Other name: Kaala, since the humans have a problem with the elven lilt in her name.

Eyes: Almost jade and almost forest yet at the same time neither.
Hair: Silky black hair common to elves that falls to her midback. In summer it takes on a bluish hue while turning almost a midnight color in the fall. When traveling, whether on foot or in the air, she keeps her hair wrapped in almost a bun style.

Clothes: She wears darker clothes, usually tunics and leggings, while a falconer’s hood shadows her features. When not in this, she wears lighter formal dresses and lets her hair fall.
Weapons: Kaala prefers fighting with her two swords but is also proficient at throwing weapons. Her secret weapon, however, is a staff that can be broken down into three pieces and a narrow, curved blade. When she puts these items together she forms a weapon similar to a Naginata.
Personality: Although a little arrogant when speaking with strangers, once Kaala gets to know someone she is quite friendly. She doesn’t talk about her parents much anymore and avoids the topic when asked about it. She’s got quite a mischievous streak these days, brought on by raising Mirror and running around with humans but she also knows when she should be serious.

History: Kaala was born in the Elven capital of Ellesmera, though she spent little time there. Only a few decades after her birth her father took a scouting position in the forest to the south and her mother refused to be parted from him. Growing up, Kaala learned her father’s trade, much to her mother’s disappointment and her sister’s disgust. While Kaala learned the scouting trade, her sister Lutra learned society and politics, the art of manipulation, and that status counted for everything. Of course, this isn’t what her mother taught her, but rather how Lutra twisted the teachings. At the age of seventy Kaala was scouting the area around their home when she spotted an envoy of the Queen.
The message the runner carried told them that the family was to move to the Varden headquarters, in order for Laina to act as a diplomat. Lutra, dismayed at the news that she would be leaving her perfect society, grew bitter, refusing to acknowledge her family and instead taking up with the Twins when they arrived. When the Twins betrayal came to light decades later Lutra’s betrayal naturally followed. Laina and Galath, angry at the news of Lutra’s handiwork with the twins, swore to fight in the upcoming battle with the Empire. On the Burning Plains, they stood against the army as part of the first wave of fighters. Their fate was sealed, however, the moment Murtagh and Thorn rose to the skies.
Kaala, mad with grief at her sister’s betrayal and her parent’s deaths, demanded she be allowed to return their bodies to Ellesmera. It was on her way home, however, that she stumbled across a small pond that carried the egg that would change her life.

Nickname: Silverwind
Color: Dark silver with black undertones. His head spikes, once ivory, have turned midnight black as have his talons. His eyes are a deep amber color.
Age: 17 Months
History: Mirror remembers very little from before he hatched. Most of his egg life was filled with a blue expanse. He later learned that this was his image of the pond where he was hidden. His first true memories were only of Kaala’s face and since then she is his only true reason for existence.
Personality: Now that he is older, Mirror is much more mellow. He still has a slight mischievous streak which he retained from his hatchling days. Most of the time, however, he has taken to being very level headed and good natured. His favorite thing to do, however, still remains napping in the sun.
Specialties: All dragons are of course born to take to the sky. Mirror, however, was also born to take to the sea. His swimming abilities are amazing, his large frame almost as fast in the water as he is in the air. With his current level of training, Mirror has the ability to sustain a flame for just under five minutes straight.
