Murtagh frowned slightly when the ancient Eragon spoke of him and Eragon playing a large role in the future. How was that supposed to be good news for him. As it currently stood Galbatorix held control over him and that meant destruction for their enemies. Perhaps he meant something different though. While he hated having to answer to the king like a dog, he enjoyed the power he had maybe he'd get more power or-
A laugh filled the air, an amused but sick laugh as another ghost appeared. It was a man riding a large red dragon. Murtagh seemed to go pale when he saw the man, and Thorn bared his teeth seeming to have grown more protective of his rider now. "No...not you," he whispered to no one in particular. He wanted to run, to flee but he couldn't. He knew his father would not allow that nor could he afford to look weak in front of so many enemies. He clenched his hands into fists as he tried to strengthen his resolve and hold his ground.
Morzan approached at a fast pace drawing a ghostly sword that looked like Zar'roc. Jumping from his dragon and landing in front of Murtagh he swung the sword at his neck stopping at the last second so the ghostly blade was barely not touching his skin. The dragon circled and then landed behind Morzan, he glanced at The Nameless One growling defiantly at him.
Murtagh looked near panicked but held his ground not moving a muscle as his father swung the blade at him. "Hello...father," he said his voice more steady than he thought it would be. Morzan lowered the blade. Having seen Eragon unable to hug Brom he hadn't thought the sword could harm him but the fear had still crept over him. "Not bad," Morzan said seeming pleased his son hadn't flinched when he'd attacked. "Murtagh, a rider now and for my old friend. Not bad," he said not sounding overly impressed but more a slight tone of disappointment. It had always been like that it seemed, at least as a ghost his father couldn't get drunk and go into a rage and hurt him. But this was not what he wanted to see. Galbatorix probably had hoped Morzan would show up.
The Nameless One though much smaller than Morzan's dragon returned the growl glaring at the red dragon as though demanding it's respect. He didn't expect it to submit but he wouldn't back down either.

((Sorry for the long delay, and sorry for the relatively short post))
In her exhaustion, Farore could barely register what Isrydia told her. "It's a long story. The guy that I was chasing turned out to be another ghost, as well as a rider, like Brom. Except, unlike Brom, he seemed to have gone completely insane as he attacked me as soon as I managed to catch up to him." She told Isrydia before stopping as she notice another ghost begin to manifest itself.
It seemed to be another rider and dragon, one's who gave Farore a very bad feeling, and whose attention seemed to be on Morzan. She then notice him begin to draw his blade, with instinct immediately telling her to draw her own. A sharp pain through her arm though reminded her of her injured sword arm, which, along with her exhaustion, forced her to just stand and watch as the ghost swung his sword down on Morzan. However, instead of cleaving the Empire Rider like she expected it to, the sword went through the boy without leaving a mark. This surprised Farore a bit as she thought back to her battle with the figure from earlier, knowing full well that his sword was real.
"Who is he?" She asked Isrydia with anger in her voice that seemed to ignore her exhaustion or injuries. Farore could feel a deep-seated hatred for this man, and it's not for the prank he had just pulled on his son. She knew this man. She didn't knew from when or where. Yet this ghost has done something so horrible that even though she didn't remember him that, ghost or not, she had the erge to turn into a dragon and eat him where he stands.

((Oops, I intended to post ages ago then sort of forgot. I'm a bit out of the flow of this thread too so I'm sorry about that))
Isrydia, the Eragons and their dragons looked up, pleased to see Brenton returning. They quickly looked at the new ghost as he arrived. Isrydia and Arlyn watched without recognition, but Murtagh certainly seemed to know him. She was surprised at how the tiredness seemed to be gone from Farore's voice when she asked who the man was. She could hear a deep hatred there, something which clearly couldn't be just from a first impression. How did Farore hate this ghost without knowing who he was? "I have no idea, but Murtagh called him father. I think I knew who his father was, it was someone pretty well-known..." she'd heard all sorts of rumours about the Empire's Champion, and a few regarded his father. So far many of them had proved to be untrue. Some had claimed he was a kind of demon, his red dragon from Hell, and others had claimed he was secretly a monster of varying descriptions. He seemed like a normal human to her. He had even treated them reasonably despite their not being part of the Empire. She'd heard his father was Galbatorix, or this or that member of the Forsworn, or a stranger from a foreign undiscovered land, or that he had no biological father at all. Only one could be true, and she wasn't sure if any of these rumours could be trusted.
Eragon I and Bid'Daum recognised the man from the start, but kept quiet. They seethed with rage at what he had done, but remained peaceable. This situation could turn dangerous. Eragon II knew who it was when Murtagh declared him to be his father. This was the same man he was once believed to be his own father. "Morzan," he said softly but loud enough for those around him to hear. Saphira shivered and bared her teeth. Isrydia and Arlyn felt a chilling fear.
"Why do you show your face here?" Eragon I demanded of the other ghost. Bid'Daum glared furiously at Morzan's unnameable dragon. "How could you do this? The Riders were supposed to protect dragons, to show the people that dragons were and intelligent race and they could live in harmony! That is why we created this Order! Why did you disregard it so completely? You, dragon, especially, I can't believe how you turned on your own kind like this," he hissed angrily, letting everyone hear what he was saying. He and Eragon had every right to be angry; they began the Rider Order, and Morzan and his dragon helped end it.

