Dragons, like wagons, Have tongues. Dragons, like flagons, have necks. But while two hold beer, The other eats deer!
And little birds too.

I know quite a bit... Usually, dragons are seen in chinese culture more then anyone elses. In Chinese culture, dragons are scene as powerful and holy creatures residing from the sea. They are wise and benevolent when respected and dangerous when angered. Dragons are seen as the Yang part of Yin and Yang. Unlike European or western dragons, they do not have wings and rarely breathe fire. They fly to and from heaven through the clouds.
In European culture, as well as quite a few others, they are or were seen as dangerious animals that breathe fire and steal away fair maidens. They aren't always seen as the bad guys, but they usually are. They are large, dinosaur or lizard like creatures with a fully body while the Chinese dragon is more snake like with a long body. The Chinese dragon looks more like the European Wyrm, or water serpent. Western dragons usually live in caves or forests, guarding treasure to represent greed.
So, here's what we have of dragons: Eastern culture uses dragons as symboism and to teach whereas Western uses it for a story and action.
And I like the poem, Shadow, lol. I've seen it somewhere, methinks.

Heh, there's a story with their claws too. In china, I think they have 5. In Japan, they have 4, and in Korea they have 3, or maybe I'm wrong and it's one less, I forget. But anyway, China says that they were flying towards the west and they started losing their claws. That's why they never made it all the way to the west, because they would have lost all their claws and would be unable to walk. Japan says they were flying east and gained toes. They never made it all the way around because they kept growing toes and if they continued, they would grow so many, they'd be unable to walk.
