Zeus bristled somewhat and told the half-elf "We are not idiots Brenton, we know the bigger dragon severely outmatches us. I hope as David does that Saphira and Grazael will, at the very least, discourage Deloi from trying anything. If he does, I feel they will help us succeed in subduing him" David then nodded and said out loud "Let us be off." He gave Zeus a pat and said mentally "Be careful." To which Zeus snorted and said "You be careful" The black dragon watched as his Rider and his friends left. He then turned to Auran and said "We best be on our guard" He then looked up at the bigger dragon and said to him "I would love to hear any pointers you may have.. as a experienced flier, you must have some. I for one have flown only once before, and didn't fly very far."
David spoke as he walked, one hand still on his sword's pommel. He knew Ryarion would not try anything, but that did not mean the rest of the town would not. He said "I for one, would like to hear the tale as well. Maybe I would have done okay without a Mentor, for a short time anyways, but I already know quite a lot about magic from my teachings from my father. Without any of those, I would have been as lost as Velathan was when Auran first hatched for him. With out Brenton, I doubt we would have made it this far. He has been to us as Brom was to Eragon." he offered Brenton a small smile of thanks.
