Appearance:
Amirya looks like the typical person who has lived in the wild for a long time. Although she occasionally washes her hair, for the most part, it's tangled and messy and usually not very clean. Her skin often has dirt on it, which she washes off whenever she comes to a river. Her well-worn clothes are often messy and have dirt on them. Usually, she'll wear men's clothing that doesn't quite fit her, and use her blanket as a cloak. A thick sheet of leather has been rolled together and fashioned into a makeshift armguard.
Her hair is a reddish brown color, especially in the sunlight- and when it's clean. Her eyes are a deep amber. Scars are present on her left arm, from bird talons, although they've mostly healed over.
Personality:
Amirya's personality has been shaped by her love of exploration. She loves finding new places and simply learning about them. She's often defensive about what she considers her "profession", and will often become rather rebellious when somebody tells her what to do, out of the simple desire to rebel. Amirya is a free spirit- she likes to do what she wants, when she wants to, and having somebody order her around is uncomfortable and oftentimes makes her unhappy. Amirya doesn't usually shy away from fighting if it comes to that, although she won't actively pursue it, either. This comes mainly from her sense of pride rather than a specific desire to fight.

History:
Amirya was born in Belatona to a wood sculptor and his wife. Her childhood was fairly average. Her mother taught her how to cook and do basic weaving, but she was never interested in it. Instead, the young girl preferred to be outdoors, exploring. The prospect of discovering new things excited her more than the future her parents planned of her getting married and bearing children. She'd occasionally be away from home at night, exploring and sleeping in some ruins in a forest close to her home.
This upset her parents, of course. He and her mother eventually forced her to remain in the home at all times, something that upset her greatly. Amirya became very rebellious towards her parents. While she was sixteen, her parents decided that they had two choices to combat this behavior- apprentice their daughter to somebody working in a profession acceptable for women to undertake, or arrange her marriage. They chose the latter, and went to work finding a young man whom would serve as an acceptable husband.
Amirya didn't know of this plan until her parents one day introduced her to the young man of their choice, whom was apprenticed to a jewelcrafter. She knew that getting married made it extremely unlikely that she'd ever be able to explore again. One day, she simply left. She broke down the door, after a night of pounding on it, and left with only a wool blanket, a knitted sweater, and a set of male clothing, so she could travel more unrestricted than with a dress. She disowned her parents, being so upset over this.
It was shortly before this that the dreams began. They started from tall trees, at first, glancing down at the ground so far below, yet feeling no fear. As time passed, this turned into flying. She could see that in these dreams, she was a bird, flying high over the landscape of Alagaesia. She never understood why, and never told anybody about them. Amirya assumed that these were dreams. They remained with her after leaving Belatona.
She travelled through the wilds of Alagaesia, exploring the plains, mountains, and forests for several months, uneventfully. Her clothes were often filthy, and she'd have to take them off to wash them- usually, she'd wash her blanket and clothes at different times, so that she could wear one while washing the other. When both were clean, she'd wear her blanket as a cloak instead. Her appearance suffered- she lost weight because of the lack of readily available food, and her hair was never very clean.
One day, everything changed. She was wandering the plains when a falcon dove down and snatched a smaller bird in its beak. The bird landed on the ground to eat it, but something was different. Amirya felt drawn to the bird, and approached it. The bird looked at her, too. The human leaned down to stroke its feathers, being awed by seeing the creature so close. The results shocked her.
She felt bloodlust, sudden bloodlust. That bird in the falcon's beak looked delicious, and she felt the urge to fly and hunt and gaze over the world and to simply be a bird. This scared her. The falcon seemed surprised as well- the smaller bird dropped from her beak and she could suddenly comprehend much more, and she knew much more. A mental conversation occurred, the strangest thing that the bird had encountered thus far. They were both extremely confused about what had happened.
The bird decided to dub herself Hellisphone, and accompanied the human on her adventures. Eventually, the falcon stole some leather from a city, which Amirya fashioned into a makeshift armguard for Hellisphone to land on. They continued exploring, and Amirya could see even more by looking through the falcon's eyes. They, at first, tried to figure out how they had ended up connected, but focused most of their attention on simply exploring and enjoying themselves.
Three months have since passed.
