Farore gave a slight frown as she heard that parts of the Varden knew of Auduriel's hatchling. That could complicate matters quite a bit. Once the higher ups learn about this, it is likely they'll sit her out of battles, or put her on missions demeaning of her talent in order to ensure the hatchlings life. It's like how the classic saying goes, 'Don't put all you eggs in one basket.' Especially if one of your eggs contain a baby dragon inside of it. And that's not even mentioning if any Empire spies hear about this. Auduriel may be strong, but it could prove easy for the Empire to find a way to control her.
Farore then looked up at Auduriel with a smug grin as the elf called her clever, "Well it's a part of the job. If I'm not being clever, then people I care for die. And as you may expact, that is something I wish to avoid." She told Auduriel before thinking of something.
"Look, I understand that you don't trust me. Afterall we've only met once before, and that meeting went horrible awry." She said, taking on a much more serious tone, "But please understand that I do want to help you. Your a talented swordsman, and I know you'll one day become a great rider. Just... Try to stay alive, okay?" Farore had a hunch that Auduriel would believe that the last statement went without saying, but the Dragon Spirit still said it. Farore had to bury to many people in her life, and she didn't want to see the elf become one of them.

She'd be a great rider someday? Auduriel didn't care about that. She didn't want that- she had never wanted to be a rider, let alone a "great" rider. But she wouldn't let Farore know that- she simply forced a smile onto her face and nodded. Before she responded, she made sure that her expression was stoic once more. "And why exactly do you want to help me?"
The sound of scratching could be heard, and a few of the plants on the wall fell to the ground on Auduriel's head. She scowled, glancing up to see what had caused the foliage to fall. The hatchling was atop the wall, her dark scales almost completely camouflaging her in the shadows. The hatchling spread her wings, slowing her fall. She first landed on her hind legs, and stood up on her hind two for a moment, almost like a bear, before carefully lowering herself onto all fours. She cast a long glance at Farore before darting over to her rider's side.

"Why wouldn't I?" Farore retorted before deciding to give the elf a proper answer. "It's simple really. I just rather..." She began before cutting herself off as she heard a faint scratching sound.
The next thing she knew, some plants had fell off the wall and onto Auduriel's head. Farore did her best to stifle a small chuckle at the scene as she didn't want to anger the elf. She then glanced up to see a small dragon slowly decending to the ground. It seemed that someone had gotten curious about what her rider was doing, and had decided to investigate.
"Well it's nice to meet you young one. I suppose you must be Auduriel's partner. I'm Farore." She greeted the dragon in a friendly voice as she crouched down closer to the dragon's level. She hadn't expected to meet the dragon so suddenly, but it was a nice surprise none the less. Afterall it's not everyday you get to meet a hatchling.
Still the paranoid part of Farore's brain wondered if the dragon had been seen on it's way here, and if it had been followed. If so, it could spell trouble for the pair depending on who it was who had seen it. Not one to take chances, Farore extended her mind to quickly scan the area to see if anyone was heading their direction. She had doubts that anyone would be, but she had to be sure.

Auduriel allowed the dragon to crawl into her lap, and proceeded to glance at Farore once again. "Please do continue with whatever you were saying. I'm very interested in hearing your answer. So far, I've become rather tired of this conversation- you're really not giving me much reason to stay here right now."
The hatchling crawled out of her partner's lap, to look at Farore. She sniffed the half-elf, looking at her and circling her carefully. Auduriel continued on. "And I really do have no reason to trust you. You're a random person that I met on the street. For all I know, you might be an Empire spy or an assassin or something, trying to glean as much information as possible. Unlikely? Sure. Possible? Of course."

Farore looked up at Auduriel with a small chuckle. "Your right. You don't have any reason to trust me, and I don't know what to say to make that any different. Hmm... How about..." Farore said before saying in the ancient language, "I'm not a spy or an assassin, but a friend."
Farore then looked down at the dragon circling around her. It made the dragon spirit happy to see the dragon's curiosity about her. Though she did wonder if the hatchling was able to notice her dragonic half. "As for what I was gonna say earlier. It's simply that I rather make allies then enemies. We share a common goal after all. Why wouldn't I want to help you if it proves to get us one step closer to ridding the world of that eggbreaker tyrant who calls himself king?"
