Full Name: Jelene Hammerhold
Other Name: None
Race: Dwarven, Dûgrimst Ingeitum
Side: Favors the Varden, dislikes the King, but for the right price, takes business from both.
Birthplace: Farthen Dûr, Tonjheim
Age: 40
Gender: Female
Birthday: December 15
Eyes: Deep drown and murky.
Hair: Jelene’s hair is honey in color and thick and bushy and never tame. It is twisted into intricate braids and knots that eventually fall to her shoulders, as a huge, frizzy mess.
Weight: 180
Height: 3”6’
Magic User: No.
Clothing: She wears a rough sheepskin hood and collard shirt as well as a woolen tunic on top. Also, she wears no jewelry, save for the solitary mother of pearl brooch that is clasped around her arm and inlaid with her clan’s symbol.
In battle, she wears knee length chain mail that is belted around her waist. It is silted at the sides so it won’t restrict the movement of her legs. She wears an iron med helm she crafted herself and is coated with a fine layer of gold at the edges.
Preferred Weapon(s): Jelene prefers the usage of her battleaxe rather than the traditional clan weapons. Her battle axe is a heavy weapon that requires the use of two hands to fight correctly when wielding it. The blade is tinted green and trimmed with sturdy iron that was painted red long ago. As a result, she has a lethal battleaxe that somewhat resembles a rusted, old, and cast aside weapon. Two flukes, long spikes, protrude from the base of the wooden handle so the axe can be used effectively as a club from the rear end.
Personality: Jelene has the patience required to fulfill any task when sitting next to the smith’s fires, but when it comes to her temper, her patience is short lived and she can fly into a tirade of angry retorts. She’d rather be left alone that confronted by anything other than her beloved smithing tools and loves her trade. She dislikes the King for his cruelty towards humans. According to her even they don’t deserve the treatment they’re getting, but she doesn’t let that bother her. Jelene is much too content when under the ground, and isn’t usually in the mood to go around killing other for a cause she halfheartedly believes in.
Likes/Dislikes: Jelene likes nothing more than sitting down next to her forge and being left alone to create (in her mind) works of art from the fires. She loves her clan as well, though she's never gotten close to any of the other members, but they allow her to do her work in peace. She enjoys the liberties granted to her from years of smithing. She can request a variety of metals straight from the mines and easily accuire rare and precious stones.
She highly dislikes humans and considers them almost as bad as elves..and she hates elves. She envies their work at the forge.
Family: Jelene is distantly related to the 10th king of the dwarves, Dondar. Her mother's name was Alahine, she was a warrior and committed her life to the Varden's cause. Jelene never knew her mother, as she died soon after Jelene was born in a skirmish in the Empire's western borders. Her father raised her away from these troubles safe in Tronjheim. His name was Falundur. He was a master smith. He is still alive today, but as Jelene grew older and isolated her self, they drifted apart and rarely correspond now.
Brief History: Jelene was born in Tronjheim and spent almost her whole life there. She was raised by her father since her mother died soon after her birth. She was told she inherited the traits of her mother-strong, fierce determination to continue a task until accomplished-and the skill of her father, the master smith. She is loyal to her clan by all means, but never interacts with them much. Her loyalty is tied to her blood, for her family has been in this clan for centuries, and Jelene upholds traditions faithfully.
When she was younger, she talked too often and too much, and after one too many scoldings, she learned to keep her mouth shut, and almost permanently. Soon, her habit of loquaciousness completely faded away. She loved her father dearly however, though he often left for long periods of time. He enjoyed working in the mines and tunneling almost as much as he loved to be a blacksmith.
After a long lapse of time without him, she gradually gave up on simply waiting for him and took up the family trade. She found she loved it, and when her father came back, he was surprised at how well she had gotten. He praised her and taught her. She eventually became better than him, because unlike her father, the skill came naturally.
She began to sell her trade, and stopped doing it for her private enjoyment. When people learned that she had such talent in this particular area, she slowly became a renowned smith and received orders for her craft from various people. She disliked the name she was earning, for she had been perfectly content when no one had known her.
After some years passed, Jelene drew back into seclusion, hiding from the world once more. In time however, her abilities came to be needed again…for the war that would shake off tyranny for good…
Anything Extra: I don't know much about the physical apperance of a dwarf, so if some of this is wrong, I'm sorry.
