Jex nodded and listened to Eragon's words they were wise. He is smart. Jex told Draith still thinking about the words. And experienced. Draith added. Yeah that too. Jex said. Don’t worry young one. One day you will be wise and experienced too.
"So where are we off to now?"
Jex asked Eragon. He looked around the hall for the way Eragon and Saphira were headed before he found them. He had seen no way just two citizens talking together.

((OOC: Eragon was gonna enter the council cambers, but Raylborn requested that I wait untill the shade was gone, so I'm kinda drawing it out now  ) "I was going to go to the council chambers, I suppose you may come as well if you'd like. Be wary though, the council is dangorus, not to your phisical being, but in many other ways." Eragon said. He is eger to learn. He said to Saphira. |

Jex said to Eragon. He figured he could stand the council. What could a bunch of old council memebers do to a rider like me? Jex thought to himself. Be careful young one. It won't be as easy as you think. Draith told Jex.

"Yes, quite a beauty, eh?" he asked as Forest flew lower. Forest started looking around quickly, his eyes and head turning and scanning the ground. "Hey! Watch it!"
Forest looked up and just managed to turn, his wing grazing the roof of a building. Sorry... he said, staring down below again.
"What the heck are you up to, eh? You're gonna get us all killed." Pike turned around to make sure the others were okay and smiled at them.
... I'm.... there! Forest dove towards the courtyard. He landed softly and looked around as people ran away from him.
"Sorry! Sorry! We come in peace!" Pike shouted to the crowd, hopping off Forest. He waved his arm as a guard approached them. "Uh... is this a no fly zone?"
Forest ignored the people and sniffed around and walked towards Eragon's direction. He even forgot to release the ropes the held Lira and her dragon. The guards drew their blades and Pike ran off after Forest. They turned the corner and ran into Eragon and his dragon. "Sorry!" Pike shouted, turning the corner. "Hey! You have a dragon! Can you get these guards off my back?"

she tugged at the ropes that bound her to forest as he walked away from the guards

Eragon spun around at the words "Hey! You have a dragon! Can you get these guards off my back?"
Then another voice said, "We come in peace! We wish to speak with your leader!" A green dragon came towards him, and two people appeared to be tied to its back.
"Halt, all of you." He commanded. The Gaurds that had just come around the corner obayed, but he wasn't so sure about the Dragon. He prepared to use magic just in case.

at the command from the man, all the guards halted. but forest continued walking towards the guy. and he still didnt let her off. when they reached him she said "thank you. i'm lirael and he's pike. we're looking for the varden"

"Actually, I'm more interested at finding a bar and finding out if the Varden women are any good looking," Pike said, looking around. Forest lowered his head towards Eragon, pressing his face near him. He sniffed and then exhailed some smoke.
Where's your companion? Forest asked him, backing his head away and looking around. The ropes around Forest returned to his side, wrapped up in a coil. I can smell her scent on you.
"Going quite outta the way for a female, eh Forest?" Pike asked, nudging him in the side. "I've taught ye well!"

"Hi" Laine staggered forward the wrank smell of alcohol leaping off his breath. He walked in a not so very straight fashion towards the group of people smiling happily. He fell backwards into a seating position with a loud but quick thud.

Jex jumped in shock from all of the people who had just appeared. "Hello." He said a little confused. They are riders is all I can tell. Jex told Draith. He looked over the at the rider and the green dragon. A girl seemed to be tied to the dragon along with a creature. Do you think they have come to join the Varden or have a message from the Empire? Jex asked Eragon he was ready to attack if they were his enemy.

((OOC: Well, she was supposed to be out in the courtyard, but nvm, she'll be right behind Eragon.))
Eragon let the dragon sniff him, and greeted it with a nod. He answered Jex with his mind, I don't think they're from the Empire, but perhaps that is wishful thinking. As he put a hand on his sword, Eragon said out loud, "Looking for the varden, well... you have found them."
Eragon was afraid, if the Empire had a new rider, all could be lost, but if he was a freind, the tides could turn to their favor. Be wary little one, do not place your foot in a trap. Saphira adivised.

