Laetri felt bad at treating Rukia so mean. Sighing, he said,"I'm sorry for being so rude. But I really cannot give you a dragon egg. And even if I could we aren't sure it'll hatch for you. Start again." gently. He looked at her concerned. What would she do now? He sighed and that's when he fell to the floor.
He trisd opening his eyes but to no avail. The Shade.. he thought groggily remembering the Shade he had encountered. It must have poisoned him somehow. His mind was surrounded in darkness, he was unable to move. That's when the pain started. He started shaking, his body thrashing. Agaravel was alarmed. She nudged Rukia to do something. She plopped Laetri and Rukia on her back then tensed
......
WHOOSH
Her wings beat frantically she quickly flew to a city she saw with a large mansion. She hoped Rukia knew people there. The Elves were too far for her to get there in time. She began roaring in annoyance that she couldn't help her partner. She could watch his back but not heal him.. she landed heavily, and walked quickly to the mansion.

Rukia was shocked to hear the elf apologize to her and she couldn't help feeling more than a little disappointed that she couldn't have a dragon egg. 'Just your luck, Kuchiki' she thought sourly. She cast her eyes around the forest, thinking of another wish. What else did she want more than anything in the world? Renji, she wanted him back. But was that within the elf's abilities?
Just as she was about to ask the elf a question, he slumped to the floor, unconscious. Alarmed, Rukia got up and went to him, attempting to shake him awake. Laetri started convulsing before Rukia and she was terrified. What was happening? Was he in pain? His dragon quickly joined his side and nudged Rukia. Rukia frantically checked the elf's breathing and temperature, trying to figure out what was happening. Was it magic? Her brow furrowed in confusion, she didn't know anything about magic!
Without hesitation, the dragon plopped her Rider and Rukia on her back and flew off without warning. Rukia cried out in panic, trying to steady herself and the elf on the dragon's back. Rukia closed her eyes shut in an attempt to block out the dizziness, keeping Laetri's thrashing head safely in her lap. She only wished the dragon would land soon...
The dragon landed unstably and Rukia struggled not to fall out of its back. She glanced around quickly, taking in her surroundings. Wait, this was the middle of Teirm and the Kuchiki Mansion was right in front of her...
Without a second thought, Rukia jumped off the dragon, carrying Laetri across her shoulders, who wasn't as heavy as he looked, Rukia ran towards the main gate. The dragon followed her lead, roaring, attracting the attention of the people in the town Center. Laetri had stopped thrashing around but still vibrated forcefully on her back. Rukia only hoped she could get help in time...
The servants spotted their young mistress, dirty and tattered with an injured elf on her back and quickly opened the Main Gates to let her pass. Rukia burst in and rushed the elf into the closest room to the right. Quickly, she took him off her shoulders and laid him down as gently as possible on the carpet. The dragon could not come in because of its sheer size and was forced to watch from the bedroom window.
Rukia could sense the anger, fear, and pain emanating from the dragon and Rukia's own worry wouldn't allow her to think straight. Quickly, grabbing a piece of cloth and wetting it with water from the bathroom, Rukia tried to cool Laetri's head. She honestly didn't know what else to do.
"Don't worry, I'll get you help. Don't you worry," She said aloud more to the dragon, who was pacing outside, agitated than her Rider.
The door swung open. Rukia whipped her head around to find her older brother standing in front of the door, watching the entire scene. Rukia went pale.

Laetri attempted to look around him but while he attempted to open them his eyelids just continued fluttering. He could feel the poison through his body, for some reason spreading around his whole body except for the heart. That's when he realized that the spirits in the Shade were attempting to take his body as a host. He began fighting with renewed strength, thrashing everywhere, the violent movement causing him to almost tip off. He felt his eyes shutting, his breath becoming shallow. Was this his end? Oh well.. he stopped his resistance and began seeing memories.
It was back when he was stilla only twenty years of age. He was practicing to use a sword and he had twirled around, almost striking a man passing by. He had apologized and continued training just to find the man offering advice. After awhile, the man left and he had continued his training.
His mind slipped again, back to when he had returned, just to find his house destroyed and his mother slaughtered by the Forsworn. He had wept for hours there, holding the blood drained hand of his mother. That was when he remembered her words and had opened the box containing Agaravel's egg. Then his mind swept away back to oblivion.
Agaravel stamped her feet angrily for not being able to help her partner of mind and heart. As Rukia's older brother entered Rukia's already pale skin seemed to pale even worse. Agaravel just then realized the mess they had put Rukia in. She quickly connected her mind to her older brother's and said,"Please do not blame Rukia. It was our fault but please help my Rider."

