Arlyn yelped as he was pushed out of the water. He nipped at Agaravel playfully and nuzzled her in return. "No need to thank me, I feel just the same way," there was a smile in his voice.
Isrydia realised what was happening just a moment before Laetri kissed her. At first she felt anxious and tense, having been through all she had with Brenton. Laetri was different though, he was not forceful and cared about her where Brenton only seemed to care about his own feelings and desires. She relaxed after a moment and kissed back, smiling slightly afterwards. "Well, I wasn't expecting that... not in a bad way," she hastily added, not sure what to say. She could feel herself blushing. "I mean, all the stuff with Brenton kind of shook me, if you heard about that." Laetri had been made king in Brenton's absence, she assumed they knew each other well enough for Laetri to be aware of the whole ordeal with how much Brenton droned on about it.

Agaravel looked at Arlyn before she flopped her body on the ground next to him. Curling around slightly she said, "The sky looks beautiful today. Have you noticed that, Arlyn?" her voice slightly mesmerized by it all. She found it funny how a few moments could change someone's mood so fast. Whether for better or worse, she was sure in this case it was for better. It had only been a few minutes ago that she and Laetri had been discussing business. Any thought of that was, by now, kilometers out of her head. Right now she had no care in the world. The only thing she held onto was the fiery burning feeling in her chest.
Laetri felt Isrydia's first anxiety and even reluctance. Considering the last time a man had tried anything like this, it hadn't ended well, Laetri didn't feel upset. He was, for a brief moment slightly upset, but then realized that he would put her needs and wants ahead of his any day. When she kissed him back it was his turn to be surprised. Pleasantly surprised, that is. As they broke apart, a smile playing on his face as well. "Makes two of us, then. I was worried you might be upset with that considering.. I'm glad you aren't." he told her, at a loss for words.
Nodding sadly, he said, "Yes I remember. I also had a fallout with him. But it's okay now. I won't ever do anything you don't want me to do. I'll always be there for you." gently holding Isrydia closer to him. Resting his head on her shoulder, he noticed one single tear make its way down his cheek and hit the hard ground. Surprisingly, grass began to grow from there. "Right, I didn't answer your earlier question. The queen took me in because of my blood. I'm the only remaining descendant of Laetri, the first Elf to ever have killed a Shade. Else no I don't think she would have." he told her.
When you die, your world ends. The world may go on, but in your eyes, the world ends with you.

"I hadn't, I suppose it is," Arlyn's sapphire eyes studied the sky for a moment. Being so close felt nice. He hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings in the past while, all his attention had been on having fun and Agaravel. "What is it you normally do? Now the war's over, I mean. Everyone who was involved had to find something new to occupy their time, and for some that's harder than others."
It relieved Isrydia to a great extent how understanding Laetri appeared to be. He was more perceptive of her own feelings as separate to his wishes. "You fell out with him too? What about? " She was curious. Brenton's attitude must have caught up with him because she was hearing more and more about trouble he'd got into with various people.
She nodded with interest upon learning of his ancestor. She believed it didn't matter whose blood was in your veins, and she herself had no one significant in her family - perhaps contributing to her view on the lack of importance of great ancestors. "Not a bad person to have in the family. All mine are just normal smallfolk. My dad's a candle maker, and that business goes back a few generations, but beyond that I don't know."
((Feel like this might be coming to an end, you?))
