I know Im like hours early before its actually December but oh well. 
So Im gonna bring over one of my characters from another site. Probably retuned a bit. BEHOLD!
Why do you want a power-class: Well this would be my first one. Plus it was noted there is nobody that plays a shade.
What race are you aiming to play: Shade
Have you ever had a power-class race before: On this site? No. But I have plenty of experience on another site.
Roleplay sample (no more than 300 words): Gonna use a post I made in a thread back on Saphira Forums.
Kuja sighed at the appearance at Ella and Zeke. "You will not get in my way this time." A blade appeared in Kuja's hand from black smoke. With no warning he jumped high into the air blade in a position about to strike just as he was about to attack Ella ontop of Zeke, Kuja vanish almost instantly in black smoke.
Less than a second later he appeared behind Ka, kneeling low. Ka was completely oblivious to him. After making his blade vanish, Kuja made some hand signs. After he finished he lunged his right hand into the back of Ka, however it did not enter his flesh but into a void in his back. Kuja was able to drain a soul's power or even take it from the body completely. Obviously they needed him alive, so he began absorbing his energy. Kuja could feel Ka struggle, but Kuja made sure he couldnt move during this process.
After about a minute, Kuja removed his arm from him and kicked him towards Rathon.
"There shouldnt be much fight in him left, feel free to beat him around.. just dont kill him. We need to caputre all of them alive."

Preferred Weapon(s): Spellcasting, Rider's Sword:Blade is black with a large diamond in the hilt.
Appearance: Wears a mix of white leather armor and clothing. Only has metal armor for his hands, feet and a chestplate under his clothing. Has a sleek build for a body, but still very strong physically. His hair goes down to his upper back. Kuja has a rather pale complexion and due to his long hair, it was actually hard to tell if he looked human or elf in his host body.
Personality: Kuja usually carries a blank face and a calm demeanor. However this can change quickly once he engages a fight. Very cold blooded, shows no mercy or remorse. Shows no bias to who he kills, including women and children. Very stoic when it comes to his behavior. It is his belief that emotions are nothing more than a burden. Very intelligent and cunning.

History: The history of Kuja's host body is not really known. It is believed that he was a magic instructor for the riders long before the Fall. However this only can be speculated due to the fact that no memories of the host remains.
Kuja himself is a result of years of experimentation by Galbatorix in order to create an unstoppable soldier. An angel of death, if you will. After several years of trial and error, Kuja was one of the mad kings successful experiments. Not only a Shade, but probably the first Shade rider in history. Although it would be considered a perversion of an acutal Rider. The dragon that was given to Kuja was forced to hatch for him. Selris, the white dragon, was twisted and corrupted from being connected to Kuja. However as time passed, the pair had become a force to be reckoned with. There were even times when the dark king had trouble controlling the two because of how unstable they could be at times. So if Galbatorix wanted a place conquered, he would send his armies. If he wanted a place removed off the face of the earth, he would send Kuja.
Kuja has never had much of a personal life in serving the Empire. Despite the attempts by the king to help normalize his behavior. Wealth, fame, glory, love... these things meant nothing to him. Kuja really only spent his personal time with his nose in a book or scoll, or he would just spend his time catching up on sleep. Occasionally he was asked to train casters. It amused him to see humans struggle with such simple spells.
Kuja has no personal ambition other than to understand all aspects of magic. So he has been content testing his skills by serving over the years. However, it could be only a matter of time until Kuja turns against his master.