Pike sniffed the air and backed away from the drunk man. "You seem to know where the bar is, but I think you've had quite a bit too much fun," he said, turning away from him and looking back at Eragon. His eyes glanced at his hand as Eragon moved for his sword. "Now now, don't get hasty else you might poke an eye out."
Pike looked back at Forest, who seemed to have finally notice that Saphira was behind her rider. Hey, lover lizard, mind getting back to the task at hand?
Forest blew out a thing of smoke from his nose and looked back at Pike. What do you want?
Tell that guy in your weirdo, truth telling language that we mean no harm before he gets stab happy makes me into a coat or something.
Forest looked back at Eragon and relayed the message, Pike listening in. "See? We're only here cause the girly wanted to see the Varden and... well, we're just bored." Pike stuck his thumb out and pointed it to Lira.

Jex was happy from the man's words. They aren't with the Empire. It seems she wants to join the Varden and I'm sure if we told him that there are beautiful women here he would join too. Jex told Draith excited about the new riders. That would be an advantage over the Empire. Draith said standing straight and tall. And hopefully the fall of them. Jex stepped forward to stand next to Eragon.

"good. that means we came to the right place." she rolls her eyes at pike. "the girly? i seem to remember you also wanted to come to the varden. oh, and we passed a bar on our way here. called "The lemon" or something like that. you can go if you like. as soon as your dragon lets go of me and eri" she said with a slight laugh. she was feeling better finally on the ground after the long flight. she saw the man's hand go to his sword and said "i said we come in peace. we wish no harm on anyone. i wish to see the varden. one of the eggs the elves had hatched for me and i decided to come here and join the varden."

"That is good news fellow rider. My name is Jex and this is Draith."
Jex pointed at his gray dragon. Draith arched his neck.
"I'm sure you will be welcomed by Lord Raylborn. Have you any training?"
Jex asked. Everything was going so fast one minute he was walking with Eragon the next minute there are two new riders and dragons. Jex had forgot to ask one thing names.
"May I ask your names?"
Jex said he now could see that the thing he thought was a creature earlier was the girls dragon.

Pike laughed and looked over at Forest. Forest turned his neck towards his back and lifted Lira from her collar and put her down on the floor. The ropes wrapped around her dragon and set him on the ground. "Alright, so I did want to see this place, but after receiving such a welcome, I'm not sure if I'd like to stay," Pike said, glaring at the guards. He smiled and laughed, jumping into the air and landing on Forest's back. He kicked the side of Pike gently like a horse. "Onward, Forest! To The Lemon and beyond!"
No, he said simply, not moving. I... WE stay.
"Aw come'on! The ladies! They are a waiting!" Pike said, putting his head next to Forest's. Forest shook his back and threw Pike off onto the floor. He set his foot on Pike's chest and pinned him down. He looked back up at Eragon and Saphira. We will stay and we will speak. I am called Forest. The monkey under my paw is called Pike.
Pike smiled and gave them a wave. "Hello..." he said, his voice sounding small and out of breath.

He likes women that much! Jex thought. They will be the death of him.
"Pike there are many beautiful women in the Varden and I'm sure that they would want to meet a dragon rider who fights for them."
Jex said. Draith looked at Forest who was a lot bigger than him. Hello Forest I am young and I have heard there are not many of our kind left. I have already met one that is an ally to me. I hope you will be another. Draith said. I think they might join Forest seems more into the idea then Pike. Draith told Jex.

"Sorry, kiddo, but I--" Pike said, trying to pry himself out from under Forest. "Hey! You mind?"
You won't leave? Forest asked, pressing harder. Pike coughed loudly and gasped for air until Forest let up a little.
"Sheesh, like I'd leave you alone here," he said as Forest let go. He stood up, dusted himself off, and looked over at the boy again. "As I was saying, I fight for no one but myself and Forest here. We will, however... er... you know what? Maybe I should be telling this to someone who's in charge, eh? Who is in charge, anyway? Is it a she? Is she cute? Maybe I should discuss stuff with her by myself over a drink..."
Forest nudged Pike with his horn. Knock it off, you weirdo. Try and keep some dignity, eh? Forest looked back down at Draith. Aye, little one. I have spoken with many animals and they say our kind has been long gone. I am an ally to all dragons, which is why I am reluctant to join the Varden. I will not have dragon blood on my claws. But like Pike said, we shall speak of these matters at another time.

Jex said to the two riders. Draith looked at Forest. I understand you and your riders decsion.
"But that meeting should be over soon. We were on our way to go see him too. I can't say I know the way though."
Jex turned to look at Eragon.
