We should get a major plot going. Or maybe a side plot. Whatever interests you guys. So lets plot. What do you guys want to do? Another big battle maybe? A new discovery? The people of the north launching an invasion? New quests?

I kind of like the idea about having the people of the north sending a scouting party to attack someplace like Terim that both Varden characters and Empire characters will want to protect. The scouting party though should be big enough that both Varden and Empire characters will have to begrudgingly work together if they want to save the town, but small enough that it won't completely overwhelm the defenders.

We've just had a big battle, so maybe not another one so soon. Could it have something to do with the site's big main plot, the witchy wild dragony thing?

sure we can hold off an any big battle for a while. And maybe the battle with the north can be put on the back burner for a bit until more time has gone since our last battle.
and yeah we could do something with that. Any specific ideas for it?

Er, not really... perhaps some sort of introduction to the plot. No massive battle, but something weird could happen that would let people know something was up that will let people have fun with the plot outside a big huge main battle thing. Possibly the start of some ongoing problem? The dragons/witches could start using some chaotic magic, that sorta thing.

I figured while events in the north was moving apace we would have several skirmishes, Like over the smaller towns the empire has left, And also smaller versions of the battle of the burning plains.

I suppose that the events from the north starting to affect Alagaesia will create confusion and people might get pissed at each other, so fights would probably break out all over the place. What if people started being possessed as the witches tried to pick off important people by getting those they least suspect to attack them? That could get interesting/fun. Confusion, panic, people attacking their friends, not being able to tell if someone was possessed or not, that sort of thing. For example, William is an important member of the Varden, so evil person possesses Isrydia and gets her to attack him.

That sounds good but I would think William would be a better target for that since he's not a dragon rider, But ether way works for me....
((Everytime I see this thread I think of Achievment hunter Lets plays....))
Leeeettttts plot!

Hmmm maybe the dragon witches and their chaotic magic could do something that has an effect on dragons, since they are part dragon they should have some knowledge of dragon biology? Something that effects their mind, magic, etc and if the dragon has a rider the negative effects could flow through the bond and effect them as well?

That sounds good, plus it makes sense! They could target Riders through their dragons, and have their dragons go rampaging or something.

Eeee. I love plotting. I was trying to have a think about how best to go about the witches and what they were actually going to end up doing... D: I had a few flunky ideas, but I had thrown this (http://www.argetlamrpg.proboards.com/thread/1329/open-old-blood-new-magic) up to kind of give a basis.. The dragon Odin (and any others that anyone fancies playing..) can now fully, consciously use magic because of Graen'dal's magic. I suppose the dragons could prevent the dragons of Alagaesia using their magic - which may well stop them from being able to bond with their riders/communicate with them/breathe flame or indeed, DRAGON RAMPAGE! ) But so as not to make any of these guys too over-powered (playable characters?) I think we have to limit them somehow. The new magic the witch uses requires sacrifice and suffering to work (starvation, sacrifice, simulating drowning, starvation..that kinda good stuff ) . The Witch can manipulate the worship of any idol (in this case, Odin being worshiped by the Norsemen to the north!) to build up power reserves. She discovered worship of a powerful idol was the strongest of these. So they're limited to how many followers they have x]. Does that make sense, more importantly do you guys like? Plus we need to get over the problem of know one in Alagaesia having any idea what is going on.. x] What of a search party sent from the Varden and Empire? Could spend some time investigating the new area, finding what we want with it and having witches, dragons and vikings milling about and causing mischief x]

I like the sound of this, but stopping a dragon's magic entirely would prevent them flying, since they need magic to help them fly because they're so huge they'd just plop out the air unless their wings were like the size of a city or something. There definitely needs to be a limit, otherwise the dragons would be falling out the sky all over the place.
Leaving everyone to be confused for a while would be fine, since it'd take everyone a while to just figure out where it is they have to look. When they do figure out where to look, the witches might sort of play with and torment the search parties, and they might have to try and join together because yay friendship.

LEEEEEEETTTTTS PLOT!
Ok, So has anyone played WoW? Or Warcraft III The frozen throne?
Because What with Williams recent possession I could easily see him following the self destructive path of arthas.
Just like the Original Lich king made Arthas his pawn, Maybe we could make William the Witches pawn,

Never played WoW so I don't get that comparison, but I understand what you mean. I think witches might well possess William, but I don't think he'd be their main pawn. They'd go after someone more famous and with more power right now - so probably someone from the Empire, since they're in control.
OR... Eragon hasn't been seen in a while... It would work nicely if we resolved his absence by having the witches start controlling him. He's one of the most powerful people around, too, as probably the most important Varden member after Nasuada. Plus, he holds a lot of influence outside the Varden, unlike a lot of the Varden, since he's seen as a great hope as the first of the new Dragon Riders, so most people trust and respect him.

Quetzal, I love you. That is an ingenious idea and OH MY GOD I CAN'T RP ERAGON TO SAVE MY LIFE D: And no reason they can't have more than one thrall, Nandon Mayhap they could enthrall people; say that's how they get the majority of their forces by enthralling Warlord Norsemen. Controlling them. With Grae'n'dal's feat with Odin - kind of having him bonded to her - maybe she can enthrall dragons too? Taking a BOMB of energy and such and leaving them inactive for a while of course so they don't just steal all the riders. :X. But that sounds good. I think maybe Eragon is captured, takes a while to break and enthrall him being powerful- then kind of goes back to the Varden remembering nothing. A kind of ebil seed planted! x] And maybe Odin the dragon and the Witches kidnap Saphira? I find the idea of a dragon being the captive of dragons an interesting scenario to RP.

Sounds like a plan! They could let Eragon and Saphira return as if nothing had happened, then kidnap Saphira and make her and Eragon go an a rampage when they are reunited I don't know how well I could play Eragon, but I could apply to RP him unless someone else desperately wants to

I would request to rp eragon but I already have Brenton. What happens with Arts if Dragon returns...would Brenton have to step down or something?

Actually Yes, In medevil times in Erupoe If a king had a son, even if a daughter was older, The son would take the throne, Which lead to many rulers sometimes being below 10 when they took the throne, In that case a reagent would take over power, Which is basicly what brenton is right now.
Since the elves place no value on whether or not the heir is male or female it would simply go by who was the oldest, Which would be arya, So that would make Brenton the acting Reagent untill she returns.
And yes, I love medevil times so I am very familiar with it.
