Hi- err, community. It's nice to meet you all. My name is Nik and I'd like to join along, if that's a'right with everyone else. I'm not entirely certain what else to put here, or even if I'm sticking anything into the correct thread. Yikes.

A bit about myself, I suppose. I'm 21, as of April this year. I've been actively roleplaying since I was about sixteen, though ten if you count Neopets. I was an administrator for a Harry Potter forum for two years. It's complicated to call it a forum, though. We had a forum, of course. But the medium of roleplay was through a server'd game called Neverwinter Nights. I'm not certain if any of you would know what that is, or honestly whether it's even still running. I haven't been back in several years. I just started my first year of law school, which is pretty exciting for me. Only four more years till I have to take the Barr exam. I'll be a little busy around finals time, but other than that I'm fairly dedicated to any roleplay that I get myself into. My favorite color is yellow and my favorite flower is a sunflower, for quite the same reasons. I like long walks on the beach and stargazing. 

Other than that, err... Honestly, I don't know what else to say. If I missed anything, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll be scouring the forum now in order to apply for making a new character. Thanks in advance for your hospitable welcome.

Welcome to Argetlam Nik! Seems like you might be able to teach me a thing or two, as I am starting at sixteen years myself. You are in the right forum of course, and from the look of it you're going to do just fine. But since I'm in a sour mood, I'm going to force you to do something extraordinarily horrible. I'm going to force you to have fun. I know, it's disgusting, can't believe we are still allowing that around here, what kind of a country allows fun? Imagination? (Extreme sarcasm initiated.) But in all seriousness it's great to have you, and I look forward to any future interaction we have together!

Let me tally what I understand. Up from your first word to 'Only four more years til..' that sentence I understood, but anywho/anywhy/anyway, welcome! I'm William though most of these peeps know me as Vlaer, first off, this is rather different than the Inheritance Cycle books' series, read the Chat Box as I've posted any information you may need. Also, this is the right forum you came to. Unless of course you're strict about the roleplay being the exact same as the book, as we have added many new races and this site wasn't out til after Brisingr yet before Inheritance. Any more info required, message me or anyone else or just shout out in the Chat Box. Have fun!

Hi, Nik! Law school, eh? You smart person you. I hope you have a lot of fun with that! It's great to see you here, this is just about the only Eragon RP site I've seen that is active. As Vlaer said, our plot is very different, in that we started around the end of Brisingr but went in a different direction to Inheritance. The Varden have taken a lot of the Empire, but not Uru'baen, and there are Riders all over the place because hey, everyone wants to make a Rider character, right? If you have any questions, just ask! We really ought to make a proper timeline or something so we don't lose track of where we are.

Anyway, I like stargazing too. I would try learning more about constellations and stuff but eh, effort. Stars are pretty. I like thinking about the physics behind them, too.

I used to play on Neopets too! That was years ago though. I've never heard of Neverwinter Nights, but sounds like you had a good run on that site!

Law school? nice. I had to take a law class about copyright once, it's pretty intense and a lot to remember and learn. Good luck when finals roll around, those certainly can take a toll on roleplay time!

That sounds amazing walking on a beach and stargazing. I wish I could do that but there are no beaches where I live.
