Full Name: Tehrag Wyrdenson
Other name: none yet
Race: elf
Side: He sticks to the elven kingdom, whatever the leaders decide.
Birthplace: Ellesmera
Age: 119
Gender: male
Birthday: November 14
Eyes: Green
Hair: Blonde, thick, and wavy, it comes down to about his chin then it stops
Weight: about 200 lbs.
Height: slightly over 6' 6"
Magic User: Yes
Preferred Weapon(s): Kulistalri, his dragon rider sword. When he first found Topaz, he was given a piece of brightsteel by his father. He then tried to get Rhuenon to make him a sword but she kept her oath and refused. Another elf who had learned a little from Rhuenon consented though and his bright yellow blade came into existence.
Appearance: Tehrag's tall frame towers over most men. Despite his height however, his bright hair and cheerful features make him appear a friend to all. His bright eyes shine from beneath his mass of hair and his is set in an almost continuous half smile. He wears very plain clothing most of the time. Once he sang to a cotton plant and created a pure white mantle from the fibers, but he only wears this for special occasions. He does have a special armor that he created for himself though.
While meditating in the forest one day, he examined several types of beetles and especially their hard exoskeletons. From his discoveries, he desdesigned a set of armor with arching points on each shoulder and layered plates for extra protection covering the rest of his body. Each piece was designed to resist the most pressure possible. The finished product was a mixture of blues, greens, and purples like the beetles. He wears it for ceremonies.
Personality: Tehrag is kind and considerate of others though he can be harsh when roused. Like Tolkien's Ents though, it takes a great deal to rouse him. He is somewhat a loner although he likes to have one or two friends around most of the time and he always wants Topaz near by.
--->Likes: The sunlit forest and the rolling plains. He likes places where he can see what is around him. He loves flying because then he has even more space. He likes it when he sees others helping each other out and when he sees kindness in any setting.
--->Dislikes: Cheating, lying, and other underhanded ways. Whenever he sees someone doing something of this sort he usually takes care of them on the spot. His imposing frame leaves no room for argument. He doesn't like mountains or stone of any kind unless it is something beautiful to look at.
--->Strengths: Knows when to keep his mouth shut, at least for the most part. Excellent sense of hearing and keen eyes. He also has fast reflexes and is good with both sword and bow.
--->Weakness: Sometimes he becomes useless for several days on end because of his love for food and most importantly, sweets. That is his biggest weakness but another is that his sense of smell is very limited. He isn't a very good swimmer.
Family: His father was Wyrden, a spellcaster who went with Blodhgarm to defend Eragon. His mother's name was Laena but he never knew much about her.
History:
Not long after he was able to walk, Tehrag was left in the care of a wise old elf and the werecat that stayed with him. He grew up with very few cares in his life, learning various histories and biologies while studying the ancient language and the use of magic. The werecat taught him various ways to say things without actually saying them and the old elf taught him the rest. It was about this time, that the war of the riders came and all the elves trained with their weapons so they could protect their beloved forest. Tehrag sang a bow from a lofty yew tree and began to practice. He sang arrows from the limbs of the same tree and whenever he lost one, he would merely sing another out. He became fairly skilled with the bow and then took to the sword. With this weapon, he became an expert because he loved the feel of the blade whistling through the air. A broadsword was his favorite weapon and he spent hours of swinging the blade in imaginary combat or against one of his friends. He read books dedicated to sword play and tried all the tricks he could find. It was tedious work but he continued because he loved it.
When he had learned a great deal of what the old elf could teach him, Tehrag started out to find out who his parents were. He spent several years searching all of Du Weldenvarden for them and finally found his father when he was about 35 years old. He strayed with his father until he turned 40, training with him in magic and the dance of Snake and Crane. He then set out again and found his mother a day before she died from a terrible sickness. There was nothing he, or anyone else could do for her but he stayed by her side until her death. Before she parted from life, she gave him a yellow gem which she had filled with energy throughout her life and he eventually added it to the hilt of his sword.
His grief at his mother's death, though he had only really known her for a day, was so great that he ran deep into the forest not caring where he went or what happened to him. It was then, deep in the underbrush, that he found the egg. In a small clearing deep in a tangle of undergrowth, a beam of light played over the bright yellow shell. Tehrag looked at it and then moved slowly toward it. He raised it from the ground and stood transfixed by the feel and sight of this dragon egg, or so he assumed. He did not know how long he stood, motionless in the clearing, but he came wide awake when he realized that the egg was cracking. Placing the egg back in its previous position, Tehrag sat down a couple of feet away to watch.
Cracking the egg with its sharp eggtooth, the tiny dragon wriggled through the hole it had made and scrambled over to Tehrag. Tehrag was nearing his 60th birthday when he found this dragon and since that day the twoo of them have almost constantly been together. For the first few weeks, Tehrag had a dragon for a rider instead of the other way around. Topaz clung to his shoulders everywhere he went. Before long the dragon was much too large to continue this though and he instead scurried beside Tehrag wherever he went. It was during this time that his father gave the bright steel to him.

The two of them decided it would be best, after what the riders had done, to keep hidden for awhile, away from Galbatorix and from any other great entity. They hid so well that Wyrden, Oromis, Rhunon, and one other elf who made his dragon rider blade, were the only ones who even really knew they existed. Deep in the forest, Tehrag and Topaz trained and studied. They fought each other to gain strength and cunning and they both increased in skill and strength. Topaz did not have as much arial strength as could be hoped for but they were both stout fighters and Tehrag thought they could keep their own.
For nearly 45 years they stayed peacefully within the depths of the forest, but when Tehrag heard, from a flock of birds, of the death of Islanzandi, he immediately decided to try to return to civilization. He packed all he had and traveled back to the cities of the elves and offered his services to Brenton.
