PLOT;;
A long time ago, Eragon Shadeslayer, a mere lad, was fighting with a cousin of his: Roran. Roran, of course, being older, beat the youngster easily - they were only a few years apart, however. Roran was an exceptionally good fighter, but, life on a farm didn’t promote sparing exactly so they were good considering the circumstances.
As time past, Eragon was destined himself to the Spine, and had a sapphire-colored egg, Saphira. The dragoness and the boy bonded slowly but steadily then eventually he met up with Brom, a Varden Ex-rider. The ex-rider helped the boy learn magic and taught him to fight - properly. As time past, Eragon wielded his “inheritance”, Zar’roc, the Blade of Misery. Little did the lad know, however, this blade was the Forsworn’s leader’s blade: Morzan’s, the father of Murtagh and Eragon. As time past, the young rider became to become very skilled in swordsmanship.
Eragon and Brom were learning more and more about each other every single day - and Saphira’s knowledge was expanding, too.
A few months past, then the war with Eragon and all occurred; Eragon had found out so much. Then, he was sent to Oromis, the rider of Gleadr, where he was taught vastly. Even though Eragon was learning, a few faults were occurring of course. Gleadr and Saphira were becoming closer, and Saphira was exploring the golden dragon’s knowledge, learning a lot of old secrets.
But, the time came: the Battle of the Burning Planes. Everyone knew - aye everyone - knew this would be a tough match, but the winner wasn’t obvious if at all. Angela, the herbalist, and her werecat, Solembum, were playing a very large role in the battle. Angela was casting spells on the Imperials, trying to injure many - and succeeded in some, actually; however, they needed her also to cure people so she did.
Solembum fought very fiercely in the battle, however, which surprised many; Solembum usually cared only of himself. However, Murtagh, after taking his rightful inheritance from his brother - Eragon - glared at the werecat and he and Thorn approached the werecat angrily, preparing to kill him. Solembum screamed for help, but no one heard him: Thorn sent a jet of flames toward the poor helpless werecat, and Murtagh diced him in half.
The herbalist was too far away to know. Eventually, one of the Surdans actually found the helpless werecat and immediately told Angela. Angela was devastated. The herbalist went directly to the Shur’tugal, hoping to kill him - however, his dragon was behind Angela and she didn’t know; the dragon devoured her alive. Nice set up, Thorn mused happily.
The winner of the war was never really decided.
Eragon, later, went to Meona Tree as he was directed, where he found a sapphire blade. Saphira giggled with joy. Of course, the dragoness feared what her rider may do: Attempt to fight his brother, and of course he did decide that.
Eragon Shadeslayer and Murtagh had a harsh fight. Eragon merely requested his brother come, though he gave naught a reason - surprisingly the other rider obeyed. They dueled for hours, The Blade of Misery against Eragon’s sapphire blade; Thorn and Saphira weren’t giving up so easily. Thorn was full of energy, Murtagh having plenty, however Eragon was running low and as was Saphira.
Eragon had no desire whatsoever to lose, however, so he cast a powerful spell that blinded his opponent and left immediately. Thorn and Murtagh retreated to the Empire; no one won their little duel, no one lost, either.
Eragon ventured to Du Weldenvarden, and then he saw Arya. Arya wouldn't talk to him, but yet, he saw a symbol on her hand. It looked like the gedwëy ignasia , but he couldn't tell. Ignoring that, he went to an elf lord, and asked where Oromis was. To his dismay, he found that Oromios, the elf rider, dead. His golden dragon, suffered his fate. When they found Oromis, there were four eggs with him. They all assumed they were the golden dragons, but no one was sure. Finally he forced Arya to talk. The truth was, she was a Rider, and her dragon was emerald-colored; it was named Aiedail, the morning star.
The eggs were stolen by the an Imperial Rider. No one was sure, but Eragon assumed it was Murtagh. Later on, he was made aware it was Murtagh. The elves were not sure how to react, but Arya and Eragon did. The two tried to get Aiedail and Saphira pregnant. For two months, they tried, and finally: Saphira was pregnant.
A year after Saphira was pregnant, she gave birth to five eggs. Arya was becoming closer to Eragon, and they decided to leave Du Weldenvarden - and the Varden! They left Alagaesia, with the five eggs with them. Eventually, Arya and Eragon had two twins.
Murtagh wasn't a threat anymore. Only his knowledge would be the threat, nothing more. Murtagh of course, was becoming old; his Ancient Language memory was fuzzing up. Galbatorix was becoming angry - the eggs wouldn't hatch. The king was thinking of may be tampering with them, thus making them go to who he chose. But, Murtagh refused to let him. Murtagh lived his life, wondering where Eragon and Arya were, wanting revenge, and wanting the Varden to fall and perish under the Empire’s wrath.
Eragon and Arya remained secluded throughout their lives until the day of a battle against the Varden made its way around. The two riders, considerably older now, were invited by the Varden to meet the leader and discuss strategies.
The war happened and Eragon became fatally wounded by his brother, Murtagh. The rider departed in shame and the following morning, Eragon died along with Saphira who luckily had five eggs to keep her legacy going. Heartbroken, Arya returned to the twins and tended them until they were each seven before she passed away from losing the will to live.
The Empire and Varden kept their separate ways until a new age of riders emerged; five eggs were given to five riders, and the dragon riders continued to make a comeback, some for the Varden others for the Empire, and currently none neutral.
And the way goes on. And on. No power on Alagaesia is enough to end this.
