(Sorry for taking so long and only getting to this when everyone is going semi inactive. I tried several times to type this post and failed every time.)
Brenton was willing to listen to everyone speak, as he cast a glance towards Agaravel and Riptide while fighting the urge to draw Undbitr. This was a dangerous situation and the sooner they left the better. Be wary of this area, David. They are old friends of mine but I had a disagreement with Agaravel and now they could be hostile towards all of us. Be ready to run if necessary. The half elf waited for any response from his student before bowing his head slightly to Laetri.
My sincerest apologies to you Elder Laetri. I was afraid something would happen to cause David to be in a precarious position. If he wishes to then we will stay but I am afraid this won't be a long visit. Slowly he brushed his black hair from the golden orbs that were his eyes. This showed the slight signs of his old personality peeking through. Brenton reigned in his more rambunctious and wild tendencies towards the things he got himself into.

Laetri felt slightly offended that Brenton thought he'd resort to violence when he wasn't provoked. Laetri waved off the gesture from Brenton and said, "Don't worry about it. No matter what disputes we may have, name one time I've ever used force without good reason. You know me enough to tell that what I'm saying is true. You're all more than welcome to stay as long as you may need or want. I welcome you with open arms so long as no provocations are made. Last thing I want is conflict, really. But none of that, I'd like to listen to David a little." making sure he didn't give Brenton the impression that he meant him disrespect, but rather that he simply found it easier to talk to David.
Gesturing for David and Brenton to follow him, Laetri walked back into his little house. He gestured towards the remnants of the breakfast he had prepared and said, "Please, feel at home." while moving to the kitchen side of the house to get some tea prepared for Brenton and the others. Returning, he offered the cup to Brenton and asked David, "How is your training going? Good, I would imagine. When all is said and said, Brenton is quite a teacher I'd imagine."
Agaravel stared awkwardly at Zeus. She had no love for the dragon. After his original attitude to Laetri she wanted nothing more than to attack him, but she knew Laetri would not approve so she didn't. Instead, she nudged his mind with her's and said, "If you're hungry, there are some deer behind the house which I hunted a few hours ago. Or you could go hunting in the forest if you rather it to be fresh. Your choice."

(sorry I was away at camp, I shall post now)
David first replied to Brenton Mentally "I was a warrior and magician before I was a rider Brenton, I know both of action and Being on my guard. However I am ready to fight or flee as needed We hold equal ground with them at the moment, and they do not even know of Heralda yet, which is an advantage if need be" It was amazing how much they balanced each-other out. Brenton taught him things, and David taught Brenton things.. they were a team, almost unmatched in battle. Something David doubted would ever end, even after his training was finished.
He next responded to Laetri with a bow "I Thank you for the kind words. As for my training, it is going well. Most magic and sword fighting I already knew, having been a magician for the Varden long before I was blessed with Zeus. However he has expanded on my knowledge of those things, including knowledge on how t be a dragon rider. However Zeus himself still needs a teacher. There are things Brenton just can't teach, nor anyone else but a living dragon." Heralda did what she could, but Zeus needed a dragon who still had full use of their body.
Zeus next responded to the Dragon after a moments thought, speaking to the dragon alone "He is forgiven. While David trusts people too easily, it is my job to test them. I hope this has not arouse ill will towards us, David especially." He then humfed and said "Apology accepted Leatri Rider of Agaravel." He did not care about eating, he could hunt at a later time, though his belly ached for some food. When the blue dragon offered some of her kill, Zeus gave her a nod "Thank you."
By that Time, David had accepted their invitation to stay a little while, hoping some calm chat may defuse the tension between his teacher and these people, David had spent most of his life fighting a war, and he was done with fighting and just wanted peace. "What would you like to hear?" He asked

Laetri flicked David on the forehead. "Enough with the bowing and the extreme politeness. We're all friends here. Treat me accordingly - as a friend. You don't bow to a friend, David. You bow to someone who's earned extreme respect. I'm afraid that would not be me." he scolded, his voice soft and gentle, assuring he meant no conflict. He understood what he meant by Zeus needed a dragon for a teacher. After all, Eldunari can't very well tutor a live dragon when they have no body. Humoring a thought he said, "I see you've decided to join the Air Branch. You could ask Anurin to tutor both yourself and or Zeus. After all, not to be rude, Brenton, but there are some things that Anurin knows none of us do. Whether it's in magic or otherwise. After all, he is as ancient as he is wise. Besides, he and Vanilor would love nothing more than to help some youngsters. Though be wary with Vanilor, he could be a little grumpy at times. He wouldn't harm you, but he'd get quite grumpy. Not something you want really with Vanilor."
Waving aside training and practice, he said, "Mostly any journeys you may have experienced. After all, no one who was ever put in a place like ours ends up with no stories to tell. It's how we remain alive - when people remember us. When people talk of our tales and adventures. And you're the one who supplies those tales. Just remember, dead men don't tell no tales. Never let your guard down out there. Who knows what there might still be?" reclining back to a more comfortable position. Hearing Zeus' apology, he smiled. "Thank you, Zeus. I very much appreciate it." he responded, knowing well how much it must have taken to bend his pride to apologize.
Agaravel remained slightly annoyed of Zeus' initial response but appreciated when he apologized. As a dragon, she could relate to how it must feel to apologize, especially when you felt like you were in the right. She shifted her large body awkwardly, glad that the lake offered her room to maneuver in. She got back in, most of her upper body popping out of the water surface. She turned to stare at the house the others were in. Reaching to Riptide she asked, "Do you think they'll be fine?"
Staring out of the water from under the surface, Riptide gave a slight neigh elongated by the water. "I'm not too sure. Based on what I've seen, Brenton is very rash, obnoxious, and quite impatient. But don't worry. If he tries to do anything I'm still here. I won't let him harm Laetri or anyone else in the area." responded the ancient Guardian, his voice hinting some sadness.
