Personality: A very quiet, diplomatic personality. She can be bubbly at times and she also has her mood swings. She is kind to those who treat her well. On the outside, she appears as though she does not have any emotions but she just hides them.
Likes/Dislikes: Hates the fighting between the Varden and the Empire. She loves her home of Ellesmera. She hated it that people tried to persuade her to take a side. She loves practicing her archery and her magic. She loves sword fighting too, especially when she is fighting against someone around her level of fighting. She loves learning other languages, like the Dwarven language.
Family: Her mother, Raya, was a high Lady in the Ellesmera area. Queen Islanzadi then sent her out as a ambassador for their people and got killed en route to Ur'baen. Her father was murdered by a pair of Urgals when in en route back to Du Weldenvarden after Ailis and her twin, Alya, were born. Nothing else is known about him. Alya, Ailis' twin, was killed by some Urgals when Raya took the girls out to Gilead. Raya had left the twins by themselves and Urgals had come to Gilead and killed Alya because well...you know how Urgals are: brutal and not caring really. Ailis escaped, using magic (though it was unknown to her) to protect herself.
Brief History: Ailis was born to Raya Darkslayer and unknown father. She was raised wealthy, like the lady that she was. She had to witness her own twin's death and her mother's at a young age. She managed to get past the grief and moved on, serving Islanzadi as her ambassador, other than Arya, and taking on her mother's title as Lady. As soon as she realized that she was in the middle of the war between the Empire and Varden, she resigned and she began a organization that worked for the Empire at first and then switched to the Varden. The organization, Crimson Night, was a simple organization that helped with trade until Ailis, also known in Crimson Night as "Prince Darkslayer", decided she was through shipping goods for the Empire and switched to the Varden's side when she saw a family brutally murdered by Urgals. From then on, Crimson Night became a lethal, spying agency/organization. Ailis has continued to run it but leaves constantly to travel around and find information.
