He lives his life how he wants, with laughter and merriment, and loves it for that. He can be mean, selfish and rude without realizing, or he can't be open, free and happy, cheer you up when your done without thinking twice.
Likes/Dislikes: Likes: enjoying himself, relaxing, laughter, sword-fighting. Dislikes: seriousness, boring conversations, being told off.
Family: Both his parents are still alive and well, and strangely he has a twin-sister, which is rare in the elfish community.
Brief History: Liam was born in the Du Weldenvarden, a leafy paradise for a relaxed elf. He was born with a twin, so his younger days were spent with her, and they forged a bond that would last a lifetime. As a child, he excelled at sword fighting, but never had the dedication or commitment to do anything about it. His schooling was boring to him, and he never was really academic. His twin-sister, however, was a book-worm, and spent most of her time studying.
He showed signs of prowess in Magic, and learnt slowly how to use the Ancient language for his benefit. Though learning it was interesting enough, boredom overtook his life and he left early, so he isn't super-advanced at it. Seeing as he wasn't in school or training in anything, his life was dominated by finding fun things to do. This soon became hard in the forest, because he had explored and enjoyed the area for most of his life, and knew every inch of the place he lived. He wasn't allowed to venture too far into teh green depths, which always drew him in, with wild fantasies of adventures and excitement.
After he became older, he decided to go into the forest, irresistible to the danger. His twin knew he was going, and being caring and brave, she followed, to protect him. She was an excellent spell-caster, one of the best in the area, and had enough power to protect them both. Or so she thought.
Areas of the Du Weldenvarden were forbidden to most people. Including elves. Their i good reason for this. Ancient magic protects the areas, and no-one knows what could happen when you enter. This, of course, was the area that Liam chose to explore.
There wasn't a path or clear guide to the way to travel, so Liam and his protector made their way using their powerful and overwhelming agility. Leaping heights that would of dizzied humans, they covered ground quickly, and reached the forbidden area. Not many people had been near it, fewer had seen it and only a tiny amount had entered it. But the last two categories were given a treat.
A temple, crafting skilfully from large stone blocks, lay in a small clearing, the forest around it stopped at a magically line. There was no deterioration visible, and the temple stones were polished to a point where they reflected sunlight into Liam's eyes. Walking towards it, his sister called out. "Stop. I don't like this. It's just... not right." The best decision of Liam's life lay right before him. Turn around. Go home. Seeing it was enough. Yeah right. He turned back towards the temple, and strode forward, his sister running after him.
Inside was even more impressive than out. There was three hallways that curved round to meet in a large hall in the middle. Red carpets lay along these, and it was woven with perfection, soft and light. In the hall, there was rows and rows of seats, which all faced towards an altar made of pure gold. Jewels sparkled and the gold faintly glowed in the low amount of light. Running towards it, Liam burned with desire to touch it. Feel it's magnificence. His sister screamed for him to stop, and quickly cast a ward around him, tears burning in her eyes. Liam didn't hear a word. He was almsot there, he could made out the intricate design in the gold, snakes weaving in and out.
He reached out his hand, and pressed his index finger against the cool gold. He cried out in delight, the power of the gold holding him in place. Then, in the shadows, a movement woke him from his trance of bliss. A figure walked towards him, deep red cloak billowing behind him. Under the hood, Liam could make out pure red eyes, and what looked like a hideous nose, with slits like a snake. Shouting to his twin to run, he turned and started sprinting out. The figure made a small movement of his hand and a ball of red liquid appeared before him. It was blood. Flicking his wrist, he sent it straight for Liam. His sister, who was completely still, suddenly gasped, and collapsed to the floor. Writhing in agony, she screamed and screamed. All of a sudden, the ball of blood exploded into thousands of droplets, and Liam's twin was quiet. Liam ran to her, and turn her over. Her face was pure white and her lips were blue. Searing pain tore through his body, as he picked her up and ran out the front door, into the forest. The rest of the day was a blur. The next week passed without a memory.
After that day, Liam lost his ability to feel what others felt. He lost the power to empathise. Totally ignorant of others feelings. A curse. He only feels what he knows is true in himself.
A few years after that, he decided to leave the forest and never come back. The ground was stained with his sisters blood. Just like his soul. He would never recover fully. But new lands and sights would bring new memories to take the place of the death, which he wanted to forget more than anything.
Anything extra: Nope.