Watching her brother's glare of contempt, Rukia held Laetri's thrashing head closer in an attempt to protect him from his cold violet eyes. Rukia stared into Byakuya's eyes attempting to communicate the danger that the elf was in. But, as expected, Byakuya made no move to help or threaten his adopted sister and the elf in her arms. Panic was rising within Rukia now as she realized that Laetri didn't have that much time left...
Just as she was about to beg for help from her indifferent brother, she saw a change come over his features. His usual cold expression was gone and replaced by an expression resembling shock and bewilderment. Rukia watched, surprised, as his eyes widened and his lower lip quivered with astonishment. She looked around her, quickly, trying to discover the source of his shock and was startled to see the Dragon gazing intensely at her brother. "Could they be communicating?..." Rukia thought to herself. She didn't dwell upon it long as her brother soon spoke.
"Rukia..." Rukia turned her head quickly to see her brother gazing intensely at the elf. His expression was indifferent but she could see the sparks of interest in his deep violet eyes.
"Brother, I..." Rukia started hesitantly but was stopped by Byakuya just walking straight out of the door. Rukia stared in shock, was he really going to let this elf die in their mansion? Laetri needed help, now!
Forgetting her pride and everything that followed the Kuchiki family name, Rukia shouted at her elder brother angrily. "BROTHER! You can't leave now! He needs help! This elf needs help now, can't you see?! And, look! His dragon's outside too! She's in pain as well! You have to help them, Brother! You can't let him die here!" Rukia's anger at this injustice was rising and she watched as her elder brother raised one Kuchiki eyebrow at her behavior. She couldn't even care. "BROTHER! You have to help this elf! I can't let him die here, I can't! Listen to me, Brother! He's been so kind to me, when I was alone and depressed in the forest! You can't let him suffer any longer! Not after all the kindness he's shown your sister!" Rukia's voice shook at that last word, it probably meant nothing to him. "You can't!"
Rukia watched anxiously with bated breath as Byakuya looked at her with that same infuriating calm expression. Slowly, he nodded, almost unnoticeably. Rukia exhaled with relief and gently smoothed the hair away from Laetri's sweaty face. "It will be alright, Laetri. My brother will get you help," she spoke to the elf gently as Byakuya disappeared between the walls of the Kuchiki mansion to find a healer to save the Rider's life.

Laetri heard nothing and saw nothing of what was happening. His breathing was turning heavy and scarce. There was a moment he saw nothing, heard nothing. Then he stopped breathing. He continued to struggle though that only worsened it but in the end he got a small slip of air with the help of Agaravel. He felt the healer attempting to put something in his mouth but he was unable to do anything. He tried to open his parched lips but failed. He tried to whisper to them his need of water yet he failed to do so.
That was when he realized the cause of the poison. The seizure was the poison, and where did the seizures come from. He never met a Shade except for... That must be it! When he warded Agaravel against the Shade's blade he must have received the damage. That meant that if he removed his wards from Agaravel, he would continue his life normally but Agaravel would no longer have wards and he would still have seizures from time to time.
"Little one, it is OK. Remove the wards, we will bypass the seizures together. I will live, I am stronger than what you give me credit. But after you remove the wards, take the medicine and the healing from them. Show them gratitude. Besides, you still need it."[/i] he heard Agaravel say through the shadowy mist. He had never tried to use magic without speaking but now was a must. He thought the idea and quickly removed the ward. After that, his lips suddenly opened a little and the liquid trickled into his mouth. Immediately he got better and was able to open his eyes. He tried to sit up but fell back down groaning. He looked at Byakuya, then Rukia his charcoal grey eyes saying what he couldn't; gratitude.
