Full Name: Sol-lu
Race: Dragon Spirit
Side: (varden, empire, neutral, other)
Birthplace: Alalëa
Age: 11,000
Gender: Male
Birthday: Spring
Eyes: Golden
Hair: Silver
Weight: 210
Height: 6'4
Magic User: Yes
Preferred Weapon(s):
Appearance:
First Form(Half-elf)
Sol-lu stands at 6'4, above average among humans, but just average for an elf, perhaps slightly below. His build is very well defined and youthful despite his old age. He appears as if he was in the beginning of adulthood, with a lithe elf like build with still held massive strength. The only things that reflects his age visually would be his golden eyes, that seem to reflect his wisdom in their glittering depths.
His face consists of the same angular features as his build, although with a stronger jaw-line than most elves, alluding to the human blood with which his race was also fused with. The skin on his face is completely smooth however, and he does not grow facial hair, perhaps another magical alteration done out of preference, or perhaps the blood of the elves had more say in his appearance.
Despite his golden eyes, his most striking feature would be his silvery white hair. Not quite the coloration of old age, his hair which hangs down straight just beyond the bottom of his jaw, seems to shine more brightly, which would lead some to call it silver.
Dragon
Sol-lu has the same coloration in his dragon form as he does while he is in his lesser former. He is a dragon with scales of silver, and piercing golden eyes. His scales shine as brightly as polished silver. Despite the striking shine on his scales the number one thing someone would notice of his dragon form is his size. Crowning the top of his head are also two large spiked horns protruding angled backwards, with a slight curve downwards down their length. There are also more spikes which continue along down his spine, shrinking as they reach his tail. At the tip of his tail are two large spikes protruding sideways from the tip, forming a deadly weapon when he swings his tail sideways. These horns are all colored an ivory white, along with his teeth.
In 11,000 years Sol-lu has grown to a truly enormous size. He was truly a dragon that could be mistaken for a large hill. His length from head to tail is estimated to be about six hundred feet, with his wing span about double that. As he walks along the ground in his Dragpn form the ground seems to rumble with every step he takes, like a small earthquake.
Personality: Even with his age, which brought wisdom to him, Sol-lu still retains the common trait of most dragon spirits, arrogance. This arrogance is not as obvious as some of the younger individuals of his race. Despite his arrogance at times, he always seems to reign it in before he gets into too much trouble, and while he is arrogant, he is not as vain as perhaps a female dragon spirit would be. Most of his arrogance over the years has translated to a quiet determination which is always about him.
His words are always well thought out and concise, never a breath wasted. For this reason he doesn't speak often, and often finds small talk to be somewhat distracting now. His thinking is very black and white, never unsure of which stance he should take, whether in combat or with his opinions. Some can find these opinions harsh, to which he would call those weak if they frustrated him enough. Despite this, he does not excel things to actual conflict even though he would strongly disagree with someone else vocally. It is not often someone would seek such a conflict from him in the first place.
Over his many years he has seen friends come and go, aging away with the land while he remained. The sheer amount of time he has existed one of the major factors that isolated him. Even with his pride he has let loneliness get to him in the past, but now he has grown accustomed to it. He is very much introverted despite his pride, and does not try to make friends. He often enjoys just watching other people more often than engaging with them in conversation. As for family, he had known them at some point in time, many years ago. That was so long ago, however, that he does not even remember what they looked like.
Despite his isolation he has made a name for himself in years past, and finds it somewhat awkward when someone recognizes him, most often it being someone with great knowledge of history or someone very old. Sol-lu also holds a particular fascination for Dwarves, as he had not encountered one ever until he arrive in Alagaesia.
--->Likes: Winning, time alone, competence.
--->Dislikes: losing, being insulted, ignorance.
--->Strengths: Magic, physical prowess, strategical
--->Weakness: Arrogant
Family: Long Forgotten
History:
Sol-lu was born 11,000 years ago, in the Elf's homeland of Alalëa. Being born around 3000 years prior to 0 AC, he himself predates the dwarven race by three thousand years, making him one of the first Dragon Spirits. Sol-lu vaguely remembers these times in Alalëa, one of the only things he remembers is the Elves of those lands, much like they were then like they are now, forest dwellers and a merry folk. Despite his lack of memory, he spent a good portion of his life in Alalëa. Unlike most, he still views Alagaesia as somewhat foreign. It is probable he lost much of his memory of Alalëa during his slumber, which lasted thousands of years. This occurred shortly after he arrived in Alagaesia with the elves.
Following the great mistake of the Elves that forced them to leave their homeland, the Dragon Spirit fell deathly ill, almost as if he was dying with the land. As they crossed the ocean to Alagaesia, his condition only deteriorated. During this time, the Elves took care of him during his time of need, something he was grateful for and would not forget, becoming friends with the Elves for the rest of his existence. A much more experienced Elf elder (at the time) feared he would not be able to save the Dragon Spirit without drastic measures, so he took some drastic measures. The blight upon the Sol-lu's body could only be cleansed with time, so he was sealed within a gem, a huge pure silver colored gemstone conjured by the magician, its opaqueness obscured Sol-lu within except for a dim glow from within its depths. It was in this state he remained for a very long time, generations living and dying as he healed. During these times he was moved from the coasts from where he had landed with the Elves, to the Island of the riders shortly after the pact was formed. Eventually, the origin of the crystal was forgotten by most except a choice few. Most speculated, from the power that was within it, which grew every year, indicating that Sol-lu still grew.
Seeking the power of the forgotten Dragon Spirit, Galbatorix stole the huge gem away with him when he destroyed the Dragon Riders, taking the great power for himself. Despite his many years to crack the Gem and control the power within however, the gem was guarded by innumerable ancient wards. Not even the King's knowledge of the true name of names helped him in breaking the gem, its wards crafted from pure magic without the use of the Ancient language. Soon after the fall of Galbatorix, the gem was once again discovered by the Varden in the king's chambers. An unkown oddity at this time, the only ones knowing of its origins Galbatorix and the now dead elders of the Dragon Rider Order, it was taken as a token of the Varden's victory, and kept in Illyria as so. What emerged from within would surprise everyone.
Anything extra: First Thread will be Sol-lu emerging from the gem.
