So a new race is in order right about now...just to mix things up somewhat.
Name: Rangers
Age: They are capable of living up to several hundred years, the oldest recorded to have been 895 years old.
Height: Males can get up to 6 feet and 3 inches tall if really lucky and Females only get to about 5 feet and 8 inches if really lucky
Weight: There is no definite range for them but rangers are hard to describe
Race: A Ranger is a breed formed after the elves were first arriving in Alagaesia and roaming for awhile. While it is true that Alagaesia had next to no creatures on their land, the country on the other side of the Hadarac was populated by many races. Many were humans or such but there were some that could not be defined and were very hard to find. The elves soon started to refer to these creatures as Fey or faeries in the human language. The Fey were a strange race, made of pure magic with little to hold them to the earth and more like a spirit than a mortal. Like the elves they resided in forests and rarely left to travel anywhere else so when an elf and a Fey crossed paths they fell in love and soon a breed was formed of half Fey and half elf but that was just the start. After that the race crossbreed began to develop and they branched out to come across dragon spirits and such, many of them ignoring them. Yet one Fey-elf fell in love with a dragon spirit without realizing who he was so she bore a child of that race as well. This race soon began to grow but once again that was just the beginning. When they were young, the Fey-elf-dragon spirits took off and ran across another breed like them, the werewolves. This was the last part of their lineage as one male fell in love with a female werewolf who never changed so he did not know she carried that gene. This crossbreed was born and soon became the Rangers.
Description: Standing tall in their own manner, a Ranger is lean with muscles that are hardened from necessary manners. None build like other races and therefore are not considered strong but they are strong in other ways. The Rangers are fair skinned with sharp teeth and feral eyes. Most of them have pointed ears and are often times able to shift into a half werewolf creature that is more draconic in manner. None of them have wings or scales but all of them get very shaggy fur coats and they all grow long tails with huge spikes along the length. Most are the same color as their natural hair and often times can be distinguished by that feature. Like their kindred spirits they are mainly magic in essence because let's face it, all of their ancestors were magical beings. Like the dragon spirits they must be a certain age to shift for the first time, 13 years old. A Ranger is agile and versatile in skills such as moving silently and unseen as well as using a bow and daggers. They can track and are fiercely loyal to their allies. All of them are seen as sorcerers and are rarely trusted but most are hidden assassins or spies for the Empire and a few serve the Elves still.
Attributes: Rangers have magic but don't use it except for the occasional healing spell or when they shift. They are insanely fast, and have the strength of a wolf.
