"Oh I'm sorry. Please excuse my manners. My name is Kaen and aye, thank you for your invitation. Life is very boring and I afterwards, I might join the guards I heard Camarat was starting. Surely that will be more eventful than following soldiers. Moratensis, are you going to join them?" Rixen leaned back onto a tree, reached into a pouch at his belt and took out a ruby which he had charged with energy before and tossed it to Silas. "Take some energy. You must have spent a lot of energy healing that wound."

(Dark are you rping kaen and rixen?)
Great Silas thought I'm finally turning into a damn idiot. Raising his hand to rub his temples his ears caught not a sound not a cool breeze, a birds call. Even more perfect he scared away nature Silas pulled away his cowl showing his neatly kept hair. Maybe I should just slip away and settle down some where that sounds nice he thought. First of all he should apologize to Moratensis and Kaen the only thing that kept him from doing this was his pride. Who am I to tell Moratensis what he can and can't do I'm not his parent I'm not his older brother. Silas grabbed out the wooden cylinder and opened it grabbing a rolled up oak leaf from in side it. Thought it wasn't entirely a dark green that most oak leaves where it shimmered with a silver light.
Looking down at his thigh he saw where the arrow had entirely exited straight through the bone. Silas had tried to hide it but magic that he had exerted on Moratensis had stopped the numbing he had tried to maintain now the entirety of his leg was soaked. When he shifted Silas knew the entire arrow hadn't gone through the arrow head had logged it into his bone. Seeing Moratensis walk over to him he quickly whispered a few words making most of the blood evaporate and the cloth of his pants stich back to where the wound wasn't visible but the blood continued to soak his leg. Hearing this Silas was happy that Moratensis didn't hate him and he was glad at Moratensis wanting to maintain peace not hinder it. "Well I'm glad that for one you don't hate me and the other thing is it takes humility to know that you where wrong so at least your learning something and kaen you keep your ruby" He said throwing it back to him.

Moratensis pondered Kaen's question. He had heard very briefly about The Guards. Camarat, a complete stranger to Moratensis but apparently quite a figurehead, had decided to start that up to maintain peace in Alagaesia. He had seen some of it to an extent. The men and women who signed up for it and actually were accepted were nothing less than top notch. Knowing this, he also knew where he stood. He couldn't dream of being accepted into The Guards. He had heard from some giddy housewife how her husband had passed the examination to join. Apparently you need to defeat a series of trials, one of which was live combat. Though she didn't speak of any of the other trials, she emphasized how much her husband had stressed on the fact that who he had fought was crazy powerful.
Shaking his head, he spoke to Kaen, "I doubt I have enough power to join The Guards, though I'll give it a shot anyway. Considering my abilities I might not need all too much power. Hopefully if I'm lucky I'll be able to get through it." though he would've humored the thought of joining The Guards he was realistic enough to know his chances were slim. So he didn't have too high hopes but all the same, the thought and the hope was there.
Noticing the wound on Silas' leg, Moratensis bit his lip so hard that blood began to stream quietly down his lip. He had gotten quite a bit of energy from Kaen, on one hand. On the other, if he started this without the energy to complete it he'd make it worse. Listening to Silas' words he felt them deep inside him. He turned to him and said, "I can't hate you if I tried. I owe you more than anything. I think I will try to join The Guards. I'll make sure no one becomes like I had. For now, though, I'll stay with you until your wound heals. I can't heal it myself now, not enough energy. But I can fend off anyone who attacks." sitting down next to Silas.

(Yes. Why?) Kaen caught the ruby, surprised Silas didnt use the energy. He was running out of energy and a wound on his leg just showed. "You sure, Silas? That wound looks nasty and if I'm to be travelling with you, you should be in top form whenever possible" Although he had seen worse wounds in battles, that wound still made Kaen wince. He eyed Moratensis' sword and stature. "Dont worry. Power is only half the battle. You also need to be quick, smart and think about what other dont expect you to think" But Moratensis said made Kaen think about himself. Is he powerful enough? Strong enough? Smart enough? Screw it, he thought. Im going to try anyway. If I dont make it, Its not like its the end of the world. Although in his subconsciousness, he knew that if he failed, he will regret it for a very long time. And considering the boredom, he'll be thinking about it alot more than he should. "It does sound hard but I'll try anyway. Itll give me something to do over all this boredom" He said wry smile "Im sure you'll make it. I just saw you fight and you took down an Elf. And with a sword like that, youll never feel tired"

(just asking) Feeling the arrowhead grind against his inner calf Silas winced there was something off some part of nature should have returned a bird the wind there was nothing. Silas started getting woozy his head started to spin he heard kaen and Moratensis both talk "Yes I... am sure thank you for your con...sideration." Silas started mumbleing afterwhich his entire body felt as if it where in a stand still. "Th...ank you Mmmoratensis I'm ... glad to know that you ... want to change... your life and hhhelp others" Silas squinted at the tree line.
"III'm ... not sure but should those people be here the look like the men we just killed" With this Silas slumped against the tree the toxin had worked it's way from the logged arrow head into his blood stream though it was only a tranquilizer Silas was out cold.

Noticing Silas' wince and pain, Moratensis turned to look at his leg. Watching horrified at how the Ranger seemed to be hallucinating, he quickly checked his leg, moving the fabric out of the way. Laying eyes on it, he winced. There was poison at play here. Luckily, that was something Moratensis excelled at. While Silas may be too proud or would allow his morals to stop him from taking the energy, Moratensis wasn't the same. Though he had decided to change for the better he still believed in taking what was necessary. To him, the lust for magic energy was a heavy one. Rather than take it for his own though, he snatched the ruby from Kaen, saying, "Apologies, I'll be needing this." as he absorbed the energy from the ruby into himself.
Though he felt pleasure at being praised so from Kaen, he had no time to think about it. Feeling the new found energy crackling in him, he knelt back down next to Silas. He wasn't too familiar that he could heal it completely, but he could at least remove the poison. The recovery would have to either be done by Kaen or Silas himself. Wishing he could be more help, Moratensis snapped back to reality. Placing his hand on Silas' shoulder, he began his process of "healing".
It had the same effect as any normal healing, except not quite. For one, he simply siphoned his own magic into the body that needed healing. Allowing his magic to flow through the body's blood, he could neutralize any unwanted germs or bacteria or stitch any wound by accelerating the process of the cells' reproduction with magic. The only difference in the result is that this was slightly more demanding and it also helped soothing the person in question a decent bit. After siphoning the energy from the ruby into Silas, he sighed. Falling down to a sitting position with his back on the trunk of the tree, he looked at Kaen and said, "Much appreciated. Both for the energy and the praise. I daresay you've got a trick or two up your own sleeve yourself."