((Yeah this is a blast from the past. God it even has Grazael still alive in it and Brenton without the cruxis crystal. Okay here goes nothing.))
Brenton felt Grazael land on the mountain top, having looked at the red dragon and ghost rider who had just arrived. He recognized them as Morzan and his unnamed dragon so the elf king snarled, jumping down from the saddle and drawing the blue blade Undbitr from its sheathe. He would run this shade through if it would do any good just to see the man die one more time but he couldn't do that. Morzan! Be glad you are already dead for if you weren't then I would kill you without a second thought. Treating your son the way you did is just pure evil and trying to kill my father afterwards. Oh wait, you were killed by your own blade driven by Brom so it's not like it would be a shock to you if a Bromsson killed you as well now would it you traitorous cowardly scum? Brenton's words came out with venom dripping from them as he glared at the ghost but then he felt strange, cold all of a sudden.
The reason for the cold feeling was revealed as Brom stepped beside him and looked at Morzan with interest. "You should have never come here, Morzan. Can't you see the way Murtagh is trying to bite back his own hatred for you or did you not know that he was treated so poorly outside of the Empire. Your name is cursed by all who are not cowed by the king, Galbatorix, and therefore Murtagh has to bear the brunt of the punishment. Treating him with this kind of disrespect is heartless and cruel, even for someone such as yourself. Yet my son should not have talked to you like that." The last sentence was said with a pointed look at Brenton as the ghost tried to make it clear that the name Brom meant nothing if soiled by hatred.

The wind tore at his hair viciously, its long alabaster strands flowing behind him with the company of his white shoulder cloak. He held tight to Starlight's ivory neck spike, his eyes suddenly widen and his brows furrowing out of disconcert. A unbelievably amount of emotions was passing through his body. The transformation had cause such a change in him, that the massive amount of emotions flowing from a particular mountain had given him a literal headache. He grasped his head intensely with a single hand, determined to hold tight to Starlight. Nepherion, what is this that throbs your head? Its a bit unbearable, even for me... He voiced urgently, the nobility mostly diluted from his voice. He struggled to keep his wings steady but did so with a great amount of effort. Ah, I see now, this is strange! We have to go Nepherion! His hand clenched the side of his face intensely, an emerald eye peeking through the spaces of his fingers. " Yea, I know Starlight." Was his pained response. Never had he felt such a confused and strong mess of emotions. It was unlike anything he'd ever encountered. Still though, Nepherion smirked through the pain. And here I thought we'd have a smooth return. He uttered mentally to his two dragon companions. Nothing is easy when it comes to you, little one. Your trials are as hard as Brojska's blade. chided Starlight as he pressed forwards through the harsh winds and towards the mass of emotions. Nepherion looked behind him inside of the ebony saddle, the pouch that carried Bid'Daum was surely on his waist, but his blade was laying in the back. He gripped hold of it and latched it on from the comfort of his sitting position. He hadn't believed he would need it for his homecoming but who was he to predict destiny. Of course, she would tease his tender soul with her vicious tasks. He was so preoccupied with preparing to face the force approaching that he had almost overlooked Bid'Daum's silence. " Bid'Daum?" He said, gently shooting his mind out towards the grand eldunari. When they had finally touched, he realized that the Dragon had barred itself up. He had ran into a impregnable wall, one that couldn't be overcome with even three or four Dragons and Riders. " Starlight, he's caged himself in. I'm not liking the way this going about. Let's hurry this up! Sail onwards!" He shouted hastily. The dragon and rider pair floated above the group, Starlight's stature only slightly large than Saphira's but still a bit smaller than Thorn's. Starlight let dark, charcoal like smoke drift from his jowls while Nepherion's body glowed a warm golden color. He was the transcended being that humans held the potential to reach. Amongst all the powerhouses down there; Eragon and Murtagh especially, he felt comfortably at home. What do you wish to do? Should we attack?, growled Starlight, his noble voice almost edging on the prospect of combat. Nepherion stared down with contemplation, his body taking in the emotions of the situation. Fighting Murtagh wasn't exactly something he wanted to do, specially when Bid'Daum had deemed it his napping time. His jaw tightened. He still had his neutral position to consider. He was what a Dragon Rider was suppose to be, what Eragon I had wanted from them. He couldn't pick sides. " We go down there and investigate. I'm sensing a few familiar minds. Starlight be on guard...just encase." He added in. Starlight let out a agitated growl that through the bonded translated into his disappointment for not getting to fight. Nepherion shrugged his shoulders, sometimes he forgot that the noble beast could have his childish moments. Starlight slowly came down, his crimson slants alit in the darkness as he came closer and closer to the ground. He landed with a tremor and Nepherion slung himself off the saddle with little effort. His hand rested on Brojska's handle, the white sheathed blade once belonging to a legendary warrior. He approached slowly, his hair falling to his back and yet his features seeming considerably more masculine than any elves. His steel armor gleamed with the light of the blue flames as he stepped, unknowingly, into the situation. " Tell me what's going on here..." He said, carrying the authority that the dragon riders had used when investigating. His emerald eyes shifted towards Eragon but he did not bow. His gaze shifted to Murtagh but he did not grimace. The others all got the same emotionless look. It was a matter of duty now, he reminded himself. He didn't have the luxury of letting his guard down with them. " Eragon Shadeslayer, as you can tell the situation is quite confusing to me. Mind explaining?"
