You do realize 20 is extremely young for an elf right and having your dragon rider be trained and have his dragon for six years does not fit with the plot. Oh and you will have to take a test before becoming a rider.

We're also no longer accepting any lost eggs... though we do have a problem with not having enough Neutral Riders as we're out of lost eggs. And having that one person who found an random, undiscovered egg... Lemme get back to you

Okay... here's what I got so far, so you need to add changes if you this is correct:
Shea was an elf, abandoned in the forest. Galbatroix found Shea and discovered his name (though his all powerful, I know everyone's name-ness), took her, had him try the eggs, and got one to hatch. So your character must be like Mutagh and reluctant to fight the Varden or the elves.

You do realize nobody has been on the island of Vroengard since Galbatorix ended the riders anyways you have to take the test before you become a rider
