A long, flowing journeyman’s cape hangs from his shoulders, and a simple pair of dirty breeches completely cover his legs and lower waist. A leather utility belt ties his breaches to his waist, and a large sheath is strapped to his back with a tightly bonded cord. Black combat boots slipped onto his feet and ancient relic necklace hung around his neck, Tristan is in full check. He also wears impenetrable leather gloves when he is fighting.
Preferred Weapon(s): He wields a sword he stole from the Empire’s most treasured armories. Since he was on their side at the time, and was also a high-ranking officer for his weapon skills, the man was granted full access. Nicking a sword that was quite valuable and magically powerfully, the man named his sword ‘Shadowblade’. The blade itself was huge, with a few scratches, but edgy and razor sharp. The hilt and handle was quite small compared actual blade, and only with his strength could Tristan accomplish fighting with it. He carried the sword in it’s sheath strapped to his back. Tris’ is also skilled with the bow and shruikens, but does not carry either weapon. He may time to time carry a small dirk tied the side of his belt, but nothing else is really used by the warrior.
Personality: Many have known him as cold, slow to fury, and vengeful. Slightly arrogant, distant, right-on-the-mark, unfriendly, and unforgiving as well as proud. Tristan is quite misunderstood because of his dark history. Tristan is actually patient, self-controlled, and wise enough to keep his distance from unknown people. He is extremely knowledgeable, but unfriendly and untrusting. Cunning and quick, he is a constant threat to his enemies, and he is also unforgiving, which results in a branch to revenge. Tristan is quite confident in his skills, and shows it with slight superciliousness. The warrior mage is also deeply rooted into his opinions and values, and cannot be easily moved. He can be kind and loving, gentle, just and friendly, but that side is rarely seen of him. Tris’ rarely speaks, and when he does, it is of extreme importance. He can also be slightly lustful for attractive women, but has learned to be controlled in his emotions. He has a strong dislike for dwarves, and shows it in an obvious fashion.

Family:
Maximus Thedorius- Father/Empire’s Elite Admiral
Relationship: Tristan hates his father with utmost malice. His father captured Tristan from the orphanage and put him into military boot camp, causing him several mental and physical scars, and a painful adolescent transition. Later Maximus took two apprentices in, one being Tristan and another named Fuego, and chose Fuego as his successor because Tristan fell behind in his academics. He then sent for Tristan to be enlisted in the Empire’s Army, where Tris’ escaped to the Varden.
Maria Nightbane- Mother
Relationship: Tristan slightly loathes his mother. She was a prostitute at the age of sixteen and one day ‘served’ Maximus, which resulted in the birth of Tristan. Unable to care for him, Maria dropped him off in an orphanage. A similar situation happened with her lover’s name being unknown, she birthed a younger half-brother named Aarone. Though she visited them now and then, Tristan had a feeling of hate that his mother didn’t care enough to take care of them herself. His younger brother, Aarone ‘Crackerjack’ Rueben Nightbane, was favored by his mother for his more friendly, good-humored and sensitive demeanor. He felt guilty and torn apart when his mother was killed by a man she accidentally gave a sexually-transmitted disease to, suggesting he actually loved his mother, though her faults.
Aarone Nightbane- Younger Half-Brother
Aarone is not identical, and is the only person Tristan truly cares for. He took care of Aarone in the orphanage before he was taken away to military camp, leaving his younger sibling in the orphanage. He was actually light-hearted and friendly when Aarone was around, and had a strong sense of protection over his younger sibling.
Bellania Astrofellia- Former Lover
He was formerly in a relationship with Bella, a rouge elvenmaid. However, Bella was captured by some mysterious captor, and after years of searching, Tristan gave up and moved on in his life, still secretly searching for his true love.
Brief History: Tristan was born to Maria Nightbane, a young prostitute who was pregnant because of Maximus Thedorius, a high-ranking Imperial official. She was charmed by his elegance and initial kindness, and decided to keep her baby. After he left her in a worser state, the girl decided to have her baby boy, whom she named Tristan. She gave him to an orphanage, and he grew up till the age of four, where he was known as a silent, rebellious baby.
At the age of five, his mother, Maria, came by again to drop of a baby from a mysterious lover, whom she named Aarone. Tristan took care of Aarone, and the two grew up together. Tristan was the tough-guy, constantly standing up for his sensitive brother. He beat up anyone who hurt his baby brother, resulting in detentions and juvenile records. Tristan grew up being hated by a lot of orphans, who couldn’t act bullish in front of his presence. His mother was killed when he was thirteen, and Aarone being nine. At the age of fifteen, he was captured at night by an Empire recruit, saying his father enrolled him in the Academy. Still unknowing of whom is male parent was, the boy complied and went through four harsh years of torturous training. Coming out, Tristan was a hard-core, tough soldier who could outspar any other fighter in the land. He hated his father for putting him through such extensive training, and was called to meet him. They called him Tristan Dragonaire, saying his ferocity in battle matched that of a dragon.
Meeting his father, Maximus Thedorius, his hate consumed him even more when he realized that it was one of his men who killed his mother. He was taken under apprenticeship alongside an obnoxious lad named Fuego Norrington, who’s father was a high-ranking diplomat. In the end, Maximus abandoned his son, choosing Fuego as his final apprentice. Being sent to a regular soldier rank, Tristan broke into the armory, stole a valuable weapon, and escaped to the Varden. He changed his name briefly to Ruggard Duskeen.
Telling the Varden of all the information he knew, he was surprised at the rather cold shoulder he received from having an Empire background. Walking away from the Organization after his mind was probed, Tristan began to search for Aarone. Finding out that Aarone, with a small group of lads and lasses, had escaped the orphanage when a military recruit came to pick random youths. Wandering and doing bounty hunter jobs, he finally met Bellania Astrofellia, his one love. They settled down and got decent jobs, but one day Bella was captured without a trace, and Tristan went and looked for Aarone and Bella alike, years passing. He occasionally went under the alias of Aurik ‘Ricky’ Brinkwater.
He still wanders, looking for clues of his two loved ones.
