The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword

I have spent weeks thinking about what I want to do with my life and came to a decision. Right now I'm typing this from my phone and near tears as I write. For the past six months or so I have battled with life and pulled many desperate moves from my hat like Brenton. Life has kicked me and spat on me but still I've returned to Alagaesia as great heroes such as Arathale or Tashiel. All of the time I've been working on my own legacy in the world.

Many wars were fought in the land of elves and I created a life for someone who had a rocky start in life. Killed many people such as Vaentr but always I remembered them fondly. When I came to the point in Brenton's life where he had lost Vaentr and was rejected by Isrydia I knew my life was winning the war. But then he became king and got Grazael, leaving his past behind him.

Finally I thought Brenton had found peace until he broke down and created the cruxis crystal that changed his life forever. He had met Rella and was forgiving Brom as well as Drayden for their mistakes. Yet he was driven mad by the crystal and Grazael was killed protecting Arlyn.

That moment defined Brenton and was what made me realize that it was time to move on entirely. I have spent a long time dedicated to the site and became assistant admin but my life has won. I want a family that can be proud of me for who I am so I have to get my life together.

Brenton helped me even though I didn't realize it and now it is time for me to help myself. I have books to write that keep being put off because I'm distracted and I have to get back into shape. There's so much I have to do but I will always remember the site that made me who I am. Maybe one day soon I'll return with book prices for you all so you can see what I'm doing in life. I'm sorry friends but it is just that time.

Good luck, Brenton. I hope your extra focus on writing brings you success. If you ever want to run any ideas by me, or get some constructive criticism regarding anything, I'll be here. I hope you can update us on what you're doing from time to time, as well. I promise if you do choose to get me to read anything I will be entirely honest with you. I'm sure others here would do the same!

EDIT: May I also ask what should happen to all your characters now? Especially Brenton, he had a big part in everything.

*sigh* I'm going to check in at least once every couple weeks to see what's going on. Any majorly important things I will post for such as plots that involve my characters. This isn't permanent just until I get the books done. Could be six months from now but I am going to stay semi semi active for the site's sake

I completely understand. I have such a character myself on another site who did the same thing for me as Brenton did for you and I made the same choice as you. But I'm still here because I missed it and found the balance I needed. It's a hard choice but one everyone has to face eventually. I'll miss seeing you around here as often and I hope you have a good life. =)

They're about post apocalypse where the world is rebuilding with three factions; Empire, Rebels, and Resistance. Basically there's espionage, war, death, anarchy, betrayal, romance, and a lot of government experimentation.

Brenton was never meant to be so much like myself and so I didn't foresee this but I swear I'll be here as long as I can handle life.

Okay I talked to my co-author and he agreed to carry most of the writing as long as I get the four chapters I am behind and get all of my notes to him. So what was about six months has now turned into a couple weeks at absolutely most.

Awesome! We understand if your activity goes down in general even after that, of course. My friend wrote a book once and she had to deal with all sorts of editing and publishing things even after she'd finished writing it.
