The bright sunlight stirred Pike, slowly at first, but he soon woke up. He jumped on Forest, who was still in the phase between asleep and awake. "Wakey wakey, dear Forest," Pike said, placing his head against Forest's. Forest growled softly but Pike continued to shake his head. "We have quite the adventure this morning."
Forest opened his mouth wide and gave a yawn, snapping it shut quickly. And just what are we doing this fine morning then? he asked, standing up on all fours and then stretching out the front of his body like a cat. We have plenty of time til the feast, you know.
"Aye, and that means we have even more time to mingle!" Pike said happily, sitting a little bit back. "Like with that fine elf, maybe?"
Fun... Forest said sarcasticly. And what am I to do while you make a fool of yourself?
"Make a fool of yourself with the dragons, mayhaps?" Pike asked. Forest thought about the idea and then nodded. Where to?
Pike closed his eyes and allowed his mind to try and find the elf. He found a few creatures in Aberon but quickly found the elf. Pike sent the image to Forest's mind. "To the rooftop guarden."

The night had passed quickly for Niniel. Sleep found it's way to her easily enough, but she also was able to enjoy a beautiful view of the night sky from her small paradise. When she opened her eyes with the sun that morning she simply say still, just as if she were asleep. She enjoyed the feeling of safety that she was experiencing in this city, but she would get bored of it quickly. She supposed that the safe feeling probably also had to do with the fact that there was more than one rider present.
She thought about the group that she had seen the previous evening, and couldn't help but smile a little. Such an ill-trained group was supposed to save all of Alagaesia. While she knew that the younger riders would be trained eventually, she still couldn't get over the fact that the fate of their land rested on the shoulders of beings who were only a fraction of her age.
Can't blame them though, she thought. After all, they are only human. But then she rebuked herself; they were also riders which made them almost equals with the elves. But not quite, she laughed to herself.

"There," Pike said as Forest flew over the garden. He jumped off Forest and waved at him. "See you at the feast."
Forest turned away and flew in a different direction. I'm hungry now... he thought to himself, flying off to go hunting instead.
Pike shot through a tree, grabbing, but not breaking, some branches to slow him down. He landed with a soft thud in front of the elf. Pike brushed himself off and turned around. "Hello!" he said, smiling and waving his hand slightly

Niniel sat in reflection, when the odd rider landed in front of her and began dusting himself off. She looked up at the sky and spotted a dragon flying off, and she smiled a little at the riders willingness to simply jump off of his dragon in mid-flight. "Hello!" he said, smiling and waving his hand slightly.
Niniel stood and smiled at the rider, "Good morning, Argetlam. Forgive me, I don't know your proper name yet," she said as she bowed her head slightly in greeting, then she remembered that she hadn't told him her name yet either and spoke again, "I am called Niniel."

((Oy, possibly if I knew that we had agreed to a scheduled training scession x.x))
"Of course, where are my manners?" he asked, bowing slightly. "They call me Pike Britcher. A simple name, I know, unlike the lovely Niniel."
Pike looked around the rooftop garden and back at Niniel. "You seemed to have quite the nack for beautiful things."
Forest flew over head and landed in an open area. And you seem to have a nack for being distracted by women,[/color] Forest said, looking at Pike. He bowed his head slowly at the elf and looked back at Pike. There's training going on in the courtyard. I just saw Eragon and the young one you had some words with last time. Eragon already has problems with you, let us not cause more.
Pike dropped his head and stuck out his tongue. "Right right, can't miss out on training, can we?" Pike searched through one of the bags on Forest's back and pulled out a long bow and a pack of arrows. "Ah, Niniel, this is Forest. Forest, this is Niniel."
Pleased to meet you. Now, can we leave?[/i] Forest took off into the air without an answer, the rope lowering down in front of Pike.
"Of course. Would you care to join us, Niniel?" Pike wrapped the rope around his hand and pulled himself up slightly. He held out his arm and offered it to Niniel.

So the rider's name was Pike; an odd name, but it did kind of suit the man. His attempts at flattering Niniel only made her smile because they were amusing to her. It would take quite a bit of persuasion among other things to ever make her fall for a human.
Pike's dragon landed nearby and seemed to be just a little frustrated with Pike's flirting as well, maybe also just a bit amused like herself. She bowed when the dragon, Forest greeted her.
Pike offered his arm to her as he grabbed the rope. Niniel cocked her head to one side, considering the offer. Then smiled as she stepped forward and took his hand.

Pike smiled and pulled the elf towards him. "Take us up, Forest!" Pike shouted. The rope began to pull up and took them up towards Forest quickly as he slowly flew forward. Pike grabbed Forest's spike and pulled him and Niniel up. "Now, where to?"
Just hold on tightly now,[/i] Forest said, moving a little faster. It's not too far away, but I don't want to have to stop to catch any falling creatures.[/i]
They flew forward until they saw a group of dragons in the courtyard. "I suppose that'd be them, huh?"
