you and your dragon to speak a few words," he said, looking at them. "Just repeat after me exactly as I say."
"I swear upon my word as a dragon rider and upon my dragon's life that I will obey King Galbatorix's every wish and never mean him any harm," he said, speaking in the Ancient Language at Illyria. He turned and looked at the dragon, saying the same statement but changing dragon to Illyria's name.

Illyria closed her eyes as a pained look crossed her face. No turning back now Otho.[/color] She mentaly to her. I know poppet[/color] Otho replied sadly and looked at Galbatorix. Happy you have two new pawns.[/color] Otho growled at him.

"Yes, very pleased," he said, smiling. "Now my little pawn, you shall protect your king by going to meet his black knight. Fly down to meet a shade of mine. She'll instruct you on what to do. Oh, and eat before you go if you wish, but do not take too long. I give you... 5 minutes."
Galbatorix turned around and walked away, walking out of the room. He turned and spoke with the twins quickly. "Join them, I'm sure they'll enjoy that, he said, laughing to himself. He turned and looked at the rider and her dragon. And I want no harm to come to them, is that understood?"

Oh sure as long as I dont have to fly.[/color] Illyria nodded her head sadly. I'll do my best and try to resist the hunger pains.[/color] Otho sai sadly. illyria looked at the twins. "My weapons if you would be so kind as to give them to me." She said coldly and walked up to them. Otho walked behind her. I wont have to carry them will I?[/color] she asked grumply.

"Of course, pawn" they said with a bow and a snicker. They raised up and went to retrieve the weapons. They returned in a few moments, weapons in hand, and handed them to the girl. "Shall we leave now, or do you still require nurishment. Unpoisoned only by request of course."
They reached into their pockets and tossed a scroll to Illyria. "This is the map of where to find the Shade. It should be simple enough. I hope your dragon is powerful enough to carry us all, or is it still just a little hatchling."

Otho snapped in the faces. "No she can carry all of us. But be warned... She doesnt like you." Illyria said placing her sword in the sheath and her tridents in her boots. Illyria caught the scroll and opened it. "Shouldn't take us long if we leave now. Oh and if you poisoned our food Galbatorix wouldnt have his new pawns and he would get mad no wouldnt he."Illyria smirked evily. Lets go now I can eat on the way if I so desire.[/color] Otho told Illyria. "We shall leave now." Illyria told them. "Oh and I hope you dont mind heights."

"Our poisons don't kill, just daze," they said, placing a small powdered substance into their pouches. "We are the ones who do the killing.
They looked at the dragon and walked slowly towards it. "We don't mind anything sept annoying little children," they said as they mounted the dragon.
