Full Name: Hadvir Fieldsson
Other name: none
Race: Human
Side: Empire
Birthplace: Bull-ridge
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Birthday: December 27th
Eyes: Light Brown
Hair: Brown
Weight: 225 lbs
Height: 5'8
Magic User: No
Preferred Weapon(s): Standard Empire Issued Lance, and short-sword and shield.
Appearance: Hadvir at first glance is an unimpressive everyday peasant. While not in battle for the empire, in the plated armor of the front-lines he is dressed in the same clothes always, unable to afford himself much more. This consists of a simple tan tunic, stained with dirt and worn by travel. Along with this he wears a pair of baggy pants colored a dark brown. Along with this he wears a simple pair of leather boots, comfortably worn in. Of course he wears undergarments under these, those do not need to be detailed however.
As for his actual body, he is a burly man, having worked in the fields as a farmer all of his life, he is quite strong. His physique is not cut however, a layer of fat covering his muscles, making him just look normal for a farmer who worked his own fields.
His hands are composed of stubby fingers, thick looking and short. His palms are also calloused to no tomorrow, and there are many little scars on his hands from years at work. Above these hands are his strong thick arms, covered in a light brown hair that contrasts with his pale sun-tanned skin. His shoulders are broad, set wide apart, continuing with the theme of a weathered farmer. Atop these shoulders is his head, covered in a shaggy brown hair, cut just short enough to brush against his neck behind and cover his ears. Whenever he needs to cut his hair he simply takes a dagger or whatever is at hand and slices off an extra hair hanging down past his jawline. On his lower face is a beard, trimmed somewhat short, at least as short as he could get it without the specialized tools needed to do such things. Hadvir prefers to let his beard grow about an inch and a half below his chin. Beneath his medium length hair, his face also has a weathered look, with sun-tanned skin and somewhat blocky features. His brown eyes are small and deep set beneath a thick brow, just about his blocky nose.
Despite his relatively young age, years of hard work has done their toll, as among the thick, strong features of his face laugh lines has started to become visible, however his brown hair shows no signs of graying just yet.
Personality: Despite his life as what some would say is a mere peasant, a commoner, he is very strong willed. All throughout his life he has worked hard to make a life for his family, never once thinking of himself. The only thing he has needed to keep him forging ahead is the company of those he loves, and making them happy. Among those in his village he is charismatic, a man well-liked by all for his hard work and dedication.
He is very trust-worthy as well, in fact he is known for his reliability in Bull-ridge, at least among his neighbors. He will often pay off his debts among the village with portions of his crops, or helping out with work. Say his plow breaks and he needs a new one forged but he has not yet harvest his crop to pay for one, the local blacksmith would give him one without question because he knows Hadvir will pay him back any way he can.
Hadvir is also a very level headed man, while perhaps not having book-smarts he knows his way around the world, or at least, around Bull-ridge. He has lived in Bull-ridge all of his life, not knowing much of the outside world except for the news that comes every year with the trading caravans.
Despite his strong worker's ethic he does take breaks from time to time, only after all work is done however. These breaks can sometimes be taking his two children with him to town to perhaps do something fun, like visit his sister and her children, whom are close friends of his son and daughter, so they are always overjoyed to go to their aunt's house. Sometimes he also likes to go to the local tavern and get a drink and talk to some old friends, and make new ones. Many times he has encountered some interesting individuals from out of town passing through the local tavern/inn.
Hadvir's family is the most important thing in his life to him, and everything he does is for their benefit.
--->Likes: Family, meeting new people and helping new people, getting things done.
--->Dislikes: Slacking, laziness, violence.
--->Strengths: Strong, strong-willed
--->Weakness: Not very educated, Can not use magic, not very well trained beyond hurried basic training when he was drafted into the Imperial Army.
Family:
Alive:
Wife: Alea Fieldsson
Two Children: Delvin Fieldsson, Aela Fieldsson
Mother: Hilde Fieldsson
Sister: Edith Stendsson
Deceased:
Father: Benor Fieldsson
(Other farther removed family to be added as mentioned)
History: Hadvir's life thus far has been a simple one. Born thirty eight years ago to his mother and father, they named him Hadvir Fieldsson. He was born to a long line of farmers who lived in Bull-Ridge, hence the name Fieldsson. His life as a child was a rather dull one. His old home somewhat off the beaten path away from the main village most days he only had his one sibling, his sister Edith to keep him company. She was older than him by two years however, so she always teased him and made him feel inferior in his early years. This led to the usual sibling feuds of which Hadvir still has fond memories of to this day. His father was much like Hadvir is today, a hard worker who toiled day-in day-out in the fields during harvest season and planting. During these times, as early as seven years of age Hadvir was hard at work with his father. Their family being quite small compared to the average family who worked the fields, so Hadvir had to work extra hard because of this.
As Hadvir grew up, he went through the teenage phase, growing somewhat more adventurous and not content with just waiting around at his family's farm from harvest and planting seasons. During this time he would often take trips to town and it was during one of these trips, during the festival that came with the arrival of the trade caravans that he met his future wife, Alea. By this time, he was in his late teens, it was not until he was in his early twenties that he actually married Alea. During the time before their marriage, Hadvir and Alea had gotten to know each other quite well. These memories, along with when his two children were born are the memories he holds the most dear to him.
When they married, Hadvir was 21 years old, Alea being three years younger than him at 18. It was a small wedding, held right in Bull-ridge. Over the years Alea and Hadvir's family had grown close just as the two lovers had, making the union all the more joyous. A mere year later his son and first born, named Delvin was born. Overjoyed with his first son, Hadvir tried his best to be the best father he could be, utterly lost in what he should do. Alea and Hadvir had a lot of help both from Hadvir's mother and his mother-in-law for their first son. By the time his second child, a girl named Aela, almost identical to her mother's name, was born two years later they already got the hang of things as a new family. Hadvir's happiness would not go uninterrupted in these times however, as his aging father passed away a mere year after Aela was born. Hadvir was destroyed by the death of his fire, falling into a depression for a year. He would still be in such a state if not for his children and his wife, who he had an obligation as a father and a husband to take care of. In the end, he is happy his father got to meet his grandchildren before he passed. Hadvir's mother now lives with Hadvir and his family in his home. She was depressed for much longer than anyone else, and Hadvir's heart ached for his grieving mother still for many years until she finally moved on. Now, Hadvir couldn't have asked for a better grandmother for his children, although he dreads that her days may be drawing to an end.
Through thick and thin, Hadvir thinks thus far he has done a fine job as a father, teaching both his children good morals, to be honest, and work hard among other things. Hadvir wishes for more for his children however, he hopes one day he can get an opportunity to let his children be something more than just farmers in Bull-Ridge. He wants his children's life to be better than his own.
Events outside of Bull-ridge had never been of much importance to Hadvir until the Varden attacked the Empire from the south, officially beginning the war. Hadvir, a commoner who was doomed to poverty despite generations of hard work because of the Empire's tax would have joined the Varden. He had his family to think about however. He knew the truth about the Empire and the Varden, despite Imperial propaganda. If he evaded the draft, demanding every able bodied man from every family to join the Imperial army, he did not know what would happen to his family. For the sake of his family, to keep them safe, he joined the Empire's army, training to be a simple grunt on the front-lines, he only hoped he survived the war to see his family once again.
